Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW8 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW8. For many, GW7 was a low-scoring affair with very little excitement. 35 of the 48 managers who got their predictions in, failed to score more than 6pts, the other 13 managers who did manage more, all scored similarly, meaning its a packed podium at every level! In Third we have Booty01, Terminators, Albox, sweetbluetoffee, GoalMachine, Goldilocks, Shrivathsa who all managed 7pts, they sit just behind Gear and Tekno-kun who managed 8pts and claim second. Leading the pack with a game-week winning score of 9pts we have eplnoob. farao69, theswirly and bundeena bunnies. However, eplnoob and farao69 were the only two managers to guess the FGS correctly, and because they were both 9 minutes out from the act...[Read More]

FF247 Site Team News GW7 Icy cold Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW7 In FPL a fixture swing can sometimes be an opportunity, more often than not though, it serves only to cloud our judgment. In my own team I diligently played my wildcard in GW6 because you know, fixtures and that. I looked at my side with its Arsenal Tripple up, Mbuemo and all the other likely lads and thought ‘yup, this is the week I turn things around. When we reviewed the site team I shuddered, we weren’t playing our wildcard and our 11 looked sub-optimal at best. Little did I know that the site team would end up beating my own by some 34pts, thanks in no small part to our patience with a certain Cole Palmer. If only we’d captained him. Dammit. But let’s not be greedy, whilst our captain (Haaland) did blank, elsewhere we ha...[Read More]
Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW7 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW7 With a brace of 4-2s (Arsenal and Chelsea), an away win by 3 goals for Spurs and the unexpected away win by Fulham, the scores were predictably low. For most people. Indeed, bar this week’s winner, more than half the league finished below 5pts. In third place this week we have Albox with a lofty 8pts, in second, it was shared, with both Tenno-Kun and jon9898 both hitting 9pts, but way out in front our very own IvanTheTerrible somehow managed a not so unlucky 13pts and with it, this week’s top spot. Nice. Many congratulations to Ivan! Please email us here: contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk to claim your prize. Overall League Table THIS WEEK’S COMPETITION… scoring couldn’t be muc...[Read More]

FF247 Site Team News GW6 Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW6 Our Gameweek 5 Result Okay so things aren’t exactly going great this season. We are doing the correct decisions with the benching as we aren’t leaving massive hauls on the bench but that is mainly because the bench isn’t scoring any points anyway! In fact, we didn’t have a single point on our bench this week with all four getting big fat ZEROS! Bergvall was on the bench but because of Diogo Jota’s no-show against Bournemouth, Bergvall came in with his 1 point. He joined the other 4 players in our squad who got 2 points or less, Eze just snuck ahead of that group with 3 points thanks to his clean sheet. 4 players returned with a goal a piece so that’s nice… I suppose! What is really killing us ...[Read More]
FPL Captain Picks GW6 Welcome to FPL Captain Picks GW6. FOMO – Fear Of Missing Out!!! With his ten goals in the opening five game weeks of the season, I know that we will all be captaining the Norwegian Robot. With over 70% ownership if he hauls then we are all quids in, good moods all around and off to a nice start to the game week. If he blanks then we are mostly in with the masses, so no great damage done to our mini league / overall rankings. But for those managers who do not have him (I am looking at you Guy, Rich & Swirly) or those managers who hate their game week ruined by a Saturday lunchtime captain fail then who else should you consider captaining? Nicholas Jackson v Brighton (H) I present for your consideration Chelsea’s Nicholas Jackson (£7.7m). Jackson seems to have ceme...[Read More]
Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW6 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW6 Last week we had some technical difficulties so no results for you lot! We are back up and running at full speed this week so you get not one but two results to feast your eyes on. In GW4, there wasn’t a single player who correctly guessed that De Ligt would be the first goal scorer against Southampton. That meant there wasn’t many who earned a double digit score but we still had 9 who got over 10 points. Tied for 3rd place was Shrivatsha and Gear on 11 points. 2nd place was Ivan the Terrible who just snuck ahead on 12 points but out on their own with a two point lead was the one with all the luck, Leprechaun on 14 points. In GW5, we had a good few players get above 10 points with only 4 ...[Read More]

FF247 Site Team News GW5 Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW5 Our Gameweek 4 Result Soooo…. do you want the good news or the bad news first? Well, the good news is that we didn’t leave many points on the bench – 1 between them. And that’s the end of the good news. The bad news is that just two of our players contributed 39 of of our miserly 54 points. Or 72.2%. The other 9 got 15, Palmer with 3 being the top scorer out of those. In fact 4 of them got just the 1, the other 4 doubled that. Pathetic. On a more even note it seems to have been a similarly poor week for the majority. We only know this because despite us being just 3 above the average of 51, we somehow still got a green arrow! A small one, but after that sh*t show we’d have taken a sizeable red one on the ...[Read More]
FPL Captain Picks GW5 Welcome to FPL Captain Picks GW5 We don’t get many opportunities to go against Haaland, especially given the form he’s in this season. However, with Arsenal the visiting team to the Etihad, it could be the opportunity to look for your gains elsewhere this week. Our writers are on hand to offer up alternatives and of course, fear not, we’re not going to totally overlook the big man regardless of the opposition. Let’s see what they have to say! Rosco — Palmer v West Ham (A) Haaland and Salah have been the go-to captains this season and for good reason. With Haaland up against the best defence in the league, most managers will turn to the Egyptian king, because a home game for Liverpool is a sure thing, right? Well, we all know how that turned out last game week. In all ...[Read More]
