FPL Tips GW12

FPL Tips GW12 Welcome to FPL Tips GW12 Goalkeepers With the final International Break of the year now over, we all move full steam ahead into a run of nine game weeks, with the feast of the Christmas/New Year schedule until we reach the famine of the 3rd Round of the FA Cup on Saturday 11th January 25. The goalkeeping position is a position that us fantasy managers do not want to spend too much money on and is very much a “set and forget.” Most managers will have a £4.5m and non-playing £4.0m goalkeeping duo or perhaps two rotating £4.5m goalkeepers depending on the fixtures of that particular game week. There has been eleven game weeks so far this season totalling 110 games with the 220 teams accounting for only forty-five clean sheets (20%) during the course of the season. To briefly sum...[Read More]

FPL Captain Picks GW12

FPL Captain Picks GW12 Welcome to FPL Captain Picks GW12 Is the robot broken? That seems to be the question on many a managers lips this international break, and over the last few weeks. He has really let the side down lately and has seen many people want to move not only the armband off him but move him out of their teams altogether! I know I have sold him this week on my Wildcard. That should really end the article and debate right there as we all know my luck will mean Haaland scores 5 this weekend against Spurs, but alas I live in eternal hope that my decisions are correct. Below we have 3 men who have written about 3 other men that we all will let dictate our moods over the weekend! I might just light a fire, pour a drink and sit in ignorance! Let’s see what has been said…...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW12

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW12 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW12. I think you will all join me in saying “Thank God for no more Internationals until March!” Boy, do I hate those things! Now we have a solid 13 gameweeks without any breaks! That’s right we are about to enter the silly season! H&L is about to embark on the annual journey of double or triple result articles, keeping you all in suspense at times and just making sure you are all kept on your toes. This is the time where the men are separated from the boys (or women from girls… we do not discriminate here in the H&L towers) GW11 which feels so long ago now saw some shock results! Spurs went full Spursy and lost 1-2 against Ipswich which was the latter’s first win...[Read More]

FF247 Site Team Gameweek 11

FF247 Site Team Gameweek 11 Welcome to FF247 Site Team Gameweek 11 As above, so below … (the average) This is not a lesson in Hermetecism but one of FPL life. Oh boy how we could use some magic, philosphical, religous – or all of the foregoing – intervention for our team this season. It’s been grey, purgatory even. In Gameweek 10 we were above the weekly average if you are of the optimistic persuasion, ‘just and no more’ if the cross falls on the pessimisitic side of the divine line. Forty two (42) points overall and just the THREE above the field. A green arrow to the dizzying heights of 2,898,342. Oh Lord take us now* * to the top million even? A captain fail in Haaland, Dominic Calvert-Lewin (we’ll see you after the lesson) with his usual hopele...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW11

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW11 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW11 First off some housekeeping from our resident number crunch James Simmo – ‘Also, I happened to notice that MBD had commented about GW8 points being missed out, and I’ve corrected for that. Feel free to mention it in the main article or first comment underneath’. So there you go! Right, back to results. Sarri-ball and RafflesHotspur hit 13pts, it was good, but not good enough, they’ll have to settle for third place this week. IvanTheTerrible, Leprechaun and pjlill went 1pt better with 14pts and take second place. In first it was a three-way tie on 15pts for Albox, inittowinit, GoalMachine. We went to the FGS tie-breaker. The drama. GoalMachine drops out with their predi...[Read More]

FF247 Site Team News GW10

FF247 Site Team News GW10 You’re getting sacked in the morning…. Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW10 Our Gameweek 9 Result Three red arrows in a row, after a 55-point finish. The average was 54, which says it all. 46 of those were from 4 players – Gvardiol (9), Mbuemo (15), Palmer (10) and Haaland (12). Even the latter was disappointing as Erling was our captain. The remaining 7 got 9 points between them. Slow hand clap. We have £0.1m in the bank and 2 free transfers to waste use ahead of GW10. Let’s go see what was decided…. Our GW10 Transfer(s) On the face of it, there wasn’t a lot wrong here. Unfortunately for us, but admittedly probably more so for Ange and Spurs, speedster and high line dependant Micky van de Ven pulled up with another suspected hammy in midweek. I...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW10

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW10 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW10 I (Matt) switched off from FPL in GW9 and THANK GOD I DID! The FPL Gods laughed in my face and did everything I didn’t want. Thankfully though here at H&L we aren’t as devastating and stick to the clear cut results. There were some big results too in GW9. West Ham have ruined everyone’s fun by getting Ten Hag sacked after the Hammers won 2-1. Man City may have won but Haaland largely failed his TC backers. Arsenal and Liverpool played out a 2-2 draw. This led to plenty of points, twists and turns for Harry and Lloyd. We had 5 players get double digit scores. 2 managers on 10 points, 2 managers on 11 points and 1 singular winner to claim it all on 12 points. Sitting tied for 2...[Read More]

FF247 Site Team Gameweek 9

FF247 Site Team Gameweek 9 Now we saw him race ….. and we had Saliba, not a trace of luck on our side …. Welcome to FF247 Site Team Gameweek 9 As has seemed to be the way more often than we would like, Gameweek 8 was another below average showing for the Site Team. Posting a meak and measley 34 points and two below the going rate of 36, we reside at 2,764,797 overall. Sigh. Perhaps we have been spoiled in previous years and this is our regression to mean? (Bloody hope not – Ed.) A case of sugar and sh(ingle) in defence as we owned William Saliba (-3) on Saturday evening and then Josko Gvardiol (10) on Sunday afternoon. Net 7 – that any good?, laugh or cry etc etc…. The defence was rounded out with two other players falling either side of average – Micky ...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW9

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW9 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW9. I’m constantly amazed at just how bad I am at this prediction lark, whilst I’m continually impressed by just how some of you lot do it! Whilst I managed a paltry 5pts, it was a much more competitive field at the top of the table. With 11pts our very own Gear takes third, he was pipped at the post by WhoIsRonaldo, redmecca and hammersfan who all managed 12pts. However out in front was pjlill, 13pts was enough to secure this week’s top spot. Special mention to redmecca who was the only manager to correctly guess this week’s FGS. Many congratulations to pjlill! Please email us here: contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk to claim your prize. Overall League Table THIS WEEK’S COMPE...[Read More]
