Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW5

Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW5 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW5. This week there were some standout results that few predicted, Palace doing a number on Spurs (3-0) stands out and I’d have predicted nobody would get the FGS, but as you’ll see below I was wrong on that front. Elsewhere, Chelsea and Liverpool both scored 3 times without reply and as expected Manchester United did a number on my lot, though our single goal reply may have upset more than a few 4-0 predictions. Let’s get to the results! There were lots of big scores this week; the first 14 players all attaining double-digit scores. Well played! And 14 it would seem is the magic number this week, Sam10 and Jon9898 both reached that number with Jon also correctly predic...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 5

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 5 Welcome to Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 5. As is customary we review the previous week’s Captains selections to see who took Ronaldo and who took Lukaku who had the best pick from the vast array of attacking talent on show. And it was a tie! Smash took his boy Lukaku and Rosco took his boy Ronaldo and wouldnt you just know it?! Eachy peachy with both of these heavyweights posting 13 points and sharing the spoils. Two goals and three bonus points each. Wowzers! This therefore meant that it was always going to be really difficult for our third leg to get even close to this and so Kralin decided to select Michail Antonio and get so far away from the two titans, that he actually slipped into minus points. (Sorry Kralin but -1 (-2 there...[Read More]

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 4

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 4 FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 4 Welcome back to FPL and if you are one of these shut-down-completely types who has spent the time between the end of Gameweek 3 and this deadline up a mountain with no internet or civilisation, you haven’t missed an awful lot (pffft)! Just tell me you made your transfers or pressed the confirm button correctly? No? You could be in for a rough one then. Anyway, the fixtures themselves have us off to the capital this lunchtime for a South meets North affair as Palace host Spurs at Selhurst Park. At 3pm – in a continuing glorious and welcome return of normality – we have count ’em SIX matches on offer. Those who have the luxury of watching matches at this time, we guess you may have your eyes fully on Old Tr...[Read More]

Predicted Line-ups and FPL Team News Gameweek 4

Predicted Line-ups and FPL Team News Gameweek 4 If you can’t do something properly don’t bother doing it at all… The above title is a bit of a motto of FF247. And it sort of explains why we used to do this article but then suddenly stopped. The truth of the matter is that it simply became too much work for the team. Following every word of every press conference and then analysing that info and translating it into a line-up… twenty times, was quite frankly a bit too time consuming. The knock on effect was that it also pulled some key personnel away from the site on a Thursday and Friday. So we got into a situation whereby we had RMT’s stacking up and nobody to answer them! Would you rather the likes of Smash, GP and Init be stuck behind a computer waiting to r...[Read More]

FPL Team Gameweek 4

FPL Team Gameweek 4 Welcome to FPL Team Gameweek 4 So long ago was it that gameweek 3 ended, that your author genuinely couldn’t remember if it was good, bad or indifferent for our team. As it turns out, ‘good’ is the appropriate description, as we were yet again respectably above the average score with our second consecutive 69 – placing us contently at 456,916 overall. OK so not front page news, exactly, but we haven’t totally blown it already (he crosses fingers and toes and touches the nearest wood). Our 15 points above the average score in Gameweek 3 was built upon a captaincy success in the form of Jamaican international and ‘Ballon d’Or in waiting’ Michail Antonio with his 22-point haul. This was supplemented in attack by Toney (6) eve...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 4

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 4 Welcome to Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 4 Well, that was a bit of a weird old International Break. We’ve had players going, players staying at home, players going when they were supposed to stay at home, players staying at home when they were supposed to be going, players going places they weren’t supposed to go, players going places their clubs said they couldn’t go, but did anyway, players being dragged off pitches for coming from somewhere that they perhaps had or hadn’t been. Or something to that effect. If anyone does indeed return and if anyone can figure out where anyone has been and whether they now need to quarantine then you’re probably more on the ball than most players or clubs. Whether you are ripping up your team with a WC or multiple hits t...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 4

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 4 Welcome to Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 4 GW3 seems like a distant memory now but even so we shall have our usual round-up / publuc shaming of the writers from that one before we move onto the Ronaldo show this week’s selections. 1. Matt – Antonio, 11 points. A goal and an assist was enough to see Matt take first place in GW3. 2. Rosco – Son, 10 points. Rosco was just pipped at the post as Son could only manage a goal and 2 bonus points. 3/4. – James – Benrahma / Ivan – Bruno, 2 points apiece. Both got diddly squat. It’s fair to say that GW3 was a bit quiet on the points front, let’s go see if this weeks Capo pickers can rustle up a few more for us. Kralin – Antonio v Southampton(A) I...[Read More]

Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2021-22

Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2021-22 International break time always means one thing, GABO time! This mostly passive aggressive panel was filled with our fearless feared leader Init, Rosco, who after only one week of doing Init’s site duties needed a therapist and GP who tries to always be nice, but has been sneaking in snarky comments on the site. With a crazy first few gameweeks and a crazy transfer window to boot, there is certainly a lot of questions when it pertains to fpl that we all probably have. I have asked once again on the site for any in particular you might want answered and have included the ones I could that were not addressed in other questions. Well, without further ado, let us see what the boys had to say. Thanks for reading Grab, Avoid or Bore...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW4

Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW4 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW4. While everyone is getting all giddy over a certain Portuguese forward, here at Harry and Llyods it’s business as usual and there will be no mention of said player. In GW3 it was business as usual for Manchester City with yet another 5-0 win. Outside of that fixture is was all about 1’s and 2’s with no other team scoring more than two goals. Let’s see how that is reflected in this week’s results! This weeks winner was Constantine with a whopping 19pts, thanks in no small part to his correct guess of Gundogan as FGS, a feat managed by just 3 other managers – Hammerfan, LittleRedLacazette and Qwkliduzzit. Constantine earned himself 14pts in the tradit...[Read More]

FPL Ramblings

FPL Ramblings I don’t do intros if I can help it and that will not change today. Here we go. Team of the Week David de Gea led all keepers this week in points with 7, a couple of great saves helped United to their first clean sheet of the season. Varane made his first start and went out and had the highest score for any defender with 12. His assist, three bonus and clean sheet all helped him stand out this GW. Perhaps a little lucky though to get the six extra points. Think most of us would give Greenwood a lot of credit for the goal as he had a ton of work to do after receiving the pass from Rafa. Seamus Coleman made the team after snagging a clean sheet accompanied by an assist for winning a penalty. The last one on this list Sergio Reguilon was perhaps the most impressive one as h...[Read More]

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 3

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 3 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 3 Another gameweek in the books and another on the cards. As Gameweek 3 starts we are sitting here dreaming of how we are going to fit a certain Portuguese superstar into our teams. Still, let us leave that struggle for another day and turn our attention to the task at hand, which is scoring well this week. The gameweek gets started with City laying waste to Arsenal in the early game. That is followed by five 3pm kick-offs. Villa take on Brentford, Brighton play host to Everton, Toon welcome in Southampton, Norwich battle it out with Leicester and hopefully The Hammers take apart Palace. The day is not done yet though, as the Premier League have left their best game for last when Liverpool play host to Chelsea as both t...[Read More]

Site Team Gameweek 3

Site Team Gameweek 3 Welcome to Site Team Gameweek 3 For a team whose captain blanked (didn’t most?) and not (YET) owning Benrahma, to score a 13-above average 69 points – and a total of 163 points after two – we don’t’ feel too bad with the current position. We are 677,270 overall and we shall apply the old adage, “You can’t win FPL after the first couple of Gameweeks but you can lose it”. Now let’s go win it! Gameweek 2 you remember was the captaincy battle between the two FPL behemoths – Mohamed Salah and Bruno Fernandes – when all along we should have gone with Antonio, Trent or *checks notes* Tsimikas ….. Those three led/dragged our team along with scores of 16, 12 and 11. Only DCL and Raphinha (both 7) with goals and Luke Shaw with his two bonus points (no, really) didn’t...[Read More]
