Euro 2020/21 Fantasy Football

Welcome to the FF247 hub for the Euro’s. As per our Champions League article this shall be the main place for the duration of the comp and will act more as a destination to gather and discuss it all, rather than being anything of particular fantasy use.

What you need to know

How to play?
You have a couple of options here;

Alternatively you can simply update your UEFA Games App (the one you may have used for the CL) and it will show up as a dual purpose one with the Euros game on there.

The Rules
This game is exactly as per the CL one with in-game matchday-by-matchday substitutions and Capo changes available between each day.

We expect most of our league members will be au-fait with these rules but if you are unsure then simply ask in the comments below and somebody will always be on hand to explain further.

Hints, tips, squads, line-ups etc…
For once UEFA have actually made a pretty good job of this and so we won’t be bothering to post any of the above as articles as it is pretty much all there for you. They have the entire raft of squads posted on both their website and on their official App along with a run-down on every single team.

The FF247 League
We are not running a ‘public’ league for this one, we are keeping it in-house for the summer fun and as such we have our usual ‘Regulars League’. We did post the league code in the comments section previously but this has now disappeared. The good news is that the majority of our usual CL crew saw it and have already joined,

All we ask if you enter the league is that you please keep the code to yourself and don’t divulge it to family or friends who do not frequent the site. This is for the FF247 Community who will be commenting and interacting on here and we would like to keep it that way. Ivan (The Terrible) will be keeping a watch and if you do then expect to be dealt with harshly!

  2. I’ve had diogo jota in every draft. Do I now need to question why?

    • Should be ok, I just dislike he plays on the last day.

      It’s always going to be a risk with both Silvas, Felix and Guedes.

      Ronaldo and/or Fernandes and you can probably sleep easy.

      • Just went by minutes in previous games but honestly no idea how safe he would be as a starter.

        Still find it bizarre they’ve had a friendly 2 days before the start of the tournament!

  3. Hey guys. How’s the prep going? Here’s my first draft. Need suggestions. Have not been able to follow many international updates. What say?

    • As good as any thought make berardi captain as he plays first and if he flops then change to someone playing the next day.

      Is safonov a starting keeper?

    • I think Shunin is the Russian goalkeeper Constantine so I’d try to grab an extra 0.5mln to upgrade him to a 4.5. Probably drop Rodrgiuez down to a 5.0.

    • Cheers Webstar and GP. Let me check on the GK situation. Also, Berardi will be my captain for the first day.
      Any player that I “should” have in my team and is missed?

  4. I need to read the rules a bit so probably more changes but this is my 1st draft

    • Just ensure you have a nice range of captaincy options for each day really. Looks like you know this as you have Florenzi set up to kick off with.

      You have good players. They all look starters anyway. A NM striker is interesting.

  5. Would you keep the Spanish players or get rid before Friday?

    • I’m a bit concerned about Spain coming into this tournament is all I’ll say.

      Moreno has had a brilliant season but the rest I wouldn’t be falling over myself to buy.

      • Spain have called up an additional 11 players to their “parallel bubble” amid concerns that more first-team squad members could test positive for COVID-19. They join the likes of Kepa, Carlos Soler, Pablo Fornals and Rodrigo Moreno, who arrived earlier this week

  6. Hi all, it’s been a while! Hope everyone is doing well.

    So my planned fantasy break has gone out of the window and I’ve had very limited research time. So at this point I’m just hoping for a team of starters. Any obvious mistakes with this lot? All thoughts are welcome.

    • I really like it but agree with Aaron that to me, Spain is an unnecessary risk just now. Any of their players could return positive tests between now and Monday. I know in theory any player could but the problems with Spain are at least documented already.

      Maybe a Swedish or Swiss defender for Pau and maybe Barella, Sabitzer or Soucek for Ferran?
