Fantasy Football 247 at the Football Blog Awards
Fantasy Football 247 is delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted as a finalist for the Best FPL Football Blog award (FBA). The finals take place on November 13th at the National Football Museum in Manchester. This is an immense achievement for us, bearing in mind we only went live in November of 2013 and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the team at FF247 for all their hard work, given freely and in their own time, for making the site what it is today.
[clear]
We would also like to thank all our members for being such a huge part of the site – without you we are nothing and the site is irrelevant. We have always aimed to make FF247 a community site, a fun site as well, of course, and a useful tool for FPL managers. It is your involvement, comments, banter and engagement that ultimately has pushed FF247 into the realms of being nominated for awards such as this.
So we thank you deeply and look forward to a bigger, better, funnier future together!
Finally, we would like to ask that you vote for us in the hope that little old FF247 may just upset some of the more established names that we are up against. Clearly our age will not make it easy for us to win against other sites that have been around for years, but you know us, we’ll give it a go. Every vote counts.
Voting is very straightforward – all you need to is click on the link below, either taking you to the FBA site or through the twitter button.
In case you’re thinking, “I’ve already voted”, then firstly thanks, it’s your votes that have been responsible for us being nominated. But from now, the votes have been reset to zero and we start again.
If you’re on twitter, then this is the most simple method.
Voting via the FBA site link involves about about two minutes more of your time! Just click this link (or the red ‘tweet your vote’ button above), enter your details and under “categories”, click the FPL drop down menu and you will see Fantasy Football 247 appear. Simply highlight us and click “Vote Now” – you will be sent an email which you will need to confirm your vote.
The FF247 team will be attending the event itself and we will be sure to post pics on here and via twitter of what will surely be a fantastic night out regardless of the results! Tickets are on general sale as well so if anyone fancies it please feel free to come but be sure to let us know so that so we can include you in our party!
Thanks again for your time, patience and support!

Guys anyone think Wisdom will move up in price at all this week?
I’m thinking of improving my bench by swapping Hooiveld (4m) > wisdom (4.1m) and i only 0.1 itb
I’d prefer to wait until later in the week incase any of my regulars get injured in Euro games.
currently at 26.3%, so not changing price any time soon!! If he does it will be late in the week (thurs/fri), cant see that many people transferring in a west brom defender this week though, so i reckon his price won’t change!
cheers Hazard.
after the Man U game tonight West Brom have Palace and Leicester in the next 2 so he could be worth a punt for those 2.
It also frees up a Southampton player as i currently have 3, if i was to bring Tadic or Mane
sounds good photek!!
Thanks to all who have voted for us so far in the FBAs, much appreciated. Feel free to ask boyfriends, girlfriends, partners, kids, dogs, colleagues, mates….anyone!! We’d dearly love to pick that award up for you.

Would You Guys Transfer Out Mane For Tadic For -8 or leave it how it is ?
Jeet, stick with Mane mate – Sunderland were truly horrendous on Saturday, so careful chasing those Tadic points – he’ll probably take another 10 games to get 4 assists!
That’s what I’m thinking too. The majority of Tadic’s points came this weekend. Pellè is by far the best Southampton pick for the long run.
Don’t completely agree with you. Tadic takes all set pieces (free kicks/corners) and also is the penalty taker. Mane with his runs will leave Soton with a lot of penalty kicks, I’m certain of it. Tadic is the best man at Soton and his relationship wtih Pelle is perfect. He was the main man in 5 of the 8 goals and also was part of the setup for the other 3. Anyway, I’m happy with both. Picked Tadic over Mane because I know he will always play 90 minutes as it stands now. Also have 3 Soton players as coverage which might be a lot but they don’t play European matches which really makes them more interesting. Will drop them after the Villa game which is in like 5 matches.
Anyway, I think Mane will score way more goals. Tadic is like Fabregas but playing much further up the pitch.
Raz makes a great point re gametime – Mane of course is involved in the African Nations qualifiers, hence he was only a sub due to his late return last week.
I think Tadic is great, but also agree that Mane is potentially more explosive. I wouldn’t rip up a side to get Tadic though, just on the basis of 23pts last weekend.
yeah i wouldn’t take a -8 for Tadic, he had a great round but as good as Southampton were, Sunderland were truely awful
Cheers guys !

Firstly,my Graveyard work colleagues will be voting plus some other dodgy associate’s I know.
Me and Samantha are so looking forward to this Bash as Lording it up with my employee’s on a firm’s night off will be brilliant.
Our hotel’s booked and we will be Manchester from 1pm as we plan to checkout the firmness of that Hotel mattress first.
Bring it on.
Potty
Thanks for sharing Potty! The info that is, not the mattress.
see you at 1.05pm Potty
It a bit Early but Who is Everyone Going to Captain i’ve can’t decide between Pelle or Aguero ?
aguero for me jeet.
tough one, both are in great form.
Pelle will probably be fresher as he has no Euro commitments, where as Aguero has an away trip to Moscow on Tuesday.
Congratulations guys! That;s a brilliant achievement :biggun:
