Fantasy Football 247 at the Football Blog Awards

fbaFantasy Football 247 is delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted as a finalist for the Best FPL Football Blog award (FBA). The finals take place on November 13th at the National Football Museum in Manchester. This is an immense achievement for us, bearing in mind we only went live in November of 2013 and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the team at FF247 for all their hard work, given freely and in their own time, for making the site what it is today.

[clear]

tweetvoteWe would also like to thank all our members for being such a huge part of the site – without you we are nothing and the site is irrelevant. We have always aimed to make FF247 a community site, a fun site as well, of course, and a useful tool for FPL managers. It is your involvement, comments, banter and engagement that ultimately has pushed FF247 into the realms of being nominated for awards such as this.

So we thank you deeply and look forward to a bigger, better, funnier future together!
Finally, we would like to ask that you vote for us in the hope that little old FF247 may just upset some of the more established names that we are up against. Clearly our age will not make it easy for us to win against other sites that have been around for years, but you know us, we’ll give it a go. Every vote counts.

Voting is very straightforward – all you need to is click on the link below, either taking you to the FBA site or through the twitter button.
In case you’re thinking, “I’ve already voted”, then firstly thanks, it’s your votes that have been responsible for us being nominated. But from now, the votes have been reset to zero and we start again.

If you’re on twitter, then this is the most simple method.

Voting via the FBA site link involves about about two minutes more of your time! Just click this link (or the red ‘tweet your vote’ button above), enter your details and under “categories”, click the FPL drop down menu and you will see Fantasy Football 247 appear. Simply highlight us and click “Vote Now” – you will be sent an email which you will need to confirm your vote.

The FF247 team will be attending the event itself and we will be sure to post pics on here and via twitter of what will surely be a fantastic night out regardless of the results! Tickets are on general sale as well so if anyone fancies it please feel free to come but be sure to let us know so that so we can include you in our party!

Thanks again for your time, patience and support!

All at Fantasy Football 247.

  1. How’s my team for next week? Did two transfers last night

    • Looks good to me Veer, as Cookie says just keep your fingers crossed you don’t pick up an injury in the Euro games. Interesting captain choice.

  2. Diego Costa sat out Chelsea training this morning ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League against Maribor according to the BBC. Hmmmm…

    • xabi- doesn’t mean anything FPL wise, its an easy game for us (hopefully), so remy/drogba should do the job fine..might as well give him rest during the easy games no?
He will be back for united, I’m 80% sure!

      • Afternoon guys,hi Hazard I thought u just said he’d be rested for the easy games!! 😉

  3. Oi. At the moment I can play with team that I have Falcao-Kun-Costa as forwards. Bit too much and Pelle is fine for the next 4 games. After that though. laugh

    • screw you raz -_- don’t tell me you have a beast midfield and decent defence do you :what:

      • My midfield was better a few weeks ago. Sterling looked like a season keeper but I really don’t think he can hold this much longer. Like a billion fixtures for England, Liverpool (EPL), Cups and CL. Nightmare for dude. So felt I had to replace him with Tadic, Tadic looks really fit…

But yeah, I should be fine for the next game. Waiting on Costa news though. Read he missed training today.

        • sterling went this gw for me too! it will be a waiting game this week, loving all these costa out transfers though (as long as no price drop!!), they will all feel stupid when he plays and will have to get him back in for apr the following week= price rise for us laugh

  4. Hi

I’m new to site so first post. Can’t decide what needs sorting defence or my back up subs.

    Team is

    Degea (my hill)

Clyne Moreno o Shea (wisdom duff)

Di Maria fabregas Ramsay henderson (cattermole)

    Falcao costa welbeck

I’ve got 2 fts and 0.4 mil in bank. I’m looking at
    1. binning o Shea and moreno for jagielka and chambers
    2. Changing cattermole but for who? Davis

I’d also like to get Barkley in now he’s back.

Sorry I don’t know how to link my team so suggestions welcome.

    Cheers

    • hi kickers, welcome to the site, be sure to stay around- you will see your rankings soar (trust me, we all have, well, i have anyway!!!)
have you thought about aguero? he’s a must have in my book, however:
Your back up subs aren’t that bad!! duff/wisdom are really not too bad, but cattermole probably does need changing (—>boyd?)

i would put main aims into defence, o’shea–>chambers looks good, how much cash does that leave you??
As you already have welbeck, ramsey is ok to go, so you could get barkley in there, but i would maybe look to tadic and have barkley up your sleeve when he has some more game time.

      • Cheers hazard. I guess getting chambers wud overload me with arsenal!

Changing is he’s to chambers leaves me with 0.3 mil

        • Oshea! Would you bin Ramsay and Henderson for Barkley and tadic?

        • sounds good, but the problem still is the defence, which really needs some money!!

        • o’shea–>chambers
ramsey–>siggurdson (need to see more of barkley first)
that leaves you with?? 2.2 mil? which you could do falcao–>aguero (as you have adm), or as cookie said, get baines in for moreno!

    • kickers – Welcome! I would get rid of Ramsey and Moreno for Sigurdsson and Baines. Then next week, it’s Aguero time 😉

      • Cheers everyone for the advice.. Not convinced on aguero for fitness yet but awesome when he is. I feel a wildcard coming!

        • But waiting till after champions league

        • Aguero has played the 90 4 times in the last 6 games. I think it’s safe to say he’s fit and most definitely firing.

    • Which of these 3 options would you go with?

      • Or this one

        • Cheers cookie. I’m swayed with that one to as gives best all round coverage

        • Maybe Coleman as he’s cheaper! May wait and see on tadic when he plays a decent team

        • I see your point cookie. Talking out my arse!

    • I know you’ve changed your mind on it anyway, but just to add another view.

Don’t get Davis – he’s decent but you could end up in the position I’m in i.e. unable to get Tadic because you have 3 saints players.

      • After falcao going on the bench any options are possible now!!!

  5. Well done guys…
    My vote is in!

  6. Tweet from FFF:
“Couple of adjustments currently being made to make the price rises even more accurate, updating very soon!”

    • Cool. I read Diego Costa missed training today. We already knew he wouldn’t play midweek. Guess this is Mou giving him rest. We’ll have to say if he gets back to training later this week.
