Fantasy Football 247 at the Football Blog Awards
Fantasy Football 247 is delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted as a finalist for the Best FPL Football Blog award (FBA). The finals take place on November 13th at the National Football Museum in Manchester. This is an immense achievement for us, bearing in mind we only went live in November of 2013 and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the team at FF247 for all their hard work, given freely and in their own time, for making the site what it is today.
[clear]
We would also like to thank all our members for being such a huge part of the site – without you we are nothing and the site is irrelevant. We have always aimed to make FF247 a community site, a fun site as well, of course, and a useful tool for FPL managers. It is your involvement, comments, banter and engagement that ultimately has pushed FF247 into the realms of being nominated for awards such as this.
So we thank you deeply and look forward to a bigger, better, funnier future together!
Finally, we would like to ask that you vote for us in the hope that little old FF247 may just upset some of the more established names that we are up against. Clearly our age will not make it easy for us to win against other sites that have been around for years, but you know us, we’ll give it a go. Every vote counts.
Voting is very straightforward – all you need to is click on the link below, either taking you to the FBA site or through the twitter button.
In case you’re thinking, “I’ve already voted”, then firstly thanks, it’s your votes that have been responsible for us being nominated. But from now, the votes have been reset to zero and we start again.
If you’re on twitter, then this is the most simple method.
Voting via the FBA site link involves about about two minutes more of your time! Just click this link (or the red ‘tweet your vote’ button above), enter your details and under “categories”, click the FPL drop down menu and you will see Fantasy Football 247 appear. Simply highlight us and click “Vote Now” – you will be sent an email which you will need to confirm your vote.
The FF247 team will be attending the event itself and we will be sure to post pics on here and via twitter of what will surely be a fantastic night out regardless of the results! Tickets are on general sale as well so if anyone fancies it please feel free to come but be sure to let us know so that so we can include you in our party!
Thanks again for your time, patience and support!
All at Fantasy Football 247.
My team is starting to shape up nicely but how could I fit Aguero inn?.
You wanna continue playing 2 up front or 3?
I told really know. Can’t seem to fit him in without dropping 2 big names.
If you want him that much than he may be worth dropping 2 big names for, but then again, your team looks mighty without the Kun fella in there. Do you have any money in the bank?
Well something gonna give mate..it’s kun u r after!
I don’t see a way out w/o dropping the biggies
Ant – Tough one this. I suppose it’s either bin Costa or downgrade Ramsey to a cheapie. Would the Ramsey switch even raise enough £ to upgrade Ulloa? Maybe not actualy. Hmm. Di Maria or Hazard maybe, or bin Costa.
Voted!
All the best guys!
Brilliant, thanks ABCDE!
Cheers mate!
yay RMT time
i am definitely dropping iva to chambers…. I do want to remove silva but i also want to get aguero
do yall think zaha has more playing time now cuz he hasn’t been playing in crystal palace that much
I was thinking either getting silva to zaha or diame (BUT HULL HAVE HORRIBLE FIXTURES)
Then finally switch uolla to aguero
what do you guys think
baunsir – Silva -> Di Maria is the move i would make here mate. Selling Ivanovic is a good way to raise funds for that move and also to have something in the kitty for a future move for Aguero.
Voted, good luck gents!
Managed to fit Pelle in now have Pelle, Aguero and Costa up top and currently 2,592 overall with 8 points on the bench to come on and Di María to get me a hat-trick tonight 😉
Happy days, Villain, well played and thanks for the vote!
Good work Villan, i too have 8 coming off the bench and Di Maria to play tonight he’s my capt so a hat-trick would be great!
Hi all, in a huge dilemma so would greatly appreciate your thoughts on where my priorities should lie before I give you my rather complicated plan for the next few GWs:
AT, I don’t see an awful lot wrong there, you have the major bases covered. Moreno would be the first name I’d get rid of.
Cookie – My plan for this GW was to downgrade Moreno to Hutton and use the funds to upgrade Zaha to Barkley. That way, if Costa doesn’t start I will have a strong , five man midfield that I would be happy to put out and if he does start I would simply bench one of them (maybe ADM if I dare!).
The following week I would downgrade Silva to Boyd to avoid the selection dilemma of the top eight and use the funds to upgrade Welbeck/Pelle to Aguero. Thoughts?
AT, I like it mate, nicely thought out – not sure I’d take a hit this week for Barkley though – I guess it depends on Costa how worthwhile that hit is. If he’s defo out then it’s understandable ish.
Cookie – So if Costa is definitely out (thinking worst case scenario), would you say that Zaha would do for a five man cover? Can’t see either Barkley or Zaha changing in price (again anyway) and I hadn’t actually thought about keeping Zaha purely because of playing time. Seems weird somewhat that he isn’t playing as he always makes a difference, take this weekend for example. Not sure he will get the minutes, could always play the good old 4-4-2 for this weekend I guess!
Guzan Myhill
Ivanovic Bertrand Coloccini Duff Moore
Di Maria Fabregas Sterling Siggy Mahrez
Aguero Costa Naismith
no money in the bank and got 1 FT.
guys help please
Nishant – off the top,of my head. This week Colo to Wisdom, next week Naismith to Sakho?
Actually i was thinking Sakho too. thanx mate. You eased it up a bit for me mate.
