Fantasy Football 247 Site Team – Gameweek 2
Welcome to Fantasy Football 247 Site Team – Gameweek 2
First hurdle of 38 cleared. No fallers (injuries), and with the steady, experienced, consistent runners of Johnstone, Shaw, Estupinan, Mbeumo and Watkins jockeying for position, the big favourites – Haaland and Saka – have already broken into their thoroughbred stride.
The Site Team opened up 2023/24 season with 75 points and we’re most content with that. Solid base to build upon, being as it is, 11 points above the average for the week.
Erling Haaland was the obvious captain and those 26 points look neat on paper, but in reality with his ownership, it means you’re running to stand still so looking deeper into the team we must praise Bukayo Saka (10), Bryan Mbeumo (7), Pervis Estupinan (7), Sam Johnstone (6) and Luke Shaw & Ollie Watkins (5 each).
The United double-midfield was disappointing but no panic yet and Odegaard will be just fine.
Our Gameweek 1 Result
Transfers & Team Selection
We have 1 Free Transfer and 0.0mln in the bank.
There are no plans to make any moves this week ahead of the Friday evening deadline. We stand by to react to anything we hear before that time but as it stands, we will remain unchanged.
Captain
It remains Erling Haaland. And will do until further notice probably. Saka is on standby incase needed.
Our Gameweek 2 Team
We look ahead with anticipation to Gameweek 3 with two transfers in our pocket.

Nice and safe, nothing fancy. That’s us!
No red flags to be found. You guys did a nice job of setting up a sensible team to start the year.
Nice team. No Salah, No worry
If you have Haaland and Salah, who would you put the armband on?
I’m leaning towards Salah, he looked good against Chelsea and has the easier fixture on paper, plus Haaland played midweek in the super cup.
I would go Salah.

Thanks GP I did read it.
I’m leaning towards Salah, i hope the early subbing will have fired him up to prove a point
Me too.
Both city and Liverpool could score 3+ goals. Salahs extra point per goal and you’d hope they’ll keep a cs can make all the difference.
Captaining Salah myself.
I have both and will captain Mo, was the plan all along for weeks for me.
Cheers all.
Mo is locked in.
GL to all
Oops – I meant to put it here on the latest article (but put it on the previous one!) Sorry, doubled up guys!
“Hey everyone – seems like Frankie Sinatra’s voice is already ringing through my mind (‘Regrets, I’ve had a few…’), and starting to feel like the Ancient Mariner with the albatross I’ve just killed draped around my neck as a sign of my regretful act! What am I referring to???
Well, I saw last night that I had to trade out Mings before he dropped in price, so I traded him to ….Reece James! This morning’s red flag + 25% chance of playing sent me into a mental spiral!!! How f*****g dumb!!!
Anyway, I suppose the best advice is to hold tight, suck up my shame and just continue, and wait and see how it goes for GW3? Unless of course James looks like dropping in price at any stage!
Let this be a (yet another) lesson to you all! Don’t go too early, but also don’t take your eyes off the ball! Guess I’m gonna have to play Saliba, Chillwell & Estupinan in the backline – oh well, I could do a lot worse!
Bye for now, AJW”
Thought you were smarter than that AJW.
Never mind. Sit tight, see what happens. Nothing confirmed yet.
AJW I flipped a coin on doing stones to James for a -4. It was a smart move at the time looking at Chelseas next fixtures, but just sucks he picked that injury. If it’s not long term he’s perfect again from gw3 to 8.
GAVY
I didn’t in the end GP. Had a mad itchy finger though
Phew.
unlucky mate but at least you have Chilwell. Gutted i missed out on him before the increase. You win some you lose some…
Thanks lads – we’ll see what passes!
Reply to GP – I’m definitely not smarter than that! 😉
Eze or Mitoma? Who do I start and who do I bench?
What’s the rest of the team like?
With that question alone I’d say Mitoma. Brighton are more likely to score more goals in there match.
+1
yeah of the 2 i’d say Mitoma, Brighton always look good for a goal and he’s always in the mix
