Welcome to Fantasy Football 247 Site Team – Gameweek 2

First hurdle of 38 cleared. No fallers (injuries), and with the steady, experienced, consistent runners of Johnstone, Shaw, Estupinan, Mbeumo and Watkins jockeying for position, the big favourites – Haaland and Saka – have already broken into their thoroughbred stride.

The Site Team opened up 2023/24 season with 75 points and we’re most content with that. Solid base to build upon, being as it is, 11 points above the average for the week.

Erling Haaland was the obvious captain and those 26 points look neat on paper, but in reality with his ownership, it means you’re running to stand still so looking deeper into the team we must praise Bukayo Saka (10), Bryan Mbeumo (7), Pervis Estupinan (7), Sam Johnstone (6) and Luke Shaw & Ollie Watkins (5 each).

The United double-midfield was disappointing but no panic yet and Odegaard will be just fine.

There are no plans to make any moves this week ahead of the Friday evening deadline. We stand by to react to anything we hear before that time but as it stands, we will remain unchanged.

It remains Erling Haaland. And will do until further notice probably. Saka is on standby incase needed.

    • Play someone else, Hammers smile ! Baldock’s surely last on your bench?

      • Nope in my first xi
        I have Mubama and Anderson my only playing bench. My other bench player is a Luton defender.

        • Ah I see, an unlucky combination of Luton’s BGW and those Baldock rumours.

        • Yep. May just keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best. Think I would be better having 2ft next week as it will give me better scope and options

    • Díaz seems to be the popular pick with his price rise, although Jota could equally do as well. Bit of a coin toss!

      I’m Liverpool-less this weekend – I’ll be behind the sofa!

      • Díaz would certainly be a tasty differential! If Liverpool score well (which I’m trying not to think about!), he’ll surely be involved.

  5. The plan was to save my ft but i guess that Stones has to go. Who would you replace him with? I’m thinking Ake as i like to keep have a city player in my defence… 5,4 to spend….

    • Do you fancy double Chelsea defence? You could go for Colwill, Gusto (short term pick while James is out), and save a bit of money too.

      • I’m debating the same myself LA. Do we think both are safe bets to start this weekend or would you lean Colwill?

        • Was planning on not getting estupinian but not so sure anymore… Might do that move just to be a part of the group….

        • Colwill probably better in the long term. James wontbe playing and it’s likely it’ll be Gusto to replace him.
