Fantasy Football FF247 Team Game-week 29

Well that went well….NOT! A total score of 28 points in GW28 may seem to some as irony, but to us at FF247 it has completely summed up our season. Rubbish. We couldn’t even beat an average of 35 and thus dropped 86k places to an overall rank of 906,635. Nothing has gone right and frankly none of us will be sad to wave this season farewell. Or piss off.
GW28 in summary – this summary won’t take long, it’s painful to write and painful to read, unless you like a touch of self harm. The highlight of our score was two assists. Yep, that’s it – two assists. No goals scored, no clean sheets kept. The assisters were Payet and Mahrez. Everything else was clearly a complete disaster. Hennessey in goal conceded two at Sunderland, while our defenders Van Dijk, Bellerin and Morgan also conceded two a piece against opponents that they should easily have kept quiet. Ozil did nothing vs Swansea and Ali didn’t even start at West Ham, but did manage 30mins and a single point for us. Our forward line of Kun, Vardy and Kane scored two points each. We benched Wollscheid who naturally kept a clean sheet and then rubbed it in our faces as he proceeded to collect the three bonus points. Brilliant. Let’s move on to what will undoubtedly be another unmitigated disater!

Transfer decision for GW29 – we have sold Hector Bellerin and bought Vincent Kompany
Home to Villa – now what could go wrong?!! Bellerin has gone for now, due to Arsenal likely blanking next week as well as injuries to Cech and Koscielny which certainly makes the Gooner defence as less attractive prospect than it was. We would also expect Spurs to score in this week’s North London derby and with City facing Villa and then Norwich next week we feel we have a chance of an immediate return on our investment on the City skipper. We’ve chosen not to concentrate on the fact they got hammered at Liverpool in midweek. Decent fixtures, no blank next week and a double game-week on the horizon sealed it.

Captain – Sergio Aguero
One of the easier discussions we have had – with Kun home to an awful Villa side, he is by far and away the leading candidate for the armband this week. And even if the unthinkable happens and he blanks we at least won’t lose much ground as the world and his wife and maybe even his dog will be with us.

Our vice-captain is Harry Kane
If Kun doesn’t feature then Kane will step up – he has a decent record vs Arsenal and Spurs will be all out to cause more damage to the Gooner title hopes as well as bolstere their own chances.

Good morning! Hoping to bounce back from a mighty 29 points with AOA played last gw! Any advice please on transfers?

    Got 2ft, thinking of:

    Ward to Otamendi / Williams

    And/or

Payet to Silva / Yaya / Siggy

Is anyone tempted to triple captain Aguero this week? Looking at the potential double game weeks in 34 and 37, City have Chelsea (a) and Arsenal (h) in those two weeks. So it could be tempting to play it this week at home to Villa. City lost the last two at home so will want to put in a good performance. Someone talk me out of it?

Sounds like a plan to me, I have the feeling that everyone is saving these for DGW’s but in reality if he got a hatti this week, it would almost certainly net a greater score then a DGW. And this is the kind of game where he can def get a hatti
And besides, depending what chips you have left. You can only play one each week, so might not be able to use them all anyway, depending on how many DGW’s there are.

Have the TC and Bench Boost chips plus wildcard left. I was planning to play one chip on each DGW and load up on DGW players with the wildcard beforehand. I guess the TC does not need to be used on Aguero and there could be other players with better fixtures in the DGW’s but I just think that the TC is better used on someone explosive. Aguero is the number 1 explosive candidate so with this weeks fixture I am very tempted!

      Rbin – I’m well tempted

the risk I guess is he blanks whereas in a DGW, he has 2 chances to not blank. Then again, City needing a win, at home, to Villa, cant see how he blanks.

morning guys. Have 1ft left having already done Bellerin to Kompany.

I have Sanchez (and Ozil but keeping Ozil). My other mids are Payet and Mahrez.

I could go Siggy, Winj (seen Cookie went this way which is interesting as if Newcastle get out of it then he will be involved and fixtures good), Toure, Silva, Alli or Eriksen. Any recommendations?

Current team attached, still got my FT. Thinking Cresswell out for Kompany, what do you reckon?

Or would you go Kosc? I suppose he’s likely to have a blank in 30 aswell but decent fixtures after that.

    Thanks.
