Fantasy Football FF247 Team Gameweek 26

Fantasy football tips hintsLast time out brought us some midweek fixtures and a headache with it. As we saw our team drop 513 spots into 1767th spot in the overall rankings. However we are thankful as our score of 46 was 6 above the average of 40, so the blow could have been a lot worse. After a bout with trichotillomania during the GW, nothing like running a quick review of how our hair is all but gone now. So onto the GW that was before we discuss what our plans are for GW26.

In goal we returned the Colombian David Ospina. Unfortunately what seemed an easy clean sheet vanished into the middle of thin air. As Arsenal surrendered a goal to lowly Leicester. Our back 3 was formed by Jones, Terry and PvA. Jones did really well in the 4 minutes he was out there. Better than that, he left the pitch and watched his replacement score a goal within seconds of entering. To compound matters Smalling added another later on for the brace, all at the expense of our Jonesy. Another one who looked destined to produce was PvA. How hard can it be really? QPR was coming in for a visit and they only managed 6 goals in 11 games (when playing away) on top of being without Charlie Austin. So again, how hard can it be? Well two goals against and one point later we found our answer. Moving along to our fourth sure bet for a clean sheet John Terry. Yes! We finally found one with Pikey and the CFC defence. When you are having a bad day, usually a Chelsea defender at Stamford Bridge can alleviate the pain a little.

Usually when we are struggling to keep clean sheets or score goals, we can always count on the consistency of our mids. One glance through their point totals makes us think that they are really connected as a team. Looking better than a synchronized swimming team they managed to score 2,2,2 and 3. So 0 goals and 0 assists was not ideal for our high priced midfield attack. On top of that we had our captain Sanchez in that crowd, so all in all it was about as disappointing as it could get. So after that cringe worthy display, let’s move on to our friends the forwards.

The front line really delivered for us. Harry Kane once again came good and considering his price tag, he is better than a friend with benefits. While Sergio Aguero despite being about the double the price of Kane can also do the business when he is on. As he matched Harry with 11 points and signaled to all that he is back. The only disappointment was our fossil Jermain Defoe. As the dinosaur was unable to deliver on the apparent easy fixture. Well we can’t win them all…as the rest of our team showed.

Having recapped how our squad performed last GW, let us now move along to our transfer decision and line-up for the upcoming week.

Transfer for GW26 None!
So to confirm our transfer decision we have – sat still. We had injury concerns over Jones and Defoe but we felt that the squad was sufficient to cope should either not make it and we actually think Defoe might just do so. The overall feeling was that the free transfer carried over, ahead of a blank game-week for some teams followed by a double game-week for others, would be a valuable one and provide us with more options for those.

Our team in full…

Fantasy football tips hints

Captain

Our captain this week is Sergio Aguero
We feel that a home game for City on the back of Aguero showing some fine form last time out is just too hard to ignore. Newcastle have a woeful record against City and so we hope this continues and Kun takes full advantage!

Our vice-captain is Harry Kane

The team in text format is –
Ospina
Jones van Aanholt Terry
Sanchez Johnson Hazard Cazorla
Kane (vc) Aguero (c) Defoe
Subs – Foster Puncheon Clyne Baird

Anything worth changing with 0FT and 1,0m in the bank? Not too keen on hitting given I will have to take one next week..
    Is this my strongest 11?

Gents would you start Hutton (H) vs. Stoke or Bruce (A) vs. QPR?

By the way. I already have Pantsu. SHould I play Naughton ahead of PvA or play 2 Sun in the back?

      • NIN says:

Morning Raz. Bleh, that’s an iffy call. I’d go van Aanholt and hope for the best.

        • Raziel says:

Nevermind NiN. Lost track of time, haha. Think Naughton and PvA both have assist potential. We’ll see what happens. Shrugs. Can’t change anything now.

        • NIN says:

Oh well. Which one do you have in your team, and what’s this crazy move? I’m intrigued….

        • Magichatmatt says:

What did you do that was crazy?

        • Raziel says:

          Replaced Azpi with Baines.

        • NIN says:

Ballsy! I hope it goes well for you Raz. It should do, vs Leicester.

        • Raziel says:

Baines still a season keeper for me. And now Everton look tighter at the back it can only get better. I hope. smile

Anyway, what I like most about him even if they don’t keep a CS he will get you your points.

        • James101 says:

Last year, baines and coleman were gold for me.

I’ve avoided them Most of this season.

Quality players but I’ve not liked their reliability.

        • Raziel says:

Baines actually had a poor season and still managed to get 100 points. Just think what will happen when he is on fire. On that note, they will get much better fixtures from now till GW38. They just have Arsenal/United/Spurs left. And in all honesty, I can see Baines get points even in those games. I mean, he already got an assist against City/United and Chelsea.

        • Raziel says:

I could’ve also gotten Coleman for Wisdom. However, long term I prefer Baines over Coleman.

        • James101 says:

          He is quality.

I need to swap terry or Ivan for somebody for a week or two.

          Baines is on my list.

        • Raziel says:

Just noticed Costa is at 48 percent. Looks set to rise. Wonder if people shipping him in now notice he doesn’t play next GW. HAHA. Can’t wait for the red flag, hope he doesn’t rise tonight.

        • James101 says:

          Costa rose last night right?

        • Raziel says:

He did. Was 10.9 yesterday, 11m now. He could be 11.1m tomorrow. That would be crazy though. Anyway, he is still massively rising at the moment. 10 percent per hour. People are crazy. smile

Wonder what will happen once he’s red flagged again. Wish I could see the faces of those people that shipped him in today after the deadline only to notice he ain’t playing next GW. HAHAHA.

      Magichatmatt says:

      I like that move Raz

      • Raziel says:

Felt like I needed to make that move. One, I was gonna get rid of Azpi next GW regardless. I also feared he might be rotated for todays game, wasn’t sure though. I think he played Wednesday and made a fatal error versus PSG. He didn’t look good.

ANd Baines, well he’s a season keeper. He’s cap and he will always play.
