Fantasy Football FF247 Team Gameweek 26
Last time out brought us some midweek fixtures and a headache with it. As we saw our team drop 513 spots into 1767th spot in the overall rankings. However we are thankful as our score of 46 was 6 above the average of 40, so the blow could have been a lot worse. After a bout with trichotillomania during the GW, nothing like running a quick review of how our hair is all but gone now. So onto the GW that was before we discuss what our plans are for GW26.
In goal we returned the Colombian David Ospina. Unfortunately what seemed an easy clean sheet vanished into the middle of thin air. As Arsenal surrendered a goal to lowly Leicester. Our back 3 was formed by Jones, Terry and PvA. Jones did really well in the 4 minutes he was out there. Better than that, he left the pitch and watched his replacement score a goal within seconds of entering. To compound matters Smalling added another later on for the brace, all at the expense of our Jonesy. Another one who looked destined to produce was PvA. How hard can it be really? QPR was coming in for a visit and they only managed 6 goals in 11 games (when playing away) on top of being without Charlie Austin. So again, how hard can it be? Well two goals against and one point later we found our answer. Moving along to our fourth sure bet for a clean sheet John Terry. Yes! We finally found one with Pikey and the CFC defence. When you are having a bad day, usually a Chelsea defender at Stamford Bridge can alleviate the pain a little.
Usually when we are struggling to keep clean sheets or score goals, we can always count on the consistency of our mids. One glance through their point totals makes us think that they are really connected as a team. Looking better than a synchronized swimming team they managed to score 2,2,2 and 3. So 0 goals and 0 assists was not ideal for our high priced midfield attack. On top of that we had our captain Sanchez in that crowd, so all in all it was about as disappointing as it could get. So after that cringe worthy display, let’s move on to our friends the forwards.
The front line really delivered for us. Harry Kane once again came good and considering his price tag, he is better than a friend with benefits. While Sergio Aguero despite being about the double the price of Kane can also do the business when he is on. As he matched Harry with 11 points and signaled to all that he is back. The only disappointment was our fossil Jermain Defoe. As the dinosaur was unable to deliver on the apparent easy fixture. Well we can’t win them all…as the rest of our team showed.
Having recapped how our squad performed last GW, let us now move along to our transfer decision and line-up for the upcoming week.
Transfer for GW26 None!
So to confirm our transfer decision we have – sat still. We had injury concerns over Jones and Defoe but we felt that the squad was sufficient to cope should either not make it and we actually think Defoe might just do so. The overall feeling was that the free transfer carried over, ahead of a blank game-week for some teams followed by a double game-week for others, would be a valuable one and provide us with more options for those.

We feel that a home game for City on the back of Aguero showing some fine form last time out is just too hard to ignore. Newcastle have a woeful record against City and so we hope this continues and Kun takes full advantage!

I’m between Hazard and Aguero. Was Hazard considered for captaincy? If so, why dismissed?
Everyone just went Kun straight off GP. Haz is a great option and I’d have preferred him as VC in all honesty but couldn’t be bothered with the argument for the sake of a VC that won’t matter. Hopefully!

Fair enough mate. I think I’ll plump for Aguero too. Like I mentioned to Cookie earlier in the week, I may be tempted to just leave the armband on him for the season and see how that treats me.
4 point hit to get Costa for this GW and bench him the next. I will also have to do Kompany to Bruce.

Hello mate. I wouldn’t do either of the 2 ft’s you mentioned as both have a blank next week. Plus I wouldn’t get rid of Hazard anyway. I would look toward either holding ft or sorting Wisdom and possibly Wasil ready for next week

Best forward to replace Pelle? I have Kun and Kane plus Sanchez and Caz (he will go to Ericsson in two weeks) so is Giroud a good idea?

GP, how are you pal? Are you all set? Im now thinking one of these; Pelle to Bony or Sanchez and Pelle to Yaya and Giroud. Do you like either of them, I’m kinda edging to Bony?

I think the Bony move could be a cracking little one. I expect him to do well even off the bench if that is the way City plan to use him from time to time.

GP, yes I do. Im kind of edging towards holding my transfer now (call me decisive!), B-Bash thinks Bony may not be match fit.

I’m not sure. You could hold a week I guess. Might be sensible to take a watching brief for this week.
Currently sitting on 2 FT’s and 2.2m in the bank so wouldn’t mind using a transfer instead of throwing it away. Long term plan is to shuffle in Kane and maybe Eriksen/Rose for Spurs double GW and sack RVP at some point maybe after Sunderland next week. So for now possibly Walcott to Yaya, Defoe to Bony, Azpi to Baines???
