Fantasy Football FF247 Team Gameweek 26
Last time out brought us some midweek fixtures and a headache with it. As we saw our team drop 513 spots into 1767th spot in the overall rankings. However we are thankful as our score of 46 was 6 above the average of 40, so the blow could have been a lot worse. After a bout with trichotillomania during the GW, nothing like running a quick review of how our hair is all but gone now. So onto the GW that was before we discuss what our plans are for GW26.
In goal we returned the Colombian David Ospina. Unfortunately what seemed an easy clean sheet vanished into the middle of thin air. As Arsenal surrendered a goal to lowly Leicester. Our back 3 was formed by Jones, Terry and PvA. Jones did really well in the 4 minutes he was out there. Better than that, he left the pitch and watched his replacement score a goal within seconds of entering. To compound matters Smalling added another later on for the brace, all at the expense of our Jonesy. Another one who looked destined to produce was PvA. How hard can it be really? QPR was coming in for a visit and they only managed 6 goals in 11 games (when playing away) on top of being without Charlie Austin. So again, how hard can it be? Well two goals against and one point later we found our answer. Moving along to our fourth sure bet for a clean sheet John Terry. Yes! We finally found one with Pikey and the CFC defence. When you are having a bad day, usually a Chelsea defender at Stamford Bridge can alleviate the pain a little.
Usually when we are struggling to keep clean sheets or score goals, we can always count on the consistency of our mids. One glance through their point totals makes us think that they are really connected as a team. Looking better than a synchronized swimming team they managed to score 2,2,2 and 3. So 0 goals and 0 assists was not ideal for our high priced midfield attack. On top of that we had our captain Sanchez in that crowd, so all in all it was about as disappointing as it could get. So after that cringe worthy display, let’s move on to our friends the forwards.
The front line really delivered for us. Harry Kane once again came good and considering his price tag, he is better than a friend with benefits. While Sergio Aguero despite being about the double the price of Kane can also do the business when he is on. As he matched Harry with 11 points and signaled to all that he is back. The only disappointment was our fossil Jermain Defoe. As the dinosaur was unable to deliver on the apparent easy fixture. Well we can’t win them all…as the rest of our team showed.
Having recapped how our squad performed last GW, let us now move along to our transfer decision and line-up for the upcoming week.
Transfer for GW26 None!
So to confirm our transfer decision we have – sat still. We had injury concerns over Jones and Defoe but we felt that the squad was sufficient to cope should either not make it and we actually think Defoe might just do so. The overall feeling was that the free transfer carried over, ahead of a blank game-week for some teams followed by a double game-week for others, would be a valuable one and provide us with more options for those.
Our team in full…
Captain
Our captain this week is Sergio Aguero
We feel that a home game for City on the back of Aguero showing some fine form last time out is just too hard to ignore. Newcastle have a woeful record against City and so we hope this continues and Kun takes full advantage!
Our vice-captain is Harry Kane
The team in text format is –
Ospina
Jones van Aanholt Terry
Sanchez Johnson Hazard Cazorla
Kane (vc) Aguero (c) Defoe
Subs – Foster Puncheon Clyne Baird

Anyone think the following are good moves;
ADM to silva
Or
Cazorla to Ozil (I have wally and sanchez)
Or
Wisdom to lescott/wollescheild
Who would start out of foster or pantilmon ?
prob the last one and to wolle
Pantilimon – at home and a shot stopper
Any advice on my team or possible transfers?
1FT and 3.6 in the bank.
My team
You’d be as well sticking with that I think KP. Save that FT to sort out getting a starting 11 next week.
As far as I can see it is 90% same as the 247 Team – so why not follow whatb they say.
Help needed please !! My team-
froster (hamer)
mertesacker-clichy-jones(hutton-baird)
cazorla-oscar-diMaria-downing (boyd)
Giroud-Kane-Aguero
2 FT with 3.7 mil ITB,
1.which transfers are suggested.
2. captain choice
3. any change in starting lineup
Thank you in advance
1 u hve 2ft so u have to do a trsfr, i thnk ur team is good i wld do baird>bruce or else.. or caz>sanchez
2 kun for sure mate!!!
3 no ur team is good..
Lampard
You only have to bench 2 next week which you have cover for in Boyd and Hutton. I would only use 1ft but with the money you could upgrade
Giroud to Costa (still have 2ft’s next week to sort, despite Costa blank)
Oscar to YYT ( Then only Kane to bench and still 2ft’s)
Cazorla to Ozil/Sanchez
Maybe?
rmt plz
foster
azpi clichy van anhold
sanchez oscar dimaria downing
aguero(c) kane(vc) giroud
bench:myhill baird boyd yun
2FT 3£in bank
i have to do a trsfr so i was thnkng of baird>bruce and perhaps oscar>fabregas?
any advices plz?
nauj you may as well go ahead and do the first but I certainly wouldn’t be doing the second all things considered.
ok thnks i made the first and i saw tht oscar didnt strt vs psg so i thnk he will play today,so im not going to do the secnd.. thnks for ur advices!;)
Ospina, Foster
Terry, Clichy, Jones, Baird, Wasilewski
Hazard, Sanchez, Eriksen, Puncheon, Cork
Kun, Kane, Giroud
2 FTs 0.2 ITB
I’m thinking either holding Clichy and hoping and relaxing Wasi with Alex Bruce.
Or replacing Puncheon with someone.
Both of these two save an FT for blank/DGW.
Or what, thoughts?
baird>bruce sound good! i thnk tht clichy will play,he is the n°1 at the moment for city, he plays more than kolarov. And city has no choice they have to win games, so clichy will play i thnk.
Forster or Krul this week? Only relying on save points this week, saving my ft. And best captain out of aguero, Kane, silva, hazard, giroud, cazorla?
Fish I would go with Forster
Captain is difficult this week! Aguero!
Liverpool are creating a lot more chances now but City will be hungry for the win. I would toss a coin mate but I would slightly put Forster ahead.
