Fantasy Football FF247 Team Gameweek 26
Last time out brought us some midweek fixtures and a headache with it. As we saw our team drop 513 spots into 1767th spot in the overall rankings. However we are thankful as our score of 46 was 6 above the average of 40, so the blow could have been a lot worse. After a bout with trichotillomania during the GW, nothing like running a quick review of how our hair is all but gone now. So onto the GW that was before we discuss what our plans are for GW26.
In goal we returned the Colombian David Ospina. Unfortunately what seemed an easy clean sheet vanished into the middle of thin air. As Arsenal surrendered a goal to lowly Leicester. Our back 3 was formed by Jones, Terry and PvA. Jones did really well in the 4 minutes he was out there. Better than that, he left the pitch and watched his replacement score a goal within seconds of entering. To compound matters Smalling added another later on for the brace, all at the expense of our Jonesy. Another one who looked destined to produce was PvA. How hard can it be really? QPR was coming in for a visit and they only managed 6 goals in 11 games (when playing away) on top of being without Charlie Austin. So again, how hard can it be? Well two goals against and one point later we found our answer. Moving along to our fourth sure bet for a clean sheet John Terry. Yes! We finally found one with Pikey and the CFC defence. When you are having a bad day, usually a Chelsea defender at Stamford Bridge can alleviate the pain a little.
Usually when we are struggling to keep clean sheets or score goals, we can always count on the consistency of our mids. One glance through their point totals makes us think that they are really connected as a team. Looking better than a synchronized swimming team they managed to score 2,2,2 and 3. So 0 goals and 0 assists was not ideal for our high priced midfield attack. On top of that we had our captain Sanchez in that crowd, so all in all it was about as disappointing as it could get. So after that cringe worthy display, let’s move on to our friends the forwards.
The front line really delivered for us. Harry Kane once again came good and considering his price tag, he is better than a friend with benefits. While Sergio Aguero despite being about the double the price of Kane can also do the business when he is on. As he matched Harry with 11 points and signaled to all that he is back. The only disappointment was our fossil Jermain Defoe. As the dinosaur was unable to deliver on the apparent easy fixture. Well we can’t win them all…as the rest of our team showed.
Having recapped how our squad performed last GW, let us now move along to our transfer decision and line-up for the upcoming week.
Transfer for GW26 None!
So to confirm our transfer decision we have – sat still. We had injury concerns over Jones and Defoe but we felt that the squad was sufficient to cope should either not make it and we actually think Defoe might just do so. The overall feeling was that the free transfer carried over, ahead of a blank game-week for some teams followed by a double game-week for others, would be a valuable one and provide us with more options for those.
Our team in full…
Captain
Our captain this week is Sergio Aguero
We feel that a home game for City on the back of Aguero showing some fine form last time out is just too hard to ignore. Newcastle have a woeful record against City and so we hope this continues and Kun takes full advantage!
Our vice-captain is Harry Kane
The team in text format is –
Ospina
Jones van Aanholt Terry
Sanchez Johnson Hazard Cazorla
Kane (vc) Aguero (c) Defoe
Subs – Foster Puncheon Clyne Baird

Am I set for the GW?
Cheers
Shotts
Anyone free?
Hey guys, have 1 FT but only 0.1 itb. Should I keep the FT until next week so I’d have two? I feel my two weak spots at the moment are Downing and Pelle, But I don’t know how to go about fixing it. Team is
Ospina (Heaton)
Terry, Van Aanholt, Jones (Baird, Bertrand)
Alexis, Hazard, Eriksen, Downing (Colback)
Aguero, Kane, Pelle
Would appreciate anyone’s advice or opinions, Thanks
If you can mate try and save for the blank GW. Better idea then of who to bring in..
Elchico
You have 4 with a blank gw next week, so I would stick mate.
Okay thanks guys
Team for GW26
Good to go?
Should rack up some good save points this GW Mitro.
In a bit of a dilemma. Hers my team, injuries are mounting but they are all 75% chance to play by that rule 2 should play at least. 4.4 in the bank Question, which would you do;
a) Walcott to Sanchez (feel like Sanchez is a must have a Walcott not starting every game even though when he has he’s scored.
b) save FT for next week to position better for the DGW
c) transfer an injured player out
d) another suggestion
Thanks
First move should be is to play Panti for the Save points?
Villa have a good defensive home record so Guzan is my man this week.
Need some advice guys. 28 points behind my rival after being 20 points ahead! Got a fair few injuries, too.
Team is:
Foster, Hamer
Alderweireld, Dummet, van Aanholt, Wisdom, Bellerin
Silva,Hazard,Sanchez, Boyd,Sterling
Aguero, Defoe, Kane.
Have £2.3m in the bank.
Any ft’s?
Yeah got the one FT. Was thinking of getting a cheapo defender to replace Dummett/Wisdom as one’s injured and the other one is out of favour. Was thinking of getting in Yun from QPR (£3.9m),
Is Bruce still 3.9? I think Upson might be that price too?
You think Bruce/Upson is the better bet? I was looking at the QPR defence and I think they only have four fit defenders, so was thinking Yun is bound to play. Having said that, not sure if they’re better at keeping clean sheets than Hull and Leicester!
Who is everyone capping? Between Hazard, kane, Aguero and maybe even Sanchez!
