Fantasy Football FF247 Team Gameweek 34

fantasy football tips hints strikerAnother small climb in the overall has put us a bit closer to being inside the top 2k. After climbing another 335 spots we now sit in 2216. A spot that we are very happy with, but we have dreams of a higher finish. So this is no time to unbutton our pants and play around. There is no room for complacency in the final stretch and with doubles on the horizon we hope we can take full advantage. But as always, before we tell you of our plans for the upcoming gameweek, let us quickly review our performance in GW33.

Finally Pulis, finally! Myhill in goal came through for us with a very solid 8 points. Our faith is now restored, well sort of, once you check the Baggies schedule over the last 5 games one might feel it is time to cut and run. Moving along to our back line we see that fan favourite John Terry was able to secure his second clean sheet in a row. What a great guy he is. In the rest of our defence we decided to play our double Saints defenders. We hoped that they work in unison and bagged us badly needed points. Well we can’t accuse them of not working in unison. They both scored 0 points after giving up 2 goals and both receiving yellow. Nice work boys!

In our 5 man midfield we had a bit of hit and miss. Hazard once again delivered a big haul and bagged us 11 points. Owning and playing him is just common sense and to show that is something we won’t put up with, we also played Jason Puncheon. We thought he would at least deliver a number 2, but I guess he has better control now and simply took the piss. Our new signing Cesc brought the pain and by pain, I mean to us. Nothing of note from him with a very average 3 points. Yet that was still better than Silva who was unable to score a cheeky total and instead was handed a yellow and a trip to the doctor. In our last spot, we had Eriksen. After showing the Viking a lot of patience over the last couple of weeks, he came through with a goal and 2 bonus points for a nice score of 9.

Up top we only fielded 2 strikers as we had to make room for the Jason Puncheon show as previously mentioned. Perhaps it was because Austin had a blank, but why ruin a good story. We went with English saviour Harry Kane and of course our mighty mouse Kun Aguero. Ol’ Arry was able to grab a goal and continues to build up the hopes of English fans who will undoubtedly be left in state of shock when England play like their cricket team in Euro 2016. Our “El Capitan” Aguero was able to do a little something and scored 12 points when doubled. Perhaps not the amount we hoped for, but better than Jason Puncheon.

Transfer(s) for GW34 – Sold Alderweireld, Silva and Eriken and bought Moreno, Henderson and Sterling

As suggested last week we have gone full on Scouse for the DGW and have taken a hit to do so. It was an “interesting” meeting as we thought it may be. Selling Silva is clearly the most controversial move, but was necessary to facilitate our future plans post DGW into getting the Arsenal players we have targeted. This also meant we had to get Henderson instead of the more preferred Coutinho, but c’est la vie, Hendo has done ok this season for someone who can’t run. Sterling was a no-brainer for us as we figure he should get forward plenty in the DGW and also vs QPR in GW35. Moreno comes in as Liverpool have looked solid at the back versus the “lesser” teams – in the league that is, not the FA Cup.

Our team in full…

fantasy football tips hints striker

Once more our team has basically picked itself! The question was asked as to whether we should play Myhill as Liverpool haven’t been in great form, but having brought Sterling & Henderson in this week we’re hoping that they’ll knock a few past Myhill. They’d bloody better! So Ospina it is. We also considered benching Clyne, but given Southampton’s defensive form at home we decided against it. The only other question was Puncheon or Kane. Even though Spurs travel to Southampton we’ve gone with Kane as we’ve learned over the course of the season, never bench Kane. So we’ll have our fingers crossed for either a Saints clean sheet or a Kane goal.

Captain

Our captain this week is Eden Hazard
Little explanation needed really. There were the odd votes for Sterling but we’ve gone ‘safe’ as Chelsea look to close out the inevitable title and if they do so you can bet Hazard will be involved.

Our vice-captain is Raheem Sterling

The team in text format is –

Ospina
Terry Clyne Moreno
Henderson Hazard (c) Sterling (v) Fabregas
Austin Kane Aguero

Subs: Myhill Puncheon van Aanholt Baird

Hello all: This is my current draft league team:

    Begovich
    Schlupp Bellerin Lovren
    Cazorla Fellaini Fabregas Sigurdsson Puncheon
    Pelle Rooney
    Bench: Ospina Jagielka Alderwiereld Nugent

    Should I pick up Ulloa?
If so, which midfielder should I bench?

Thanks and have a great week.

Advice please. Should I go for this team?

    1. Same team as shown with -8 hit.
    2. Silva to Fabregas and no Moreno. Still -8 hit.
    3. No Vardy (Murray instead) and Silva to Henderson or Coutinho. Still -8 hit.
    4. Something else.

Not planning to play Herrera this week btw. Thanks!

Quite confusing plans you have there. I’d rather see the team you have now so I can play around with my thoughts than the way you’ve given it now. Bloody L, too much snot in my brain dude. I only see green. Anyway. Silva is fit so I’m def. keeping him. Show me the team you got without transfers, the one you got now.

      • MayAr says:

I wouldn’t be here if I wasn’t confused myself haha

Here’s my current team with no transfers. 0.7ITB.

        • Raziel says:

Holy crap, your defence is in a pickle. Rose to Moreno, Mata to Henderson and Jags to Terry?

I really wouldn’t look at Murray whom has a freaking super home fixture or Silva (the same).

        • Raziel says:

Just been said that Silva is fit to play the game. Home versus Villa or Mata away versus Everton. I love Mata but I think he got subbed after 60 somewhat minutes last game? Having said that, I don’t like to let go of him or Silva for that matter. Hating it. >.<

        • niko says:

Agree, leave murray on, leave Krul on.

          Rose to Moreno
          Jagielka to Chelsea defender
          Herrera to Hendo

        • MayAr says:

If I do Herrera to Henderson then bench Mata? That’s the only option in the 3-4-3 right.

        • Raziel says:

Ouch, so f-ing wasteful to bench Mata. My ears are bleeding. Love the guy to bits. >.<

Think Mata and Silva are my 2 fav players in this league.

        • niko says:

Bench Kane smile He isn’t gonna get too many past the Soton defence.

        • Raziel says:

What Niko said by the way, that’s the way I’m going. This is my current team and I’m considering to do Mata to Hendo/Coutinho and Toby to Moreno later tonight.

        • Raziel says:

          @ Niko
Kane is on penalty duty and always plays 90 minutes. Same can’t be said about Mata. Benching him will be brave and in my eyes unwise. HAHA. :p

        • niko says:

Looks good now. Sterling or Hazard for captain?

Mata v Kane haha, good luck, whoever you choose.

        • Raziel says:

Me? Haz as cap though Sterling is a bit on my mind, has easier fixtures. On that note, is WBA an easy fixture? >.< Haz is on penalty duty as well. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. SHITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      niko says:

Stick with Krul instead of Mignolet. Newcastle have decent fixtures. Not the best of defence, but he might at least get some save points.
      That makes it -4.

If you are ok with a -8 then swap out herrera for henderson.

      • Raziel says:

Aaah yes, I told him to remove Mata but Hererra is a better point. Will it free up enough cash to get Terry though?

        • MayAr says:

Nope I’ll have 6.2 left if I sell Herrera. A bit more if I sell Mata.

        • MayAr says:

I can get Azpi if I sell Herrera to Henderson with 0.3 ITB. Benching Kane sounds better than benching Mata. Team would be this.

        • Raziel says:

A Chelsea defender looks like a must, I got 2 myself. WHich you could borrow one so I could buy Fabs, hahaha. Anyway, not taking a hit to take a Chelsea defender out, hoping for the best a cs and maybe an odd goal.

        • Raziel says:

Remember Soton conceded 2 goals versus Stoke (not the best team in my opinion). Anyway. With 2 games so close to each other I fear Mourinho will rotate Azpi and Luis, he’s never done that with Terry Iva. Anyway, choice is always yours mate. But do keep in mind certain players won’t start every game.

This is my team for the DGW. WC in hand to balance things out later. Looks ok? Thoughts?

    • 47.1
      Raziel says:

Only 2 Chelsea? If I was on WC I’d def get 3. ANyway. Team looks fine, I guess. What are you plans for GW37? Is there a way you can move in Sanchez/Ospina/Giroud/Kos?

      • niko says:

Yeah, I have a WC still available. I plan on using it right after this GW.

Cant think of a 3rd sure shot Chelsea player, so didnt wanna force fit something I wasnt convinced about. Fab comes closest.

GW 37 should be Ozil, Ospina and Giroud. Unless I can figure our a way to make room for Sanchez.

        • Raziel says:

Sanchez has been quiet for 10 GW and now he’s suddenly back. I really don’t like Ozil but he might be a good option and he’s +2m cheaper.
