Yeah hopefully, though it worried me when Mata came in – as Rooney just dropped deeper and deeper and Mata just sat in the 6-yard box! Was very strange.

Cheers Cookie! I know! Rooney’s position is so unstable depending on who he plays with. He is our talisman and wherever on the pitch we really need him. Even though it may be bad FPL wise! 😉

Been a long season eh?!! Hopefully we see an improvement next season – I fully expected us to not win this season, but to not compete is unacceptable.
Agreed! Very long and weird season it has been! This summer will become even more interesting, forget the World Cup we have a team to build!! Already can’t wait for next season to begin!

Have 2.0M spare. Already transferred Gerrard out for yaya. So was wondering if I should get rid of Fonte for Zabaleta and take a hit (-4)?
Or get ride of Coleman (who is playing city this coming week) for Ferdinand, and also get rid of Lukaku for Rooney and take a hit (-8)?
Or are there any other alternatives?

Niloh, I think an 8pt hit to get some DGWers in this week will be a common strategy, hence I wouldn’t advise against it – just make sure you bring in DGWers! Not Clyne.
Thanks for your response cookie. I agree but the thing is Ferdinand is not guaranteed to start or play both games. With Giggs in charge, its highly possible that he mixes the team up for both games. So wouldn’t it be a safer play to get Clyne, since Southhampton has a solid d and has decent fixtures left?
Niloh, trying to second guess what Giggs will do is nigh-on impossible, so how about Alonso of Sunderland. I would get Rooney for Lukaku also.
Morning niloh. You should get rid of Lukaku for Rooney. But if Rooney doesnt score and Lukaku gets more points than him, you should keep Lukaku.

The other best striker for the DGW may very well be Wellbeck or Dzeko? Can’t really see Jelavic or Long on my team even if they have DGW. I do not know what is going on with Negredo but Pelle favours Dzeko at the moment…

Mmm, its a true art I havent mastered yet. Although my powers are extending to the Mrs. After a day at the races On arrival might I add, she told me we shouldve booked it for another weekend as there was a local show on! If I could fly Kung fu, I would be in the Maldives about now!

Not sure yet Shadow – I currently have Rooney, Suarez & Aguero. If I do anything, I may take a punt on Wickham for Suarez, but will wait and see what happens with Arsenal tonight and Chelsea in CL before deciding anything.
Yep I was very close in making probably panic transfers last night as prices were going up but thought I best see what happens tonight at the very least.

Welll I took the plunge last night to get Yaya and Mata in which cost me 8 points. It’s left my defence very weak…
Smalling, Chester, Sagna, Shaw and Baker but my attacking 7 are now Yaya, Mata, Ramsey, Sterling, Aguero, Rooney and Suarez. It leaves me 55 points ahead in my mini league still so hopefully it will see me through these 2 gameweeks. I am nervous though.
Anybody else make early moves?
I made early moves last week to grab yaya, rooney(c) and amalftano…i took an 8 pt hit but it worked out pretty good
So Who is everyone going to Captain for the DGW Rooney,Mata,Yaya or Aguero ?

I’d bring in down to a penalty taker. So either Rooney or Yaya for me. Probably Rooney with the two home matches.
Yaya is only on pens when Aguero is out I think.
