I used my FT already to bring in Mata, my team now looks like this:
Mannone, Marshall
Baines, ivanovic, ward, Davies, Fonte
YYT, mata, Ramsey, eriksen, Delph
Aguero, Suarez, Rooney
Considering changing Baines for a Man U or city defender – any thoughts?
Also would you play or bench Delph?
I was considering the same change serendipity; evra or zabaleta. I have found any evidence to suggest evra will play both games for the full 90 but would be a differential. zabaleta have on paper a more difficult double gameweek but man city are playing for the title and goal difference so defensive discipline would seem a logical step especially after man city witnessed chelsea’s ‘how to defend’ seminar, and plus man city are at home and face west ham whereas man utd are away and face southampton. What are your thoughts?

Evra & zab were the 2 I was considering but the Giggs unknown concerns me. I think I am leaning towards zab, but I have a few days to think about it

Firstly, great overall ranking!
I would go for a City defender over a Utd one i think. Now they have the league back as a realistic target i imagine they’ll focus more on keeping it tight at the back and play less open. Man Utd will probably win both their games but i can’t see their next opponents being as bad a Norwich, and Giggsy is all about his attacking play which i think means the fullbacks particularly might leave some gaps at the back which could mean leaked goals.
Re. Delph – Stick him on the bench. – I can’t see him out scoring any of the other front 7.

I think I will probably do Baines to zabaleta but I will think it through some more before I take the hit.
I currently have Delph on the bench but when you see a player with a double it’s tempting to put him on the pitch.

Given up on Ultimate. Got off to a great start but then missed one of the Sat/Sun deadlines and lost a lot of ground. The biggest challenge with that game seems to be making sure you’re free Saturday evening to make the substitutions! Forgot again this weekend. Oh well. There’s always next year..
I know what you mean re. Double delph. However, as we saw in the monster Gwk31, there were plenty players playing once that outscored a lot of the cheap double players. I’d go quality player for one week over an average double player with soso fixtures i think. Tough call though. Made harder in your case by having no other obvious front 8 player to drop.
I’m sure you’re make the right call. (Or toss a coin).
Anyone getting united defensive coverage in? I am contemplating Speroni -> DDG as he seems to be the cheapest nailed option, but also considering gambling on Vlaar -> Ferdinand in the hope he won’t get injured and keeps his place

I’m happy to lose Coleman for a defender but i’m not sure if to go for City or ManU (see 173)

So i’m thinking of taking a 4pt hit to boost my double GWers,
Gerrard > Mata and Coleman > Zab
I think either way i’m getting Mata. I’m toying with the idea of getting Rio in def as Manu have 2 winnable home games.

2 good looking moves photek. I’d have been getting in Smalling if he’d have gotten minutes last game but am now looking at Coleman –> Jones.
Jones was on my radar too, shame he didn’t feature. Or Evans for that matter.
Hey guys, thinking about DGW options and I’d like to get rid of Coleman and Nolan for 2 DGW players.
However the ‘Giggs unknown’ as serendipity called it above worries me a bit. Will Ferdinand keep his place? Is Kagawa nailed to start the next 2 games? Here’s what I’m thinking about so far to replace Coleman and Nolan with 13.9 to spend.
Zabaleta & Kagawa
Vergini or any 4.2 & Mata
Ferdinand or any 5.2 & Nasri
Do any of those combos stand out to you? Any other thoughts or suggestions?
