Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 23 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15
GW23 is live! We hope you are happy with your transfers, your line-up and your all important captain selection as there’s little else you can do now other than sit back and watch the action unfold. Live Match Chat is your chance to have your say on the line-ups as they are announced, the games as they happen and the fallout afterwards!
This round of fixtures sees us off with a lunch time kickoff and what a game we have in store. A battle between a Hull team who couldn’t score on the FF247 writers versus a side who lost their heart and soul when the silver fox took his talents to Crystal Palace. Luckily some actual FPL talent hit the pitch with six 3pm games. Including a battle at Anfield when former Liverpool heroes Downing and Carroll pay a visit. The best fixture of the GW caps the Saturday games. As City looks to revive their hopes of challenging for the title with a visit to Stamford Bridge. Sunday brings us the last two fixtures of the GW, with Arsene’s men chasing down that coveted 4th place title vs the goal scoring machine of Aston Villa. We then finish the GW off with the surprising Saints as they look to continue their inspiring march towards the champions league.
Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the woofbet.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so keep checking back in and see where you stand in the leaderboard.

Hey need to get bertrand out. Who shall I replace him with?
shanec
Here’s my team
Raziel
Hmmmm not just Bertrand. YOu also have to worry about Cameron I see. Hard one. Once he’s back in 3 GW’s I think he could be a must again. Alternatives are Clyne/Fonte/Clichy/Williams.
gkw
Clichy? Are you joking Raz?
Man C haven’t kept a CS since GW17 – which is as long ago as Villa have gone without scoring (so something’s gotta give when they play each other in GW34
). You wouldn’t recommend a Villa attacker, would you?
NIN
If you can afford a Chelsea defender (not Zouma 😉 )then go that route. If not, then Clyne or Clichy, for me
gkw
Shanec, just a straight switch to Clyne if you can’t afford simply to bench him. Soton are still sound in defence, but fell to a great strike from Shelvey.
Captain Dicky and His C Men
Could someone RMT. WC active, only player im not 100% on are Cabella.
Raziel
Looks good. Now off for bed. Oyas.
NIN
Yeah Cabella is essentially the only ‘? here. He’s not one i would look to buy due to his lack of, well, everything! so far.
Captain Dicky and His C Men
Puncheon instead? Or Downing? Sissoko?
inittowinit
Find yourself a 6.0m mid instead and upgrade Wasishisnameski?
NIN
Walters or Puncheon, for me.
inittowinit
Walters at home to City in GW25 NIN.
NIN
You just want him all to yourself 😉 Good point though. Puncheon so.
inittowinit
Anyone can have him that week NIN!
Think we’ve nailed it for you Dicky. Either Puncheon vs Newcastle or one of the Sunderland lads vs QPR . Your choice!
NIN
inittowinit
Erm yeah! Cabella…. Ask me to name 100 fantasy players right now and he’d have not been on my list! And he’s 7.1m. I may be missing something and I’ll go check his stats out but honestly not one I’d ever considered buying, ever.
Captain Dicky and His C Men
He just looked decent in his last game and a goal can do wonders for confidence. Point taken though, Would would be at the top of your list for 7.1 and under?
Captain Dicky and His C Men
This?
inittowinit
It’s a tough one as you’ll probably want to play the other 4 this week anyway so whoever it is will be on the bench this week so you need to look at GW24 for that spot really and even then you’ll play Silva, Haz and Sanchez for sure leaving that last spot open to either JWP at home to West Ham vs whoever you pick and the options below 7.1m as an alternative for that week aren’t exactly great other than perhaps Sunderland at home to QPR so maybe slip Johnson or Larsson in there with a view to that week?
inittowinit
Longest sentence ever
inittowinit
Sorry GW25 I meant. ‘you need to look at GW25 for that spot’…
NIN
Rooney -> Aguero done. Huge sigh of relief, that. Chubby twat did feck all for me :whatever:
TomW13
Hi guys who would be the best replacement for Bertrand. Already have Terry, Pieters, Wisdom and wasilewski? Can get anyone
gkw
Ivanovic, then?
Hoof Hearted
Hi ladies and gentlemen
I am concerned about the Wisdom only playing 60 minutes in the last gameweek. Does anyone know why this happened? I did not have a chance to see the match.
Is Bellerin worth a punt over Wisdom?
gkw
Hoof, Wisdom wasn’t coping well against a rampant Spurs attack so it was partly his performance. But in fairness none of the WBA defenders were coping that well so it could be argued the switch was tactical. They were 2-0 down and so it was time to try changing things around. I doubt he’s lost his place, though to me the whole performance casts doubt on the er wisdom of trusting WBA’s defence rather than say Swansea or even Villa.
shanec
Terry or clyne?
