The first game-week after an international break always makes for fun and games as we have to deal with those ‘international injuries’. Costa is injured, or is he?! Ramsey is injured, or is he?! The game-week kicks off with Arsenal hosting City at lunchtime today and we wrap things up on Monday night with an equally glamourous tie as Hull ‘entertain’ West Ham. Oh and in between there’s the small matter of United potentially rolling out another three debutants.

Gutted I gave the armband to Sterling at the last minute, but thems the breaks in this game. Looking at some of the other scores on the boards I guess 56 with Rooney still to play isn’t half bad. I’m more frustrated by how many points I’ve left on the bench so far and some captain decisions that haven’t worked out so well this season than my actual team up to this point. Oh well, it’s all part of the FPL education I suppose.
On the bright side I transferred “OG” Terry out for Clyne who got a clean sheet, and while I did get rid of Ramsey (who ended up starting) with my 2nd FT, I brought in Fabregas who did very well. Looking forward to seeing how the team looks at New Trafford tomorrow and moving on to the next game week.

Same here RedVT, I saw that the FFTeam had C’d him so I thought go on then and well, Costa happened.
Yeah, that’s a tough one Burnsy but it’s bound to happen to everyone over the course of the season. I need to learn to stick with the team decisions I make before I go to sleep and not wake up early (6:00 am my time) to reconsider things. It almost always works against me and I regret it.
Oh well, some weeks a good captain pick keeps you in it and some weeks you have to rely on the strength of your team to make up for a bad pick.
Burnsy, I read somewhere earlier you blamed me? For what? Taking in Sterling? Sterling number 1 in the captain poll of the ff247 site? If it helps, I replaced Ramsey with Sterling.

Not capping Costa cost me my rankins. On that note, I have more players left than most, I figure. I have DDG, Di Maria and Rooney (C) (and 1 pointer Chambers will come off of my bench). From 13k to 99k though.

In hindsight it might’ve not been smart to take a hit to get in Di Maria for Mata. It should pay off in the long run though.

Two defenders for a hit? I see you have 4 starters, you really need to take a hit? I would just take out Jones for someone else.
Terry to Baines if you are intent on losing Big John but I’d probably deal with Jones first. See how Utd fare tomorrow first as you may fancy Shaw or something after that. Big may. Everton have Palace up next at home and you get plenty of trimmings with Baines.
True that, Baines. But do keep in mind the 2 weeks after the Palace game they will go away from home to Liverpool (same city though :P) and ummm ManU (with Falcao/DiMaria/RvP/Rooney, I’m even shitting my pants).
