Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 5 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15
The deadline bell has rung and your decisions are now final! This could actually be a tough week for fantasy managers. A lot of the usual, ‘obvious’ candidates are away from home and even those that aren’t have difficult games on paper. Arsenal, Liverpool, Southampton, Man Utd and Chelsea are all on the road while Swansea and Man City are at home but are by no means guaranteed anything, facing Southampton and Chelsea respectively. QPR and Stoke kick us off at 12.45pm in the early Saturday game and even that ones hard to call given the inconsistencies of both. We then have five 3pm kick offs and the day is rounded off as West ham host Liverpool in the evening game at 5.30pm. Sunday sees Leicester vs Man Utd and Spurs vs West Brom, both at 1.30pm followed by two 4pm games as Everton host Palace and the big one of the weekend that sees Man City square up to Chelsea.

What change would you make to this? I have 2 FT!

Ivanovic / Clyne / Taylor / Wilson / Duff
Silva / Fabregas / Sterling / Sigurdsson / King
Falcao / Costa / Welbeck
My first transfer will be Silva to Di Maria, but then I would need to free up 0.7£.
I´m thinking about either downgrading Ivanovic or Falcao. Thoughts?
Hey Tjoms, well Di Maria is a wise move, and I’d keep Falcao if I were you.
That 0.7m will probably have to come from Welbeck or Ivanovic.
Just taken a 4 point hit to replace Naismith with Pelle and Sanchez with Sterling. I just need to tweak the defence now. Any recommendations?
I won’t be making any more transfers before GW6. Not had a great start to the season but hopefully this will now do the trick!
welbeck is 7.1, pelle is 7.6……just saying.
We’ll see with Welbeck but Pelle has the proven record at the moment…
Evening Sniper. Well, if youve just taken a 4 point hit to do the moves you’ve done I would sit tight ready for gw6. However, looking at your defence, Debuchy is out with an unknown return date, so needs getting rid of asap due to his price drop potential. Bruce appears to have lost his place, but you have Hutton to cover
Why didnt you sort out Debuchy first?
I felt that I could leave him as I still have cover for the defence and wanted to optimise my midfield and forward attacking options. I understand his price will drop and Ill possibly lose 0.2 until the next game week. Who do you think would make a good replacement for him? I was considering Rafael but I’m now thinking I should steer clear of any Man Utd defence!!

total fpl seems to be all over the place at the moment, so I’m trying to judge prices from the barclays site itself!!
when i take out ramsey and rooney, I’m left with 20.2 mil.. but there are too many options!!! silva? arm?falcao?aguero? favouring falcao and silva combo, thoughts??

yeah in the same boat, i think welbeck at 7.1 is much more safer than pellet at 7.6.. just my stubborn opinion 😉
think silva will come in for rambo, (have lord welbeck as arsen coverage), which leaves 16.2 for a striker and midfielder- so do i go 343 or 352… ADM and ulloa OR falcao and 5.2 mid.
favouring adm/ulloah myself. what formation you looking at?

Still thk 3-4-3 is the best formation I’ve got a couple of issues @ back but will sort those over coming wks I’ve already got Welbeck Costa & Rooney so looking @ Pelle he has good fixtures coming up & none of the other big FWDs doing much

Haz, take no notice of totalfpl price change. You can guage something from NTI for the day though.
ADM seems the only fpl player that is looking like a must have ahead of any other midfielder.

I’m seeing huge scores next weekend, 52 average for the gameweek, top score 138. My predictions are always so horribly wrong but i like to get them in early.

Evening James! Team looking good mate! Just interested on your thoughts on Tadic? His stats are fantastic, but he doesn’t seem to deliver fpl points. My son has him in his team and I dont want to say sell due to his stats, but is he gonna be one of those that contributes throughout the game but not worth a dime with fpl!?

I’ve watched Tadic play, and as you say he is *performing* very well for an in-form side with top fixtures, so it’s a real shame he hasn’t delivered the points yet!
My thoughts: if he can’t do it at home to QPR then he can’t do it at all. This will be his last chance I think. Good luck to you (and your son) for the season by the way!

I’m with you, gonna see if he can deliver fpl points against QPR at home. Pelle seems the better option at the moment, but nothing worth a hit or even a transfer if you own Tadic.
