Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1. As the great Bruce Buffer would say “IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTSSS TTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMMEE!” Here we go, the planning stage is over and the moment has come to test all your pre-season theories. This season we don’t even have to wait until the weekend either, as the season kicks off on a Friday night. The invincible Arsene Wenger and his boys take on the now “back where they belong” Leicester.

Saturday hits us with a lunch time feast as Watford welcome in Liverpool and their high octane attack. Three o’clock has five fixtures on the slate. The Champs grab their first 3 points when they face Burnley, Palace host newcomer Huddersfield, The Toffees tangle with Stoke, Saints pummel Swansea and The Baggies back from vacation finally after leaving in February mix it up with The Cherries. The Saturday fixtures finish up when recently promoted Brighton tries their hand at figuring out why City paid that much for that defence.

Sunday hits us with the last two fixtures. Newcastle reacquaints themselves with the Premier League when they face Harry Kane and company, geez, what a welcome back. The late game pairs up Man United side versus a Hammers team whose big acquisitions were in part, three old Manchester leftovers, Chicha, Zaba and Hart.

Gabbiadini to Mounie ? Draft before deadline had Mounie but switched him to Gab and Kun to Jesus last min.

I’m giving Gabbi another go at home to West-Ham and ship him if he doesn’t produce. I read that he was good first half and had a header on the post. Thin margins.

One look at Huddersfield’s fixtures and it ain’t half tempting.

Three home games in the next four against reasonable opposition.

So long as there’s no other issues in your squad then a yes from me.

      • Neilos says:

Hey GP that’s what’s tempting me – plus Gab’s price is going to drop whereas Mounie’s will be going up……..I just worry that Austin may get a chance and it’s giving me the itchy trigger finger

        • Gavy says:

I have mane in my team. I also have Gab who I want to ship. But pool have a mid-week game, I know price drop might get me but waiting until that game is over and he’s injury free. If I lose the price on mounie I’ll get vokes

      • wylecoyote says:

he does look v tempting , but ive got Lukaku , Firminho and Vardy – so i know if i swop out will regret somewhere down the line

Had a pretty solid week in the end. Could have been better without Fab. Who is the popular choice to ship him out for? Ramsey/Xhaka/Willian/Ritchie? Hold the FT? Or try engineer a bit extra to get Mhiki?

Anyone know or has come across an answer to this please?

Regarding the Free Hit chip does it cancel any hits already made? Or would it zoom you back to your starting point (when you pressed the activate button) which was basically your team with a hit?

    Smash10 says:

Any ideas what to do here? I’m not sure to leave it as it is. Salah looked good though and have the Fabregas problem. What about Miki and Salah in for KDB and Fabregas. Though KDB could easily come good. Maybe just early frustration

      SAFs_hairdryer says:

On the face of it they sound good moves but KDB is just class and he’ll be a season keeper most likely. I’d just get rid of Fab, but who for, no idea (see post 218)

      • Smash10 says:

Yeah struggling on a Fabregas replacement. Willian has Spurs away. Rambo has tough games and Stoke away where he broke his leg

        • SAFs_hairdryer says:

I’m tempted but getting in someone cheaper to prepare for other transfers next week. Did Xhaka play well or was he just a bit lucky to get the assists?

I’m also considering just benching Fab and using the FT elsewhere

        • Gavy says:

Zaha was very unlucky not to score in his game. He’s playing liverpool away. In most case that would be a problem but with their defence the way it is and tired legs from a mid week game could be his chance to find form

        • dadinho says:

I would go Atsu or Ince

        • Smash10 says:

Xhaka is the same player he won’t get assists very often. In fact he will probably still collect more cards

    • 220.2
      DMC says:

Smash – KDB is a class act and is involved in all attacking plays for City, including all set pieces, bar penalties. On that reasoning I wouldn’t sell him after one failure (I don’t have him mind). One thing that worries me slightly with him is that he also seems likely to often assist the assister, as the first goal showed. We just need to see if that’s a trend or an isolated event. He could easily have had a few assists too though so probably the later. In other words, having bought him from the off I wouldn’t lose faith on him.

As it stands 35,430 people have already sold Kane

Quick question, when do the players values start to rise and fall?
