Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14

With barely a moment to catch up or give any real thought to a transfer we are back again as we begin on Saturday and end on Monday with a chance for a quick breather before Boxing Day, but take it while you can as once next Saturday is here we then have a game or more every day on 9 of the next 10 days, spanning multiple GW’s. New Years Eve being the only one sans any action.

On that note we shall give you a quick update on our intentions in regards to publishing articles over this busy period. In short we shall have a bumper Christmas Tips on the 22nd with a Site Team edition on Xmas Eve. Beyond that it will probably just have to be ‘Live Match Chats’ with everybody fending for themselves / helping each other out, as the GW’s do literally seem to fall over each other from one day to the next, allowing us scant opportunity to say anything meaningful in-between. We do intend to post a brief FF247 Site Team update each time but there will be none of the usual Fixtures, Tips, Capos etc as there simply isn’t time or room. Plus we like our writers to have a good rest occasionally too!

GW14 itself begins on Saturday at 12.30 pm and ends on Monday night. The full line-up is in the picture below. Just also bear in mind, to complicate matters even more, that there are midweek Milk Cup games which involve Newcastle, Arsenal, Man City, Spurs, Everton and Man United.

The GW14 games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 14 from all at FF247!

Thanks for reading Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14.

That goal took Taylor from 11 points down to 5

What’s better going forward KDB and Raphinia or Son and Grealish. Will give KDB the Newcastle game? Son and Grealish would involve a -4. Stones will be coming in for James

Has anyone created a good draft team for DGW 19? Looking for some inspiration!

    Hey guys!

I know everyone has different approach when it comes to BGW & DGW but I genuinely don’t know what to do with my team. What is the best possible strategy here, as I currently have only 5 players participating in the BGW (Kane, Son, Podence, Martinez, DCL)?

FH 18 and build for 19 in the background in the meantime. With possibly a BB in that. That’s what I’m looking at anyway.

      • Tornado says:

        Cheers, init!
What about BGW/DGW later on in the season? Don’t you think it’s worth keeping a chip like FH/BB, or is it better to use them now?
Or maybe FH and BB now and WC to attack the latter DGW.

I tried to create some sort of FH draft for BGW18 but it doesn’t look too well haha

        • Without knowing what is is actually on the horizon I’d say WC for the later one prior to it and maybe TC on it. Or alternatively plan for just 11 in 19 and TC in that and then WC ahead of the later one and BB in that. Probably easier to do the latter actually as BB’ing in the 19 one looks problematic in terms of spreading funds given the ‘need’ for Spurs.

        • Tornado says:

Yeah, I think I am leaning towards FH in GW18 and TC in GW19. But I keep going round in circles.

      • Aarron13 says:

Gameweek 18 best for free hit?, Double game weeks later on in the season won’t there?

        • Kralin says:

          Yes, like GW19.

        • Aarron13 says:

Game week 18 only 5 fixtures isn’t there?

        • Tornado says:

Aaaron, I only have 5 players playing in GW18. That’s why I think I will probably go for FH in GW18.

        • Kralin says:

The reasoning – or I daresay one of the reasonings – for FH in 18 is to enable managers to build a strong squad for GW19 – a squad they can possibly bench boost.

It’s a good idea and I can see its appeal. It’s not so much about 18 as about making 19 as good as possible (and hopefuly being well up on whatever the average is that week).

        • Aarron13 says:

          I have 4 in gameweek 18
I’m considering Free hit myself in gameweek 18

      Kralin says:

As with all these weeks, there are various schools of thought. Mine, driven mainly by laziness and lack of moral fibre, is to wildcard after the next GW and ensure I have reasonable GW18 coverage. Then I can ignore any injuries / games suspended etc in the exciting run up to GW19 and just binge on GW19 players with a free hit.

That will leave me BB and TC for some sunny day.

      • Tornado says:

        Cheers, Kralin!
I guess it really depends on what our current squads are and what chips we have in hand. You are a wise/lazy man, so I am sure you’ll be alright!
