Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 24

Let the fun begin! We could be about to encounter a number of DGW’s on the bounce and DGW24 is the first of those, albeit with just the 4 teams playing twice.

We begin on Saturday and end on Wednesday but it is also worth bearing in mind that DGW25 then starts less than 48hrs later, on Friday evening.

Leicester and Liverpool get us under way @12.30pm on Saturday and this is followed by Palace & Burnley @3pm, Man City get their double under way @5.30pm vs Spurs before Brighton & Villa see Saturday out @8pm.

Sunday is a similar marathon with Saints vs Wolves @12pm, Man Utd going to West Brom @2pm, Arsenal welcoming Leeds @4.30pm with Everton & Fulham getting their respective doubles under way @7pm.

Just the two on Monday as West Ham welcome Sheffield Utd @6pm and Newcastle go to Chelsea @8pm.

The ‘bonus’ games occur on Wednesday with Burnley & Fulham boring everybody @6pm before Everton & Man City should hopefully wake us all up again @8.15pm.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Well, captain Mee was a punt that didn’t pay off!

Thinking of choosing def if on a WC. I would just choose from Man City, Villa, Leeds, Spurs, Eve and Southampton. So something like 2xCity + Dallas + Targett + Dier would also cover the blank GW29 as well as potential doubles. Thoughts on Dier?

What do people think of going without Salah on a wildcard? foolish? Just put a draft together that had De bruyne, son, Bruno and Kane as the big hittters. Fitting Salah in with my low team value is quite difficult

Despite the posibility of a triple double, there seems little interest in Southampton players, except may be Ings for a week then switching to Kane. Southampton’s form has not been great, but if they do have several doubles thoughts on a defender or JWP?

I personally it’s a very sensible idea, especially as the fixtures look relatively good.
I’m looking at a defender, and then potentially Ward-Prowse or Minamino.

I’m actually going to triple on them. More games = more chance of accumulating points

One defender and Ings maybe. Any more sounds like overkill they are struggling for form

Given the drawn out nature of things – like Southampton experiencing multiple double gamesweeks, etc – and no doubt our seeing our sides plagued by injuries, suspensions, etc – then Southampton, for me anyway, can wait for now. I feel relatively happy with Ings this coming GW and maybe will bring in another of their players later on as it all starts playing out.

But maybe actually seeing the fixtures laid out neatly will do something to my brain and I’ll delude myself into an outrageous Bednarek / Bertrand double.

I did consider adding Armstrong and having a Armstrong/Ings/Bamford front line for 25.

But if I did that I’d lose a lot of dosh on Watkins and give myself a GW29 headache.

Can anybody confirm who the likely DGW teams are for 26-28? I’m almost certainly going to play my WC now, to BB in 26. And I’m in the luxury position of also having FH for 29. But this delay in fixture announcements is killing me – and I was hoping one of you clever folk might be able to tell me who to stack up on for the 26-28 period? Thanks.

      This is all I know.

      • banjomaker says:

Thanks Tornado. I have seen that actually. In fact, I may have shared it myself :big-lol:

So basically, stack up on all the brown ones for the double, and then concentrate on City, Spurs, Villa and Everton beyond that?!

        • Tornado says:

          Exactly :mosking:

Smash is helping me a lot with his wisdom and guidance but apart from that I am completely lost. I am in the same position you are (chip wise), so I am currently trying to find a way to use those precious chips properly and reap the benefits of keeping them so long. Knowing myself, I will probably mess it up completely

        • banjomaker says:

Ditto, Smash seems to be helping me with any annoying calls for help too. Maybe if we patiently wait for him to post a screenshot of his WC team then the perfect squad will be revealed :wink2:

Think it might get announced at 16:00 tomorrow so look out for that
