Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 25
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 25.And so we go again after a very short turnaround, little thinking time was afforded and all that with a big DGW to plan ahead for. Well ok, we say big, these things do tend to get get blown out of all proportion. Add to that trying to second guess which, if any, Man City players get a third game in 8 days and you have to begin to wonder whether it was worth any thought in the first place…
There’s a lot of football to be played before we even begin to think of that ‘extra’ game though and we begin on Saturday with Spurs hosting the newly crowned ‘Champions Of The World’ Newcastle. Or you’d have thought so anyway, if anyone saw their fans on Tuesday night. Bless them, the bare bellied lovable neanderthals.
The rest of Saturday looks fairly unenticing if we are being perfectly honest with you, as other than Chelsea most of the big boys play on Sunday or Monday. And we can only assume the Saturday evening game between Cardiff and Bournemouth is a contractual obligation, at the pain of death.
Leicester host Man United on Sunday in the early one before the main attraction of the weekend which is Arsenal vs Man City at 4.30pm.
Liverpool will look to hammer more nails in Pep’s coffin on Monday as they visit West Ham, before the week finally plays out on Wednesday with that hallowed ‘extra’ game, which sees Everton trying to repair the damage by lying down for Man City, legs akimbo; ‘come on big boy, you need three points and some goals yeah, take them…’
The games in full…

Welcome to our Fantasy Football leagues section.
The League Codes for FF247 for the 2018/19 season are as follows –
Hey good folks,
Got lucky with captaining Aguero – downsite is my mini-league rivals have aguero, and hazard and luiz….so back to square one…
Currently i have got Danilo (got him in for a hit), Sane and Aguero..
What should my next moves be? Sane to Son? Danilo to a cheapo like Bednarek?
Current Team:
Fab/Ste
Luke Shaw/ VVD/Doherty/Wan B/ Danilo
Pogba/Sane/JWP/Salah/Felipe Anderson
Success/Rashford/Aguero
Any advice on how to catch up 80 points on rivals who have Salah/Hazard/Aguero?
LSD
Save this week, then Danilo to a someone and sane to son. I’d like to say Anderson to son but that’ll give some trouble in gw27…
I see a lot of people recommending holding the transfer this week, in order to give you two FTs for GW27. This is to allow you to gain as much info as possible on which teams will play in BGW31. This is a very fair strategy. But, it also means postponing adding players you want right now. You might, for instance, want Auba, Son, Jota, Mane etc. For me, it raises a question of whether you May be leaving points on the table by postponing transfers. My strategy will be to look at how many players i know i will have starting i BGW31, how many i can add (without taking hits) through FTs between GW27 – GW31, and whether there are any «likely outcomes» in the FA Cup 5th rnd fixtures. If you believe you’ll be able to field a decent 11, as well as bringing in players you want this week, i would go for «your guys» this week.
That’s all fair Pele, but how about bgw27? Every man and his dog will have 2/3/4 players that don’t have a game in 27 and only 2FT to prepare such gw. So either use one now (for instance Sane->Son) or save and reassess ahead of 27. That’s assuming you have a decent squad for 26 anyway, of course.
Never mind saving my FT, I’m probably going -4 this week!!
I was planning on saving my ft and sell digne the ahead of 27, but if there’s a better option i could sell him this week as I’m already set for 27, I’ll just bench sané. What defender would you choose? Got 5,8 to spend but I like to leave something itb…
Was thinking pereira who got some nice fixtures comming up, that would make keep digne against watford.
But is it better to go for TAA or shaw/lindelöf or kolasinac/koscielny/monreal, or someone else?
I’d hold. Any one of Digne, Bednarek and Wan-Bissaka could score well this week.
Your team looks great, with the exception of the GK. It might not be worth using a FT on, so saving would probably be the best way to go. This way, you’ll have two FTs and knowledge of who’ll blank in GW31.
I do like Kolasinac against Huddersfield, so if you want him long term i would probably pull the trigger this week. If you’ going for Pereira, TAA etc i would roll the transfer.
Aguero is owned by 30% which means 7 out of 10 people don’t own him. However, despite being on 50pts atm, I got a red arrow (granted the gw is still on) and lost 18k spots because of his haul. So my guess is that that % is much higher inside top 100k.
Bottom line is, we need ownership % for the top 100k, top 50k and top 10k.
In the top 50 overall there are 37 player who got him. That’s 74%.
Here you go for top 10k.Check out http://www.Livefpl.net some great stuff on there including live rank update.
I’m guessing EO stands for effective ownership and means what percentage captained him.
These stats are both FPL gold, and a bit depressing. It illustrates how a DGW influences the game, and the value of the (C). There was a lot of talk of how getting Sane would «protect» you against those who captain him. But so far, it looks as if those who chose Aguero may «make their season».
Those are all fair and useful tools but I meant on the fpl site. When you look up for TSB% it really doesn’t say much, especially this deep in the season, because of how many dead teams there are, etc. I say 100k but what it should do is allow you to configure your own search parameter. It could be 200k, 500k, 1M, whatever. Just don’t give us the total as if this is accurate when it probably isn’t. Many people ignore such stat and I for one don’t use it that often for my moves, but in certain situations, certain transfers, certain capo decisions, it’s important to know the meaning of having or not having someone in your team.
Something like this? https://www.fplanalytics.com/topManagers.html
Or are you just saying that you want this kind of info on offical fpl site? In that case I say no! This extra info gives you an advantage. That goes away if everyone has that info….
There is 1 in top 5k who benched Salah and 1 who TC’ed him.
1 person captained Oumar Niasse.
That was Mrs Niasse.
I’m saying I want this info on the oficial site. All complementary sites are welcomed, but as is it’s just deceiving with so many dead teams.
I want accurate, easy access and relevant (accordingly to each one’s OR etc) data on ownership %, that’s all.
It might happen that they start doing that. They stole the fixture tracker a few years back…
Tsk tsk -Mrs Niasse sold hubby and bought Rashford!
Useful site – never come across that before. I’m fairly lazy with this sort of research but it was interesting to see how many of the top 10 captained Sane – a decision that could still work out well this week.
If you’re wanting top 50k or 100k I doubt it’s a prtoblem
Please do elaborate SZ
.the top 50k from 6m or whatever it is are going to be active, going by their criteria, even though yours might be different.
SZ, I used to monitor the overall Top 5 for a while and to be honest there are some very odd selections and movements there. For example that Finish guy, the number One, brought Salah only few round ago.
Yup Ivan, you remember when the game’s Top 5 all played different rules?
Gomez to undergo an operation on his leg, no timescale for his teturn.
Return.
Probably season, or most of it
Good for TAA as long as he’s finally back this week
That depends. For TAA to be an asset, you need the defence AS a whole to work. With Gomez out, Lovren struggling, and Allison a bit crazy on the ball, you’d assume the chances of cleans will be affected?
not good news at all

Sums this weekend up for a lot of people !
That’s brilliant, wish I could change the words…
Couldn.t help but laugh my ass off. What a blast.
Ha ha that made me chuckle!
I did bring in Agüero as well and I’m actually thinking of moving him on to PEA for GW26 😉
Tonight on BT Sport 2 at 7pm – Silly Little Game.
In my opinion, a must-watch for anyone who plays fantasy sports.
Thanks for the tip GP. I’ll see if I can get it over here too. There is a sitcom about fantasy sports in US called “The league”. Not seen it yet though. It’s about Famtasy NFL but I think all the same issues exist in both games. Can you get that in UK?
I’ll check for that mate thank you.
The documentary I’m on about is an ESPN 30 for 30 so I’m sure you’ll get it simply enough.
Ah, ok. Yes, we get all the 30 for 30s. They’re nearly always really good.
I love them chins. Haven’t had one yet I didn’t really enjoy. Even the ones in the sports I dont usually have an interest in grab my attention.
Thanks for the tip!
No worries Pele :ok:
