Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 25

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 25.And so we go again after a very short turnaround, little thinking time was afforded and all that with a big DGW to plan ahead for. Well ok, we say big, these things do tend to get get blown out of all proportion. Add to that trying to second guess which, if any, Man City players get a third game in 8 days and you have to begin to wonder whether it was worth any thought in the first place…

There’s a lot of football to be played before we even begin to think of that ‘extra’ game though and we begin on Saturday with Spurs hosting the newly crowned ‘Champions Of The World’ Newcastle. Or you’d have thought so anyway, if anyone saw their fans on Tuesday night. Bless them, the bare bellied lovable neanderthals.

The rest of Saturday looks fairly unenticing if we are being perfectly honest with you, as other than Chelsea most of the big boys play on Sunday or Monday. And we can only assume the Saturday evening game between Cardiff and Bournemouth is a contractual obligation, at the pain of death.

Leicester host Man United on Sunday in the early one before the main attraction of the weekend which is Arsenal vs Man City at 4.30pm.

Liverpool will look to hammer more nails in Pep’s coffin on Monday as they visit West Ham, before the week finally plays out on Wednesday with that hallowed ‘extra’ game, which sees Everton trying to repair the damage by lying down for Man City, legs akimbo; ‘come on big boy, you need three points and some goals yeah, take them…’

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 25 from all at FF247!

Dreadful GW so far with only 27, and my mini league rivals having Aguero/Hazard means I fall from 1st to 4th, but I guess this is why we all love this game. With Son rising in price tonight I’m thinking of going ahead with Richarlison > Son and Holebas > Bednarek, any better moves you guys can see or is this good?

    • 115.1

Thought you were going to say from first to out of the league. smile

      • Don’t see a problem with your moves, I move Bamba instead of Holebas if it was possible, but either way it works.

        • Veer says:

Hey Mito, yes that is possible with 0.0 to spare, do you think that is a better move then? I thought Cardiff’s fixtures were marginally better so I should keep Bamba.

        • Brookyboy says:

I’d lose Holebas as he is on 9 yc’s ! One more and he gets a 2 game ban.

        • Veer says:

Another option is to take a -4 and do Richarlison > Son, Robertson > Conolly (with TAA coming back I have Liverpool defensive coverage and I don’t like doubling up at the back with any team), and Kamara > Jimenez, for Wolves’ home game against Newcastle.

        • Veer says:

Good point there Brookyboy, that escaped my attention

        • Yeah, I saw the 9 yellows, reason I said Bamba out is because I would think that Holebas has a higher ceiling and it looks like Veer has to use a fourth defender considering he owns Kamara and Billing in his attacking side. But having checked their numbers just now, doesn’t look like much difference and Bamba doesn’t have a suspension looming after his next yellow, so as Brooky said that could be the way to go.

        • Brookyboy says:

Yeah i’d have kept Holebas if it wasnt for the 9 yc’s.Cardif’s fixtures are better too over the next 5.

      Kralin says:

I’d be advising against too many transfers this week. I don’t think that’s a terrible side at all and will be fine to take into 27. You will be very grateful to have 2FT going into 27.

And this GW is far from over.

    Starfox says:

    Transfers made
    Salah > Sterling
    Anderson > Sane
    Abu > Kun

I was trailing in my leagues but after tonight and a triple captain kun I’m challenging in all again. Sane didn’t work out but I don’t care haha. And even after everyone on here advised me against those moves I stuck with my gut, and there’s still obviously the bonus points to come and second game midweek. Happy Chappy tonight ⚽⚽⚽

I don’t own Aguero. It’s a bloody depressing sentence to write. Hopefully he gets the night off Wednesday. Unfortunately I have a feeling he won’t.

      gkw says:

Dreamers, despite that you’ve got a decent score this GW so shouldn’t lose much ground. More importantly, you’ve got a great squad and should quickly make up that lost ground and move a long way further up the rankings in the coming weeks.

      • Kralin says:

That’s not the word that crossed my mind when I heard what had happened.

I was more, ‘thank you very much dear Kun (not for the first time) and sorry for making jokes about your hair-do’.

Despite having made a good profit from him I do feel for you Smash, though I imagine you feared the worst after 1 minute.

        I hope AJW captained him.

        • Smash says:

I’ll be alright with it as long as Salah returns. Just could have been so much better many advised against Auba out for Kun but it could pay off in future weeks

        • Kralin says:

I’m not sure what I would have done had I owned Auba.

Auba’s next two games should see points a-plenty. I tend to look at players over the long-term and I’m sure his returns will be hearty. I’m planning on getting him from 27.

        • inittowinit says:

Did they Smash? Felt like a no-brainer of a move this week that, albeit a punty ish one.

        • Smash says:

Yeah I asked it a couple of times and no one really backed it. I was very torn by it one of those that could have gone either way. Saturday morning you and Kop backed it but was too late for me by then.

        • inittowinit says:

Youll have to let us know what your deadline is next time then smile

        • Smash says:

Before the price swing. It is what it is at the end of the day. I’ve just been getting fairly average scores recently. If Salah does the business I’m prob fine
