Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 25

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 25.And so we go again after a very short turnaround, little thinking time was afforded and all that with a big DGW to plan ahead for. Well ok, we say big, these things do tend to get get blown out of all proportion. Add to that trying to second guess which, if any, Man City players get a third game in 8 days and you have to begin to wonder whether it was worth any thought in the first place…

There’s a lot of football to be played before we even begin to think of that ‘extra’ game though and we begin on Saturday with Spurs hosting the newly crowned ‘Champions Of The World’ Newcastle. Or you’d have thought so anyway, if anyone saw their fans on Tuesday night. Bless them, the bare bellied lovable neanderthals.

The rest of Saturday looks fairly unenticing if we are being perfectly honest with you, as other than Chelsea most of the big boys play on Sunday or Monday. And we can only assume the Saturday evening game between Cardiff and Bournemouth is a contractual obligation, at the pain of death.

Leicester host Man United on Sunday in the early one before the main attraction of the weekend which is Arsenal vs Man City at 4.30pm.

Liverpool will look to hammer more nails in Pep’s coffin on Monday as they visit West Ham, before the week finally plays out on Wednesday with that hallowed ‘extra’ game, which sees Everton trying to repair the damage by lying down for Man City, legs akimbo; ‘come on big boy, you need three points and some goals yeah, take them…’

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Poor start but plenty of appearances left I guess, but for sure, I’m dropping back outside the top half mil again tonight!

21 from 3. Annoyingly Ings was brought off injured after just 27 minutes.

If you’re not happy with your score yet, there is a long way to go this GW!

Who do you predict will have the highest points total this gw.
    A) hazard + martial
    B) sane + son

“10” = Bo Derek? You kept that one up your sleeve.

      I’m on about -50.

Did you stay with the Siggy captaincy or move to a more rational choice?

Let’s hope that 47 + Bo = at least the moon and NYC 75 by this time tomorrow.

It maybe a little early,. but do you guys have a plan for the blanks and dgws that are coming? how are are you gonna play the wc and chips i mean.

No time is too early and it’s wise to do so. I’m going to start looking at that stuff this week – who’s playing, who isn’t etc. My first plan, if you can call it that, is to roll the GW26 transfer into 27.

I think – could be wrong – that we’ll know the GW31 blanks before the deadline for week 27.

So in terms of planning we’re moving into classic FL overthinking territory a key period.

      Saw this on Twitter.
      Blank GW31 – free hit
      Double GW32 – triple captain
      Blank GW33 – you have 11
      GW34 – wildcard
      Double GW35 – bench boost

      • Kralin says:

        All interesting stuff.

My only thought so far is that the blanks will be mitigated by Liverpool playing. And that takes some of the pressure off. Everyone will captan Salah. Remember what happened last year in the same situation, not that lightning will strike twice.

        • DMC says:

This is one of the reasons we’re better with the WC+BB as later as possible, because if we are to have 15 doublers then we can’t have Liverpool players and that’s best to do as late as possible as there might be no time to get them back. Of course Salah can do so much damage in 5 gws (34 to 38) that we are probably going with 14 doublers + him.

        • Kralin says:

          Yes, sounds about right.

And a problem with selling him will be the cost of getting him back. Robertson may survive as well.

Your honey comment made me laugh.

        • DMC says:

          Ehehe

Yeah, Robertson too. Great fixtures too in that period bar perhaps 34 and 38. Liverpool should have a double too grrrr

      • Zed Leppelin says:

If Chelsea progress to FAC and Europa League Semifinals (that’s still a big if but surely possible) then they will have 3 blanks, 2 matches would be in DGW32 and DGW35, so there’d still be one match left, so there’d still be one more DGW for Chelsea… This is relevant because TC on Hazard or Higuain if he really finds his scoring boots towards the end of the season could be a decent shout then and the FH chip could be used in DGW32 instead…

For me it depends on whether Wolves progress in the FA Cup, it would mean Wolves vs Arsenal is a blank in GW31 which would mean Auba, Jimenez, Doherty would blank which would hurt me… If they all blank, I think FH in GW31 is in order, if not, FH GW32 is an option… So the answer now really is waiting to see what happens in the FAC next round! smile

      • @Smash, the problem with this strategy is you would only have 2 free transfers before the blank in 33 after the FA CUP, what’s more it would mean you be running a weakened side in 32 to ready yourself for 33.

We can ready ourselves for the blank in 31 as we will know between 26 and 27 who will blank. Play the free hit in 32 and have 11 DGW players or whatever amount we want and in 33 we would have our team from 31 back and a free transfer and will definitely have 11. In 34 we can wildcard and 35 hit the bench boost. If CFC have another DGW, we can play the TC there if not we could use it on Salah vs Huddersfield in 36.
