Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 28

Look, it’s a regular gameweek with no blanks or no doubles and to be honest some of us are so thankful for that.

This super normal GW kicks off on Friday when Toon play host to Emi “Lord of the Clean Sheet” Martinez, for non-owners he is known as “that bastard that kills me every week, but I am too stubborn to buy”.

Saturday gives us four more fixtures. Leeds tries to slow down a surging Chelsea side in the early game. Palace then takes on West Brom which is followed by Everton welcoming in Burnley and the day is capped off with Fulham taking on Pep’s XI, whatever that might be that day.

Sunday also gives us four encounters. Saints tangle with Brighton, Leicester dismantle Sheffield, Arsenal and Spurs square off in the North London Derby and 2nd place Manchester United face off vs the 5th place Hammers in the late one.

Monday sees a close to the gameweek when Wolves takes on the 3 points out of their last 21 Liverpool. Geez!

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

I missed the games till now. Is Bale injured too?
I have 8 players or 7 if Bale is out. Not a great team by any stretch of the imagination.
Do I need to take a hit to bring in one more? 0 FT. 4.2mib
    Thanks!

Must admit feel a bit short changed from Bruno there could have had a couple of goals and feel robbed of the assist. At least Shaw is on for 9 points

      Kralin says:

Plenty more weeks of Bruno to come.

I felt a faint irrational sense of irritation when I heard Son was injured. Could have done without that but sometimes injuries help open doors that would have remained closed otherwise. One door has ‘Bale?’ written on it.

      • Smash says:

Yeah who was poor but not loads of options, my FH is going to be interesting

        • Kralin says:

Given that the best defensive assets all seem to be Brighton players then yes, it should be.

Possibly with the exception of the Brighton game then I really wouldn’t want to predict what’ll happen next week.

It’s an intersting chip in that the reasons for playing it seem more around not lumbering teams with unwanted players rather than a grab for points.

There will be points to be grabbed however and it could all fall perfectly.

        • Smash says:

Yeah all those games are difficult to predict. I’ll have 11 and I’ll hope for the best. Not even in a rush to hit the button. There are players there who could perform but it’s more the case for me I won’t mess up my team and I’ll get some returns as players will score it’s just which ones

Likewise. It was always gonna be a tricky week for captaincy, missed a potential haul from him.

My BGW29 team: 4 players, 1 FT and 0.4m…….sacrifice the GW? or do a FH? I can get a Brighton Def. in FT.
    Martinez

    Raphinha
    Kane(C), Watkins

I do not see FUL-LEE, WHU-ARS, AVL-TOT to be high scoring. Only BHA – NEW can be a good matchup for Brighton.

      Smash says:

I’m of the view point to FH. At least you get the appearance points and should make ground with that. It’s not like the whole team are going to blank despite it not being the best round of fixtures. Also people will take hits to field players and I don’t really want to be stuck with players from these teams

      • GoalMachine says:

Yes, even I do not want Brighton, Fulham players in my team. Watkins is also useless. Leeds and West ham fixture are not good. Arsenal has none to buy.
with Bamford, Son and Burn gone – 3 BGW options are gone for many.

        • Kralin says:

Watkins isn’t too bad for the price. I wouldn’t describe him as my worst signing this year – not by a long way.

        • Smash says:

I get the impression Bamford might be ok. Arsenal and West Ham have options it’s just difficult to call

      leeboy104 says:

I’d FH considering you have so few players.

      Kralin says:

We’ve – or rather I’ve – had the experience of losing in the cup to teams that only seem to have two players in them.

It may all come down to Kane next GW. If he does well – and assuming most people will have and captain him – then how many players you field may not be the issue it seems to be now. A B&HA defender may be enough to cover that one off.

I’m thinking of FH in the week Spurs and City don’t play.

Let’s face it, non of the expected captain candidates produced.
And, for the surprise of all Salah could come back tomorrow with a brace.

  5. 89

I seriously think I’m going to finish outside the top 2 million.

Surely I can’t still be anyone’s FPL friend after that…

    Hi all,

This is my team for GW 29. I have 2FT and 2.4ITB and I have used my FH. Brewster to Watkins but not sure who else to bring in and if I should take hit or not?
