Look, it’s a regular gameweek with no blanks or no doubles and to be honest some of us are so thankful for that.
This super normal GW kicks off on Friday when Toon play host to Emi “Lord of the Clean Sheet” Martinez, for non-owners he is known as “that bastard that kills me every week, but I am too stubborn to buy”.
Saturday gives us four more fixtures. Leeds tries to slow down a surging Chelsea side in the early game. Palace then takes on West Brom which is followed by Everton welcoming in Burnley and the day is capped off with Fulham taking on Pep’s XI, whatever that might be that day.
Sunday also gives us four encounters. Saints tangle with Brighton, Leicester dismantle Sheffield, Arsenal and Spurs square off in the North London Derby and 2nd place Manchester United face off vs the 5th place Hammers in the late one.
Monday sees a close to the gameweek when Wolves takes on the 3 points out of their last 21 Liverpool. Geez!

Possibly my worst fantasy weekend set of transfers in my 16 years of playing this. Feel like saying see you next season ;(

All pretty wretched but some mild consolation I suppose in that you have nine points off the bench.
However if you’ve been playing the game for sixteen years then you’ll know that transfers seldom offer instant gratification. So no need to feel too sorry for yourself.
So after son and saka getting taken off o desided to hit the FH.

If son is named fit he’ll come back in for lookman and be played over Maupay. Outside that is the team looking ok? Going to risk no villa players as hoping kane makes up for the blank with a brace :dance:

Use your 2 FTs, don’t use FH.

yes 2 ft gives you 9 playing players but so will probably everybody else and they will probably have the same ideas of which players they want to bring in.
The Free hit gives you the change to pick the most in form players and actually make up some ground
True, I don’t think the fixtures are the best though for using the FH chip.
Think I kind of agree with this. They are not the best fixtures but they are fixtures at least. There’s not exactly a great upcoming week to FH either. Only advantage is going nuts and wildcarding the mess out.

I never like going cap and VC from the same team. Just in case a game is called off.
Other then that I like it. Mine is at comment 92
Prefer Cresswell over Lascelles to play. Nice
Cresswell has more going forward but also more at risk of loosing his clean sheet

Currently have 7 players for GW29 if Son is injured, thinking of Son >> Bale and Gundogan >> Lingard? If Son is passed fit then DCL >> Antonio could also be on the cards
I would keep Gundogan in situ.
Bale or Lings could come in for Son. Spurs have an attractive GW30 as well.
Terrible terrible week. I will end up on 33 once the auto subs are complete and Kane gets the armband. I have no horse in the race today and I hope Salah continues to blank as I sold him 2 weeks ago. At some point he’ll punish me for that but I hope it is not this one. Enough of this week. I was set up nicely for the BGW and was planning on holding my FT as originally I would have had 11. Now with the Bamford and Son injuries I am down to 9. So question for you all. I do not have a FH chip and this does not warrant the WC yet.
Son>Bale or Bamford>Antonio or roll the dice with 9?
Both may play. Son may rise from the dead like he did early in the season.
How about Gundo -> Lingard for more options just in case?

Rolling the dice with nine sounds fine.
I was half thinking of tidying my second goalie up this week for a real cheapie and so swelling the coffers a bit. If you have an itchy transfer finger you could do that.
Another option that may work to my advantage later.
