Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 3.

Manchester ‘the new Arsenal’ United try and do better this weekend in the first fixture of the gameweek when they face Brighton, that 4th place won’t win itself you know.

That is followed by Palace taking on Everton. A match up of two low to mid table two teams tied for top of the league on points.

West Brom will be looking to get their first point of the season when they play host to Chelsea. The Baggies forwards will be on high alert in case the Chelsea keeper is looking for his second assist of the season.

In the last game of the day Burnley will take on Southampton and their revolutionary tactics.

Sunday sees four more fixtures all nicely spread out. The early game pits a team headed back to the Championship in Sheffield United versus a team who just came from the Championship in Leeds, should be a fun watch. Leeds will do their best to make it a 4-3 game while The Blades do their best to make it a -4 to -3 game.

Spurs versus Toon is next on the Sunday menu where the on, off, back on Son train will look to reward his fickle owners and the loyalists who were with him from day one.

Man City then takes on first place Leicester in what should be an intriguing game.

The last of the bunch on this second day of action pits the mighty Hammers (heehee) vs Jimi and the Wolves.

Monday arrives with a two game meal and once again they’re conveniently spread out for us. The first is the bad appetizer in Fulham going up against Villa. But it’s ok, you went to the restaurant for the steak not the appetizer. And that steak will taste delicious as Liverpool sends Arsenal fans back to the cave where they belong as chants of ‘Arteta is not your saviour’ can be heard from the Kloppites.

The games in full…

    I just hope this week I will touch 100 points…… played WC in Gw3…97 points so far……well not in Gw3, but Sum(Gw1+Gw2+Gw3) = 97.
I think I should just retire this season and leave my team as-is…..whatever it scores. smile

Legitimately been the worst GW of my FPL career till date lol, though even most of the players I decided not to get on my WC (Jimenez) blanked so I guess it’s just an odd GW all round.
Looking ahead, I’ve narrowed it down to 3 options for this week. Son and Werner have gotta go for sure, feel like Ings could be in for a big haul against West Brom too

    1) Werner >> Vardy and Son >> Mahrez
    2) Werner >> DCL and Son >> Fernandes
    3) Werner >> Vardy, Son >> Anguissa, Davis >> Ings

    What do you guys think?

I have a similar team to you, and I’ve been considering similar moves. I’m leaning towards just moving on Son, and reassessing later in the week. Werner could well score big next week. In fact, he’s certain to if we ship him on!!

      • Veer says:

Werner will surely start scoring big eventually, but he’s not justifying his price tag at the moment with similarly prices and cheaper players scoring hat tricks.
Who are you thinking of bringing in for Son? Not really a lot of midfield options in that price range, I already have the ones I really like

I wouldn’t worry mate you’re not alone! Last week was my worst ever GW score (35) I’m currently on 15 (also on a WC) you just have to laugh! I’ll almost be sad if Salah and co get anything other that zeros and spoil the party!! :big-lol:

      • Veer says:

Glad we’re on the same boat there brother, still a long season ahead. Feel like one of them is bound to score big and at least turn this into a not-disastrous GW, but as an Arsenal fan I would forgive them all for blanking if we can nick a win at Anfield 😎

I’ve both werner and Son since GW1
Personally I’ll give werner a chance for the next 2 home fixtures.
Re Son, I’m leaning towards Rashford.

Last question before I log off (promise)…

    Zaha or Trossard?

    Will Son go down tonight?

Horror show! Hands down the worst start ever. I thought WC might help, well, it didn’t. Fail, after fail, and I have 2-3 injured players again :laugh2:
Anyway, I know I am not alone in this. You just gotta laugh, guys! Not much we can do tbf
My live OR shows somewhere around 5M. I am just imagining how good it’s going to feel when I start climbing and seeing massive green arrows!
Quick question – any suggestions for a striker up to 8.1M (apart from DCL)?
