Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 35

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 35. It’s very much after the Lord Mayor’s Show this week as we go from 14 fixtures over six successive days to just six matches this week due to the FA Cup semi-finals. It’s Liverpool who kick us off as they attempt to move closer to Man Utd when they travel to United’s conquerors West Brom at lunchtime. There is just one other game on Saturday as Crystal Palace take the shortish trip to Watford.

Sunday sees three matches – West Ham go to Arsenal at the same time as Stoke host Burnley before Swansea get the chance to spoil Man City’s party at the Etihad.

Our game-week finishes on Monday as Newcastle fans get the chance to reacquaint themselves with their hero ex-chief Big Sam as they visit Everton.

Morning guys! I’m thinking of making some changes here. Might have to go early as well. One free transfer, no chips and nothing in the bank. I want Jesus and Sterling.
    A) Jesus in for Lukaku
    B) Jesus in for Lukaku and Sterling in for Mahrez
    C) Jesus, Sterling and King in for Lukaku, Willian and Kenedy
    D) Jesus, Sterling and Naughton in for Lukaku, Willian and Christenson

Smash – id keep an eye on Willian, he stormed down the tunnel yesterday meaning he was pissed off or went off due to a knock. Bringing Sterling in for him may not be a bad shout.

I am in the same boat as you in that Ive Mahrez, Willian and Lukaku with no city attacking cover, and Lukaku to Jesus makes the most sense with the FT, but id hold fire as long as you can before the price rise forces your hand.

      • Smash10 says:

Yeah I’m pretty worried about Willian ideally I want rid. I don’t really want him for the double as there’s better options out there. That’s why I like option C but it’s a -8. Hoping to hold off

        • superstruggler says:

Swansea away is a decent fixture for Chelsea if he gets gametime – Chelsea have to win to have any chance of top 4 and id expect Swansea to have a go at home given the hammering in the Ethiad. I might hold him this week and just do Lukaku to Jesus.

Guys any thoughts on this wc team for 36 and then bb for 37?
I may have to change mc carthy to hart.. depending on prices. Thanks and sorry for being a pain.

3 weeks ago I swithched Smalling for Bailly as , so was said, he was the nailed on Defender and back after injury. The result a disaster as he has not played any of the games and I guess he has lost me about 40pts – anyone know why he has not played and/or when he may return before I boot him out the back door!

Wow, I’ve finally had a few minutes and went all the way through the chats on this article. Sorry me interesting things to glean for my WC from the conversations! Thanks all!
Here is my first attempt. I’m a sucker for Big sandy on a DGW, but probably unwarranted…
    What needs changing? Who’s missing?

Make that “some interesting things” and “Big Andy”…

      Brookyboy says:

Hey Pancho, i wouldnt be going anywhere near Carrol on a dgw,the scars still havent healed from his Tc fail 2 years ago !! Maybe switch him out for Ayew ? I’d take De gea over Lloris and Monreal is dependent on how far Arsenal go in Europe but the rezt looks great !

      • Mitro says:

        Still gives me nightmares!!!

      • Pancho says:

Brooke, I hear you on Carrol. I have him the armband for that DGW… *shudder*
I’ve gone with Loris over DDG because of GW 36 matchups. So I’m looking at it as a 3-match comparison instead of just 2. That make sense?
That’s a good point on Monreal. Should I double on United defensive cover? Or even triple?

        • inittowinit says:

If Utd had those games at home a triple up would be ideal but they’re a bit more leaky away. Something like 8 in 17 conceded at home but 18 in 17 away. Still not the worst of course!

Ayew is a better shout than Carroll. Mainly because he actually plays smile

        • Pancho says:

I was thinking that same thing on United being away. I’m just not sure who else has a better chance of CSs though. What could I do in attack with those extra funds? Maybe Jones -> Fernandez and Ramsey -> Pogba?

        • inittowinit says:

Not convinced on Pogba. I didn’t see the semi but I saw the West Brom game and he was dreadful.

        • inittowinit says:

He was particularly bad. How’d he play in the semi?

Anyone thinking Kane for capo for GW36?
