Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 8
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 8. It’s an early start this GW with a Friday kick-off and as ever with these things we hope you don’t join us for Live Match Chat with that sinking feeling of ‘why on earth have they posted Live Match Chat on a Friday night…’. And if you do (looking at you Raz!), don’t say we didn’t try to remind you as it was posted on each and every article this week at some point. Whether you made it in tact or not let’s crack on with the games.
Brighton have the early pleasure of a very much in-form West Ham coming to town on Friday evening. Saturday then sees us with five 3pm games beginning with a resurgent Burnley hoping to build on momentum at home to a struggling Huddersfield. Palace host Wolves in what should be an entertaining and close encounter, as should Leicester vs Everton. Spurs host Cardiff in what should by rights be a shellacking, or at least any Kane captainers will hope to be the case. Watford vs Bournemouth looks another one that is hard to call. Saturday evening may be the straw that finally breaks Jose’s back, and oh the irony if it is indeed Rafa who gets to waft it. Some stories you just can’t write… #here’s hoping
Sunday sees three games beginning with Mitro testing out Arsenal’s defensive resolve, followed by Saints trying and (probably) failing to blunt Hazard and co. Then it’s the game of the week at 4:30pm as Pep tries to exorcise his one real demon in English football thus far: Klopp.

Anyone else bringing in laca/PEA for Kane once the IB is over?
Nah not for me. If one of them gets injured then yes but they still seem to share game time a bit
Fair point smash I suspect against tougher opponents one of them will get benched. Laca does look good though
I think Auba was only on the bench this week because he was recovering from an illness which made him miss the midweek game, otherwise both of them do usually start together
I’m leaning more towards Leicester in Vardy and Liverpool attackers.
Having not seen the game today I’m not sure if the Fulham carnage was Arsenal brilliance or Fulham being hopeless, or the former making the latter happen, or whatever.
Arsenal’s fixtures are ok. It’s a thought. Are you going for that?
Yeah thinking either one of them and probably going to move alonso on for Mendy. Need to free up some cash to deal with zaha or mitro should they blank again.
Thanks for the advice guys. Happy with 73 points. Brought in kane for aguero for -4 which was disappointing but still maintain it was the right move but didn’t pay off. Now just to decide whether to keep him in…
Spurs have some pretty tricky fixtures and the two looming home games are tough ones. Maybe once their other big hitters return from injury Kane will become a better option. I’m not sure.
I agree about it being the logical move. On paper he looked the best bet this week.
Always worth a shot. 3 of the next 4 Man City games are at home so Kun back in wouldn’t really be much of a gamble.
Not in the slightest. I’m thinking about Sterling instead of Kun but I daresay will get the latter in.
I’d still much prefer Aguero over Sterling
Hi guys,
Poor week for me courtesy Spurs. Thinking of using my WC. Both the GKs, Ings,Kane,Lamela,Pereyra, Boly for Doherty,no Liverpool attackers are making me sway towards a WC. Also likes of Doherty,Laca, Richarlison, etc are rising whom I’m monitoring.
Would you guys WC with this team?
I find it quite hard to say yes or no to that question. My team was in worse shape with injuries, plus it was slightly off-key, which is why I went for it. You may get away with it but I’d be anxious owning so few City and Liverpool players. And Spurs have key players injured (at the moment) and not the easiest run of fixtures.
Getting Liverpool and Man players in seems the logical move, assuming Liverpool get clicking again. They have the perfect fixtures to get clicking.
Ultimately it’s for you to decide.
Cheers Kralin for the reply. I think there are quite a few players I want in the mid term that I don’t have. Will give it some more thought
A good week for me at last with 85, largely due to captain Haz and Auba. Before today I was planning to do Auba > Wilson and Moura > Sterling, but after Auba’s 15 points as a sub today and Sterling’s blank, as well as Arsenal’s form, I’m not sure that’s a good move anymore. What would you recommend I do this week? Thinking midfield transfers, namely shipping out Moura and Peyrera should be my priority. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance
Nothing! We have 2 weeks off so just relax and revist in 10 days!! Great score by the way!
Holebas to Bennett (Wolves). Then if you can afford it, eventually Pereyra to Richarlison of Madison
Well, that was effing dreadful. Down to about 1.1 million in rank and honestly have no idea what to do for the next gameweek. Thankfully I have two weeks to think up another bad move!
Hey hun! PM me! Literally! We’ll work through this situation together!!
Haha, thanks hun <3
Rosco can you PM me too please? We need to have a PM convo about going on site and encouraging people to PM each other instead.
sure thing, can you PM first about ‘in Jokes’ between 2 people 😉
Ouch Docherty on the bench is harsh
Mate, it came to something when each time today’s line ups came out, I hoped one of my starting XI had been rotated!
Yeah I bet.
Get some city and arsenal coverage in your team.
Thinking Shaw and Kane out for Aguero and Mandy, but will wait for the internationals to be played.
*Mendy!
Yeah makes sense
Sounds good to me.
I will either bring in kun/laca and Mendy in.
Evening people. I need to get shot of Pereyra now and I have 0.3 itb which gives me 6.5 for a replacement. Do I go Fraser, Gudmundsson or Knockaert? Thanks all and enjoy the last few hours of the weekend
Fraser would be short term, only for the next 2 games. Gudmundson has tough games so I’d avoid him and as for Knockaert, despite the great games coming up for him, I’m not convinced by the player himself. Gross would be a better choice from their team but doubt he’s under 6.5.
Go Fraser or maybe Brooks who’s only 5m
Cheers Kunal.
Fraser for me. Bournemouth, eh. When they’re not letting in 4 they’re scoring 4.
Cheers guys for the feedback
Fraser, could make a profit on him as well in a couple of weeks
hope u had a good 1 neilos
Hey Eresh. Just trying to sort my son out! Bedtime stories etc. How are you buddy? I ended up with 65 which better than I expected. How did you get on? I switched out Pereyra to Fraser last night.
