Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 8

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 8. It’s an early start this GW with a Friday kick-off and as ever with these things we hope you don’t join us for Live Match Chat with that sinking feeling of ‘why on earth have they posted Live Match Chat on a Friday night…’. And if you do (looking at you Raz!), don’t say we didn’t try to remind you as it was posted on each and every article this week at some point. Whether you made it in tact or not let’s crack on with the games.

Brighton have the early pleasure of a very much in-form West Ham coming to town on Friday evening. Saturday then sees us with five 3pm games beginning with a resurgent Burnley hoping to build on momentum at home to a struggling Huddersfield. Palace host Wolves in what should be an entertaining and close encounter, as should Leicester vs Everton. Spurs host Cardiff in what should by rights be a shellacking, or at least any Kane captainers will hope to be the case. Watford vs Bournemouth looks another one that is hard to call. Saturday evening may be the straw that finally breaks Jose’s back, and oh the irony if it is indeed Rafa who gets to waft it. Some stories you just can’t write… #here’s hoping

Sunday sees three games beginning with Mitro testing out Arsenal’s defensive resolve, followed by Saints trying and (probably) failing to blunt Hazard and co. Then it’s the game of the week at 4:30pm as Pep tries to exorcise his one real demon in English football thus far: Klopp.

Once again My Rules Frenchie team completely smashed my normal team.
Hopefully the wildcard will fix that! But I’m not even sure abour it, if Laca and Auba continue to score like this, I had no plan to bring them so far!

Haha I TC Kane in my rules team!! Think I’ll be giving up on that team right about now!!

      • inittowinit says:

You were very close to doing it on your main team too until you got some sense knocked into you?! Or was it a PM that did it?

        • Rosco says:

I knew everyone would say not to so I wasn’t looking for validation, but then I just thought of how much fun the DGWs are and I’d feel I was missing out if I didn’t have it!

        • eresh12 says:

your double bmouth has done u good rosco

        • Rosco says:

Yeah it’s been a funny season with them! Started the season with King and WC Wilson in fir him and their output flipped and not in my favour!! I’ll keep Wilson for the time being but I’m aware their fixtures turn soon! Fraser I may keep, at £5.6 ( what I paid) he is delivering value that allows better players elsewhere. Although there are a few players around that who may tempt me in a few weeks if I don’t have other fires to put out!

        • eresh12 says:

wilson still scoring so yeah keep him around for a few weeks. fraser a bit quiet last few weeks but im sure he will return better in the next few weeks.

        • Rosco says:

I think with Fraser you have to look at the bigger picture, at his current price he has offered better value that any other midfielder, given that I only paid £5.6 for him that’s even better! He’s currently on 6pts per GW so at his price that’s good enough to keep for now!

        • eresh12 says:

good point. thats a good way to analyze it mate.

        • Rosco says:

Just checked and there are only 4 outfield players that have been better value over the season ( Alonso, Doherty, Jonny and Boly). That said if he has tricky fixtures it’s knowing when to bench / move on!

        • eresh12 says:

their fixtures get tough from GW11. u can play ings in front and go 4-3-3
