Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 8
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 8. It’s an early start this GW with a Friday kick-off and as ever with these things we hope you don’t join us for Live Match Chat with that sinking feeling of ‘why on earth have they posted Live Match Chat on a Friday night…’. And if you do (looking at you Raz!), don’t say we didn’t try to remind you as it was posted on each and every article this week at some point. Whether you made it in tact or not let’s crack on with the games.
Brighton have the early pleasure of a very much in-form West Ham coming to town on Friday evening. Saturday then sees us with five 3pm games beginning with a resurgent Burnley hoping to build on momentum at home to a struggling Huddersfield. Palace host Wolves in what should be an entertaining and close encounter, as should Leicester vs Everton. Spurs host Cardiff in what should by rights be a shellacking, or at least any Kane captainers will hope to be the case. Watford vs Bournemouth looks another one that is hard to call. Saturday evening may be the straw that finally breaks Jose’s back, and oh the irony if it is indeed Rafa who gets to waft it. Some stories you just can’t write… #here’s hoping
Sunday sees three games beginning with Mitro testing out Arsenal’s defensive resolve, followed by Saints trying and (probably) failing to blunt Hazard and co. Then it’s the game of the week at 4:30pm as Pep tries to exorcise his one real demon in English football thus far: Klopp.

My bad- will get it sorted!
To wildcard or not? I kept faith with my Liverpool players for this run of 3 fixtures so they’re staying put. Hazard looks essential and not having him is killing my rank.I can do Silva Pedro Fraser to hazard knockeart 4.4 mid (obiang probably) for a -4.
I would not WC. I would keep Fraser and downgrade Mendy to Dunk/Duffy instead
Definitely wouldn’t WC. I love Silva as a player but not for fantasy. I’d lose him, Pedro and maybe Mendy. Keep Fraser.
Thanks guys. Looking at doing this.
I would be looking at getting a 4.5 or 4.4m mid to stick on the bench each week. The 1.1m could be used to upgrade Ings at some point.
Not doing any transfers if any at all but should I replace Mitrovic with Arnautovic or keep the faith.
Keep the faith. Car, bou, Hud, sou in the next 5 game weeks.
I’d keep Mitro for the next 3 gameweeks based on fixtures.
It’s the defence that’s the problem, not the attack. Every season under Slavisa we’ve started pretty slowly and it usually takes one game to kick us into gear. I’m hoping Cardiff will be that game.
I’m thinking about Mitrovic for the wildcard side, lured in by the fixtures. But I have slight reservations. The Cottagers are getting battered a bit and while their fixtures look good you’d think other sides will enjoy their open door policy. Will Mitrovic be left stranded as the rest of the team scrambles around?
It’s a move I’ll be dithering about for days.
What a penalty!

You are scoring a penalty, score it with grace. Dont make the keeper feel like shit.
Much as it was spectacular, I’d have taken him off, respect and all that.
I’d sub him immediately if I were in charge.
I disagree with you guys. It was an amazing penalty. Ok, it looked like he was taking the piss a bit but what a clever way to distract the keeper! Also he was taking a chance of looking silly himself if it went wrong! Credit where its due that was pretty good
Not denying it’s very athletic but surely there’s a time and a place? Professionalism as truly murdered any sporting grace these days.
Hazard to Madrid, us Madrid fans just want what is best for him. That’s all. 😉
What a bout the great Sam Vokes? I’m sure he could do a better job for you than Benzema…
Nah, Glen Murray, next Galatico
Could anyone advocate doing Pereyra to Richarlison tonight? My thinking goes:
Pros – I reckon Richarlison will rise at least twice over the break
Cons – Reasonable Watford fixtures + international breaks are always treacherous
1 FT £0.6 ITB
Is it still doable after the rises? I think I’d wait regardless though, looks / feels like a good majority of that starting 11 will be playing in the IB in some fashion or other.
I wouldn’t do it, if he goes up and you can’t afford him so be it and buy someone else! Far too many things could happen / go wrong in the next 2 weeks!
