Fantasy Premier League £500 Regulars League 2019/20

Hello everyone and welcome back to the FF247 Regulars League(s).

The purpose of this article is so that our Regulars League has a permanent home for reference points throughout the season such as cup draws and the like. It is permanently linked on our Hot Topics just above the latest comments.

As usual we will have a Regulars Classic League and we also have H2H leagues with promotion and relegation as well as a Regulars Cup starting in January.

We do have a main FF247 league and that is open to every man/woman and their dog. There is no autolink facility available from FPL yet but if you wish to join that one, for which there will also be a prize, the code is;

FF247 Main Site League – ikkny1 Which is almost kinky…

The Regulars League is a bit more selective. You have to be a member of FF247 and you have to post comments in the community here on a regular enough basis to be easily recognisable, and posting is monitored by the way.

Its not hard to join, e-mail me (Elle) at the address below and leave these details for me.
1- Your site user name.
2- Your real name.
3- Your team name from last season and new team name if it has changed. New members, just your team name.

These leagues are free to join but you do need to mail me. Deadline is midnight on the 6th August for the H2H leagues as I’ll need time to promote people if we have drop-outs. The Classic Regulars League can remain open for longer. Get mailing folks :- elleffcee@gmail.com

All we ask is that if you enter the league please keep the league code to yourself and don’t share it with friends and family who don’t frequent the site. It’s a community only league and we would like to keep it that way.

Forward line looks really weak would downgrade Taa or Robo and upgrade a mid or forward

Is the Maguire pick based on him moving?

Considering that it looks like a 5 at the back, I be a little concerned with counting on Leicester and Cherry clean sheets early on with their fixtures. I know Bournemouth have favourable ones GW 1 and 2, but after that they get tricky. Having said that, you could be thinking about moving Ake by GW3 or playing an early wildcard. I like all 3 mids and while your strike force is cheap, they should provide great value.

Is Zaha a better option at Palace or Arsenal?

Hey Smash! I would argue he is a very good option either way

At Palace he is the main man and is very creative. Also with VAR he may (or may not) get even more pens.

At Arsenal whilst he may not be the main man, he may be found by his teammates in attacking positions for frequently. The attackers he plays with should also be able to put away the chances he creates at a better rate than those at Palace

Either way, he is in my team

I have to say Arsenal although by the slightest of margins… Maybe purely because here’s to hoping, after all he wasn’t that great at Palace, started the season with him and it didn’t go good, in reality it will be like with all the other players too, you need to have him at the right time smile

My first shot. Maybe a shock at not having 2liv defence but I like variety

ps probably too much value on the bench to start also but I plan to play BB early. It was useless late last season.

      • Kralin says:

I’d caution letting the uselessness – which is relative – of it in a previous season put you off in the following year. It’s a good one to have up your sleeve.

Bloody hell the game has opened?!?!? 😀

      • Kralin says:

No, it’s all a dream brought on by listening to The Inner Mounting Flame too many times.

        • Zed Leppelin says:

I always preferred Between Nothingness and Eternity, guess that describes this summer break quite well too, glad it’s over now (kind of)

        • Kralin says:

In terms of keeping that particular flame burning, I’m partial to contemporary outfit Elephant9.

It’s as if that era never ended (maybe it never did).

      Robertson 7.0m… Oh my…

I like some of your players, not sold on some yet, pre-season could change that.

Sheffield was the lowest scoring team of the 3 promoted teams and was the best defensive side along with Boro in the Championship, so my guess is that they will be looking for 1-0 scrapers. El Ghazi could be a decent punt, but I wait their fixtures out a bit.

An early (I assume pre-WC) BB team is obviously going to look a bit different to teams (like my current draft) who have absolute dog turd on the bench.

I agree with Ryan, Kelly, Coleman, Robbo, Mendy, Salah, De Bruyne and Kane (I have them too!) but I’m not convinced Pedro is the best £7m MID out there. There’s a lot of love out there for Arnie, but with City then two aways I’m thinking he’s more a GW4 player for me (if Rondon doesn’t join and steal his limelight).
