Fantasy Premier League Fixtures 2022/23
It may only be June still, and most of us haven’t even contemplated our summer holidays yet, but the Premier League have released the fixture schedule for the upcoming 2022/23 season. As we ourselves here at FF247 Towers are taking an extended and well deserved break we shall proffer no insight at this stage but we will be back in due course with our usual Fixture Tracker (completed and taken seriously, see below for our effort at it so far…) and then as the season approaches we shall take a closer look at the fixtures in more detail with our Fixtures Analysis articles. For now this is simply a placeholder and an opportunity for folk to begin discussing the season ahead in the comments below, should they wish to do so.
FPL FIXTURE TRACKER
Here’s that all important Fixture Tracker itself…

FIXTURE TRACKER LINK
As for the season itself all you really need to know at this stage is that it begins on Friday August 5th at 8pm (most likely with an FPL deadline of 6.30pm). Which is a week earlier than usual, and that is because we will have a massive mid-season break of about 6 weeks due to the World Cup. The break begins after GW16 on November 14th. We then resume, rather bizzarely and abruptly, on Boxing Day, but that’s a discussion and an issue for another day!

First year in the history of me playing the game, . Around 15 years I really have no interest in a 4.0 defender. Oh times have changed
Stone Frog
+1. 18th year for me and indeed also think I will pass on a 4.0 def this year for the first time I can remember. 5 at the back looks good value.

Same here.
Reg83
I am in 13th year.. I am getting Neco or Brandon Williams at 4.0 if they get transferred to Nottingham or somewhere else
Gear
Yep, at the moment I’ve not even got a 4.5m! I remember never putting any money into defence and just loading up of forwards. Oh how times have changed for me…
bees393
Why is Perisic so popular? Isn’t he a bit long in the tooth to be a regular starter?
Smash
Spurs wing back last season under Conte had the highest xGI rate for defenders last season. How many points Perisic would’ve got last season:
8 goals, 7 assists
16 cleans (inc 5 where they conceded post sub)
31 games >60, 3 <60
197pts pre bonus. His bonus would easily been another 30pts.
Only Son and Salah would’ve been in his league. 5.5m.
Ludinator15
He was Inter Milan’s player of the season last season, and played most of his games as a wing back. He chipped in with a few goals
And assists.
bees393
Wow…thanks guys. Had no idea. May have to fit him in.
Smash
Age is some risk when it comes to mins. I’m sure he’s come to play though and as long as he’s on the pitch he could be really explosive
Smash
However this helps his cause too
ODT
This is great information. Thanks Smash!
Ludinator15
This is my team so far.
Smash
Too much money on the bench I think unless you are using BB in week one. I don’t think Stones is first choice either

100%

Just how nailed is Tomiyasu?
Smash
Probably fine. Bellerin is back but not sure if they plan to keep him.
bees393
Thanks Smash.

Hi Gang,
How are the first, second or even third draft squads progressing?
First Post of the new season.
Looking like Trent, James, Cancelo, Salah, Hartland and Jesus are template.
Happy tinkering.

Oops Haaland.
bees393
Jesus and Perisic inches closer by the minute.
ODT
Tinkering some here and there with a team. I think this is v1.2.4….anyways thoughts on this one?
Stone Frog
Not sure I could handle the Mbeumo woodwork challenge again, lol. Plenty of time for things to change, but I think I would prefer James/Chillwell over Mbuemo or Cancelo over Mitrovic. I think 2 strikers are enough.
ODT
Fair points! Thanks.
Reg83
Nice. FInally a team with Son & Salah. If one of them not firing like they should for their price u can downgrade them to a 8m & upgrade dewsbury to a 8m mid.
ODT
Cheers. That was along the lines I was thinking. And if they fire out the gate and Haaland doesn’t he can easily be swapped for Kane or some other striker.
