FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 24

Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 24. Hmmm… A 4th consecutive red arrow. Our worst run of the season. Crap. This is all despite picking up 66pts which was actually 8pts better than the average. It’s tough at the top. Although we’re not anywhere near the top! We’ve dropped outside the top 250k.

Last week’s transfers didn’t quite go to plan. Jesse picked up a rather pathetic 2pts while despite the Liverpool v City game being a 7 goal thriller, Aguero registered just 5pts. However, Kun does face Newcastle this week so he will have the opportunity to make up for it.

Elsewhere, our defence racked up a pitiful 5pts. Our star performer was Arnautovic with 16pts. Salah did what Salah does. And Harry delivered as our captain.

But that’s enough woe for one week… onto this week’s comeback!!

Last weeks result…

This weeks transfer…
We had 1 FT and £0.4m in the bank. After this weeks votes were cast we now have 2 FT’s and £0.4m in the bank for next week! You were warned it was going to be a boring article on the previous chats and we always aim to deliver!

It just lands like this sometimes and we are but normal fantasy managers after all and we aren’t going to make transfers just for the sake it and certainly not just to make an article more ‘interesting’. We play it for real, just as you do, and so if it makes sense to save, then we save.

Looking at our team the keeper slot is actually the only real weak spot this week, but even then the only real alternative was to bring in Pickford for Begovic and there’s no guarantee that works out, plus the other two were picked specifically because they rotate nicely. Apart from this week!

The team in full

Our captain is Mo Salah
And we own Kane and Aguero…

Ok, so maybe not as boring as we made out then.

To say this was split and close would probably be an understatement.

This is how we roll – 5 people vote. Each votes on a Captain and a Vice-Captain.

Out of 10 such votes there were, as you’d expect, only 3 candidates and they got in total-

Salah – 4 votes
Kane – 4 votes
Kun – 2 votes

Crucially Salah got 3 Captain ones, to Kun’s 2 and Kane surprisingly got zero. Kane was the most picked Vice (4 times).

It’s probably a similarly close decision to that which many will make a last minute call on before the deadline. There are stats aplenty, and many have been quoted on site last night and in the articles prior to this, to suggest which one is the best pick. That’s not our job, our Captain Picks article is there for that. Our job is simply to tell you what our panel of 5 landed on after their guts were asked how they were feeling. They felt Mo Salah…

Good afternoon all, I have 0.4 ITB & 1 FT left. I am confused about the following transfer plans:

    1. Eriksen to Mahrez/Son/Arnautovic/Mane/Alli
    2. Eriksen + Lingard to KDB + Albrighton or Mahrez + Arnautovic (-4 hit)
    3. Allen + Quaner to Roque Mesa + Wilson (-4 hit)
    4. Use WC
    5. Save FT and do mini surgery next gw

Any suggestion regarding the team would be very much appreciated.

Morning Hatter. That team really could explode for you this week. Fingers crossed. I hope the budget strike force pays off. Price you pay for premiums galore everywhere else!

      Smash10 says:

That’s a nice differential side . Not sure about Cresswell and Karius though

      • MadHatter says:

Karius or Foster? Gotta be Karius and Cresswell vs who at that price? At least he takes corners etc

        • Smash10 says:

5.1 you can pretty much get Smalling for Cresswell or get Shaw and you have Adrian in there anyway. I just have a problem with Karius I just think he’s so bad and should not even be playing premier league football let alone for Liverpool. No problem with Liverpool defensive coverage

        • AT says:

Given how premium your 3-back is, I would probably downgrade Cresswell to a cheaper player tbh. Kenny likely to lose his spot to Coleman soon. What about Cuco? Can’t say I know how nailed he is though.

        • Smash10 says:

I love Mane in there I think that’s a great differential pick

        • MadHatter says:

I haven’t got Kenny and sometimes I’ll be playing a back 4 or 5 so I need definite players which Shaw isn’t and not got enough for smalling plus WH fixtures are good.

        • AT says:

I meant Kenny/Cuco as a replacement for Cresswell! Hadn’t clocked what you had in mind for formation etc. though, so I actually think you’re already several steps ahead of me in planning for the future with this. GL this week, team is looking strong. Just hope for Kane to have one of those off days haha.

        • Smash10 says:

West Ham have not kept that many clean sheets and Cuco Martina can’t be guaranteed to play due to ability ask any Everton fan. I like the team though so good luck

It’s a weird one – I’ve been on the ascendancy lately but my team isn’t that different from yours. I’d probably have binned Shaqiri. Has he done anything of late?

    Morning all,

Already got KDB in for Eriksen, so am I good to go?

    Smash10 says:

This is how I’m going. On a -4 but wanted Alonso. Silva is a bit of a risk but he should be fresh at least. Certainly fearing Aguero but did not want to mess up the balance
