Welcome to FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW10. Slowly, slowly catchy monkey. Another small green arrow but again it is progress so as ever we shall take it. We managed a relatively acceptable 46 points last week, 3 above the overall average and 4 above that of the top 10k. it meant a rise of about 16k up to 104k overall and leaves us on 555 points.
Truth be told only three of our players managed to get more than three actual points, which whilst disappointing was very representative of the scene across the board. Mendy and Robertson got 18 between then and Captain Kun got his now seemingly customary 1 goal, 12 points and 65 minute appearance! There’s really not a lot else to report on so let’s move onto this week’s meeting and see what (inevitable) skulduggery occurred this time… We had 1FT to play with and a sizeable bank of £2.7m.

Whilst we do enjoy a good debate / argument sometimes it’s simply a relief to come to a quick and easy agreement and that’s what happened this week….
With Mo Salah seemingly coming back to life gradually and with Cardiff at home on this weeks menu he seemed the obvious target. Now ok it only seemed like yesterday that we were more than happy to dispense with Mo but we are neither too proud nor too stupid to recognise when a player is turning a corner and likewise that we should U-turn in tandem. And so getting him back was the priority but the how was a bit more difficult, at least without a hit, as the only player we could sell straight for him was Hazard. Which isn’t massively preferable given that he plays a Burnley team who just gave up 5 away at City. The fact that Burnley are at home dilutes that impact somewhat though. Salah having both Cardiff and Fulham at home in 2 of his next 3 does seem like either (*delete as applicable) a no-brainer or a hide behind a big couch thing.
As for the voting we had 3 immediate definites, 1 querying alternatives but at the same time admitting that he was comfortable enough knowing he already owned him and 1 suggesting Vardy to Firmino as another option.
We shall probably look at how to engineer Hazard back in there alongside Salah in the coming weeks but for now we feel that this is our best option, especially as we will almost certainly captain him both this week and against Fulham, as will a good majority of other managers!

We would repeat what we said two weeks back when we bought Kane with the intention of captaining him against Cardiff at home but we don’t want to curse this one too!
Should Salah fail to appear for some reason then Jamie Vardy will be our trump card.*

I was about to intro it by saying we had two key elements missing from our now traditional posting of this but danny pitched up at the last minute to save face on one of them!
The other is the lack of a Kralin drum roll but I rather suspect he’s off on his half term jollies so we shall crack on regardless even in the face of such extreme adversity…
Surprised the site team haven’t used their WC yet, any thoughts of when that may come into play?
Not had any massive fires to deal with yet vee and the odd hit has been sufficient to deal with any minor ones / specifically wanting certain players in. Rarely an 11 is ever perfect and the one this week certainly isn’t (Moura for starters!) but there’s certainly not enough to warrant a wholesale change there when you consider how many changes there would / wouldn’t actually be to it.
To answer your question, and thank you for it by the way, I’d honestly imagine we will go out as far as possible whilst we can still manage a good looking side until either that becomes untenable due to injuries or suspensions or indeed we get lucky and reach Christmas without any, at which point it will be played to refresh for the second half of the season.
I can’t speak for the other 4 panelists but that’s certainly my own approach usually.
That makes sense I guess, am I right on the participants getting a WC over January too?
You only get 2 – one before GW20 begins (29th Dec) and one after. The second is for DGW’s. That last bit isn’t in the rules though 😉

Due to a lack of time I’ve rather neglected my team over the last two weeks. This has resulted in me having 2 FTs to play with.
Any suggestions on how to use them are welcome. I feel Walcott has to go, any replacement ideas would be great!

If you’re the risk taking type I have another move which could ( probably) go horribly wrong… Pascal Gros is due back and is set to drop to £6.6 tonight, Brighton have some good fixtures …. probably a few weeks too early for this one but you never know!!

Planning to move Ings would be my priority here Gear. Not necessarily this week but almost certainly the next one with the 2 transfers. Find who you want (Murray? 😉 ) and see how that happens in three moves by next week, including this weeks freebie one. Wally out would be preferable but it needs to be with an eye on how Ings leaves.

I’d agree on Walcott to Pereyra, then probably best to roll the other transfer…
Or if you fancy something else… use the 0.4m to upgrade Ings to Jimenez and Mitrovic to Arnautovic. That would make for a very nice line up I reckon. Even just get Arnie and keep Ings for now.

I think Salah had to come in, moreso after last night’s goals.
Am I mad?? I brought in Auba for Kane earlier in the week, as I thought he was going to rise in price and Kane was doing my head in. Now I am seriously regretting and fearing not having Salah.
I’ve got £2.8m ITB and seriously considering Sigurdsson & Arnautovic to Salah & Quaner (-8), or just Hazard to Salah (-4).
My head says/knows this is stupid, but my gut is justifying it. So… Am I mad?!

Whether you do it out not is your call but I would hope Salah would earn you that back with captaincy points.
