Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW19. Sergio took to the boards this week and he couldn’t have put it any better; “Nightmare gameweek for the site team :see-no: “. It may have been his sole contribution this week but at least he was 100% accurate with it! 45 points saw us with 10 less than the overall average. Kane got us a third of our overall points with his 15, the rest averaged 3 each. Enough said. Overall it saw us plunge back down 25,000 odd places to finish in 84,654th.

Last week’s result in full…

We go into GW19 with 1 free transfer and a more than healthy bank balance of £3.2m, but with a wildcard to swing at our issues could this finally be the week….?

This weeks transfer decision(s)
Yes, in short! The wildcard is finally active. The trouble with playing it now is of course rotation, we could make the best team possible and still see half of them benched. It’ll look and feel like egg on the face but we just need to crack on and take it, should it happen. The upside is that we can at least have a passable and active bench to come in for whichever one (or many) of our superstars take a break.

As for the selections themselves we’ve bought into the ‘Ole Revolution’ a fair bit here, threefold in fact. Their fixtures possibly warrant it though. A first home game against Huddersfield certainly does, if nothing else. Son gets a temporary spot for three weeks before he leaves us and Spurs for the Asian Cup in January. The rest is fairly self explanatory. There’s no Hazard, no Arsenal and no Richarlison but that’s not to say we snubbed any of them particularly, we would probably have taken any or all of them but as the saying goes “you can’t have them all”.

Our Captain is Mo Salah
This was fairly close between him and Kane, 3 votes to 2 close, in fact. Both have form and fixture in their favour so the truth is that we are just happy to have both of them, luck will probably decide whether we landed on the correct side of the fence.

Our team in full…

KDB more likely to start the next one I’d imagine Smash. Although I appreciate you are probably asking more long term. Are you WC’ing?

      • Smash says:

Thanks. Yeah prob more long term. Yep on wildcard. Don’t think I’m going to get any extra price rises so think it’s looking like this. I’d prefer Fabianski to Hart but need 0.1. I’d also prefer TAA to Lovren but that’s not happening

        • inittowinit says:

Lovren feels more nailed to be fair, albeit in a less exciting fashion. At least we know he’s fit for starters!

        • Think you can easily solve both issues by downgrading your 5th midfielder.
If you downgrade Rich to Fraser or say Milivojevic, think you should be left with enough to get both Fab & TAA.

        • Smash says:

Thanks HL I don’t think they are worth it that much to ditch Richarlison.

        • Smash says:

Yeah not sure. Sane might be rested next game but might be better for next month: KDB is better long term but is being eased back but once fully fit he will play every game

        • Chipster says:

          Hi Smash

I agree with Dr Lecter that a downgrade of Richarlison could help fund a few improvements.

For example, Richarlison > Camarasa (or similar) would free enough cash for:
          Hart > Fab
          Bednarek > Cedric/Targett
          Lovren > TAA
          Kamara > Ings

          Could be worth considering…

        • DMC says:

          @smash – I wouldn’t downgrade Richarlison either.
One question though, you still have Robbo and Fraser there right? If so, would those two instead of Lovren and Martil grant you more points? I think they would and depending on when you bought them that could allow the Fab move and other moves like upgrade the Bednareks of this life.

      A tricky one…
Until Mendy comes back, Sane is pretty much safe…playing on the left…
I don’t see a direct replacement for him, so I don’t expect him to be heavily rotated…
On the other hand, KDB has played “only” =124mins all season…
      And that says it all.

We can go on forever with in-depth analysis but in short, if I was you – > I would go with Sane (for the next month at least)…

Hi guys, hope your all having a great Xmas!
    I’ve got 2FT’s and £0.1ITB
Was thinking of doing the following moves, may not do all but some at least and would appreciate any help or suggestions. The below would cost me -8!
Laporte, Alonso, Richarlison and Success out for:
    1) Wan Bis, Shaw, Lingard and Rashford (£1.3m left ITB)
    2) Wan Bis, Shaw, Martial and Rashford (£0.7m left ITB)
    3) Shaw, Davies, Lingard and Rashford (£0.1m left ITB)
    4) Shaw, Digne/Lovren, Lingard/Martial and Rashford (£0.1m or £0.2 left ITB)

Laporte, Alonso, Townsend and Success out for:
    5) Shaw, Wan Bis, Lingard and Rashford (£0 left ITB)
    6) Any other suggestions??

    Thanks

      Smash says:

I don’t really like the -8. Laporte/Alonso down to Shaw, Doherty, Lovren. And get an United mid/attacker in for Billing/Success

    • 24.2

      Hi AC Kop

Merry Christmas, sorry this post was missed.

I don’t think you require anything like a -8 transfer move.

Townsend has a decent fixture so I’d leave him.

Balbuena and Dunk I’d sort first. Maybe Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw in (or one of those and roll a transfer).

      • AC Kop says:

        Thanks mate!

I can only afford Wan Bis with your suggestion. Dunk is suspended for the next game and I’m hopeful Balbuena will be back next game if not the following. Wary there may be a few surprises with the likes of Alonso and Robertson at risk of rotation so wanted to counter some of these. Also gut feeling United will knock a few past Huddersfield too??

        The joys of FPL hey
