Welcome to FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW27.

“Sacked in the morning, you’re getting sacked in the morning”

….the home crowd sang as we suffered another red arrow dropping from 106,713 to 120,867 after scoring 58pts in GW26. At least we beat the average… by 2pts. In fairness to the crowd they are probably frustrated that we sold the goal-scoring Lundstram for Stephens. The dreaded vote of confidence was delivered from the board this week – never a good sign. We were again indebted to our Liverpool defenders, Grealish and Ings to steady the ship while KDB weighed in with 14pts late on. Capo Salah failed, while Vardy and Maddison look horribly out of form but have excellent fixtures on the horizon. Tough decisions will need to be made. Let’s see what the committee decided for this week…

Our GW26 Result…

Our GW27 Transfer(s)
…well frankly they bottled it and saved the free transfer, most likely scared of selling someone who is bound to deliver a brace at the weekend! In all fairness the team looks ok for this weekend (famous last words) so the logic is understandable, although the loyalty to the Leicester boys may prove ill-founded. Two free transfers ahead of BGW28 should also be an advantage.

To confirm then we have HELD our transfer.

Captain – Mo Salah
Mo Salah wears the armband again with the hope that he will destroy West Ham. Just liked we hoped he’d destroy Norwich last week. TAA is the vice-captain.

    Hi all,

A couple of thoughts. Arsenal won at Olympiacos last night and they look like going through to the last 16 of the Europa league very likely so they won’t be able to rearrange their postponed Man City match in GW29.

They play Pompey in the next round of the FA Cup. Pompey are on a roll having won our last 7 League and FA Cup matches up home and have W12 D3 L0 out of last 15. However, we have already played 46 matches this seasons and are still in 3 competitions with arguably the FA Cup the lowest priority.
We have been playing 2 matches per week for the last month and now play 4 matches in 10 days. League matches on Sat, Tues and Fri before hosting Arsenal on Monday before a big league match on Sat.
In short Arsenal will be a jolly. I can see us resting players and Arsenal going through comfortably.

That would mean another blank for Arsenal in GW31. Then in GW34 Arsenal and due to play Leicester on the same day as the FA Cup semi finals. Leicester have Birmingham at home in the Cup and look favourites to go through. So there’s a good chance that Arsenal will have a third blank GW with either Leicester or Arsenal or both making it to the semi finals.
When will they likely play the DGWs? If Arsenal keep progressing in the Europa league maybe GW34, 36 and 37. They may even have a TGW in 37.

Tl;dr Keep your eyes on Arsenal’s matches and if you’re playing a WC this GW Leno/Pope looks like a good GK rotation.
