FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW37

Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW37. No sooner had we made giant strides into the top 100k after a run of 9 successive rises, our world and ranking came crashing back down. We scored 42, net 38 – below average and we slumped down to 87k. We’re not massively surprised as we all took a look at our team post Free Hit and cringed. Our only City player was not Sterling, or Jesus, or Sane. Nope we had Gundogan. And we didn’t even play him. Our best success was at the back with clean sheets from Dunk and our Burnley duo. Kane with a Monday night tap-in was our only goal of the week. Yep, it was that bad that even Captain Salah blanked.

We move onto this week – the big double and hope our luck changes. Some decent City coverage would help…..

Last Week’s Result –

Let’s go and see what we have decided to do this week…

This Weeks Transfers –
Sold Vardy, Salah and Bailly & Bought Jesus, Sterling and Chambers

Selling Murray was our initial priority, as we don’t feel he will do anything this week, until it became clear that doing so meant that the replacements suggested were all a bit sub standard as a result. Selling Vardy gave us a bit more scope. But still not quite enough scope to reach our intended targets of Jesus and Sterling. And so reluctantly, sort of, Salah came in to our firing line. Is it possible to say that a 43 goal, multiple player of the year winner has looked a bit off the pace in his last two games and may bomb again this week? That’s not to say he won’t suddenly go bang again against Chelsea, he may well do, but we were scratching around for any small reason to sell him to aid our other desired transfers this week!

Jesus and Sterling need little explanation, just take one look at their fixtures and form. We just need Pep to play ball now and start them both!

Chambers fell in to our lap, much as Arsenal did in to Simeone’s. We were already debating a move for the much more expensive Monreal in a different combination of transfers and then Koscielny got stretchered off and low and behold a cheap route into the Arsenal defence presented itself. Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth and all that…

The Team In Full…

Triple Captain Time! – Harry Kane
We are on our Triple Captain this week and the voting was close. Although, strangely, young Raheem wasn’t involved! We expected a split vote between him, Jesus and Kane and yet Jesus and Kane got all the votes between them. It was so close in fact that the deciding vote was cast by proxy by someone who didn’t even know the vote was occurring and was almost certainly asleep at the time! We won’t bore you with the details but suffice to say we’ve known him for 10 years, to say he’s risk averse would be an understatement, and he captains Kane more than Kane would captain himself.

The truth is that there is no clear cut candidate this week. All 3 could stake a legitimate claim and as we all know the correct answer will probably end up being some random player who nobody expected. Probably Glenn Murray knowing our luck!

Hello All! Played WC last week and planned to save my FT so I have 2 for next week, but is there something to do here? Here are the 3 players I’m not excited about and what I’d have to spend on a replacement:
    Chillwell (4.5) – Lingard (6.1) – Kennedy (4.9)
Good options for any of them or hold?
Thanks all for the articles, banter, advice, and comradery!

Afternoon guys, sorry I haven’t been around much this week it hopefully by Monday I’ll be fighting fit again.

How is everyone’s DGW plans going? I will be leaving my team like this I think but should I TC Jesus or Kane? Have a sneaky feeling WBA and this golden boot shite could hinder Kane a little bit.

Dont really fancy Murray to get anything out of those 2 games tbh, but apart from that team looks good.

Im kind of with you on the Kane thing, he hasnt looked properly fit & Jesus has got 2 cracking games.

      • Matt says:

Neither do I but I screwed up by doing Vardy and Willian to Kane and Gudmundsson because I forgot Burnley didn’t have a DGW. I’ve made a -8 already as I also did Dunk to Naughton. Do you think I should do another hit and get rid of Murray??

As for Kane he’s just being really selfish as of late and it seems to be harming the Spurs team. They don’t like like a unit more like 10 players trying to get the ball to Kane for him to score.

      Matt

Not sure what was up mate but I hope you begin to feel better soon.

Your team looks set and it seems to me that you’re answering your own TC question, so I would rule out Kane from the equation. Of the City boys I would go Sterling personally.

      • Matt says:

Cheers mate. They are letting me out today so obviously not sick enough to be in a hospital anymore :hippo:

That’s what I was thinking I just needed someone to say it straight to me. I’m actually leaning towards Jesus because Sterling has competition in B.Silva, Gundogan, D.Silva, Sane, KDB etc etc whereas Jesus doesn’t have any competition with Aguero out but I will have a think.

      Mr Bean says:

Golden Boot shite lead to him scoring 7/8 in 3 games to finish last season.

Granted he’s been nowhere near his best but neither has Jesus to be honest – anybody’s guess who actually steps up this gameweek. Think i’ll stick with Kane because it was the plan all along but I don’t have full confidence it that decision.

      • Matt says:

Oh I completely get that side of the argument but last year it was more surprising that he scored the 7/8 goals this year he is actively trying to chase Salah so all the pressure is on him.

I’m leading my ML and my nearest rival has no chips left so I think I can take a bit of a risk… right?

    Afternoon all.

Really struggling on what to do this week. Currently have this with 1.2 itb and no chips left.

Thinking christianson & gross to Van de hoorn and arnie for a -4. Unsure about willian so could also do Willian to pogba as Well.

    Thoughts

    Cheers

      Matt says:

What about a -8 and do Christensen, GroS, Willian and Vardy to VDH, Arnie, Sanchez and JAYEW? Does that work?

      • hammers says:

That works out exactly it would be for a -12 though as i only have 1FT.

hmmmmm youve got me thinking now Matt. I dont know if i should thank you or not.

Its basically do i fancy Sanchez, & ayew to score 4 or more points than Vardy & Pogba.

        What do you think?

        • Matt says:

Oh sorry I didn’t realise you only had the 1 FT. It’s basically what your opinion is on Vardy and I know mine is that he was the biggest waste of time on my WC he did absolutely nothing for me as did none of my Leicester players. Wait for all the team news to come out but I’d prefer someone else to Vardy.

Maybe Vardy, GroS and Chris out to VDH, Pogba and what do you have for a striker?
