FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW38

Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW38. DGW37 was ok, certainly not spectacular. We played our TC on Kane and we all know how that went. OK. We scored 81 in total, net 72, the average was 67 and we saw a red arrow which was a shame. We now stand at 88,040 – our decent run looks over as we head into GW38. Frankly, the end of the season cannot come quick enough for our tired looking team. There were a few other ‘ok’s’ in our side – clean sheets from DDG, Dunk and Chambers, a rare goal from Mahrez and a solitary assist from Son. Definitely not ‘ok’ were Morgan, Sterling, Kenedy, Gündogan and Jesus.
It wasn’t the week we hoped for, maybe we were spoiled by last season’s mammoth DGW scores. Let’s move on, this is depressing me just writing this…..

Last Week’s Result

Let’s go and see what we have decided to do this week…

This Weeks Transfers – we have sold Mahrez & Kenedy and bought Salah and Milivojevic
We’ve done the unthinkable – we’ve only gone and taken a hit for the last game-week of the season. With Kenedy unavailable to play vs parent club Chelsea and Murray and Brighton not renowned for their scoring on the road we decided to not only get Salah back but also draft in Palace’s Milivojevic. Obviously it would help if Mili stopped given Benteke penalty duties! Salah’s return was inevitable and we had planned for it – with the Egyptian look to break a record or two at home to Brighton we trust that the hit is worth it. Hmmm!!

The Team In Full…

Captain – Salah
Salah was the unanimous choice as Captain for this week. Having gone two matches without a goal, the league’s top scorer will be depserate to sign off his great season in style in front of the home faithful. With Brighton safe, we feel it’s only right that Duffy and Dunk roll over and allow Salah to do his thing one more time.
If for some reason Salah doesn’t appear, then Kane is our vice captain.

    evening all.

leading by 15 points in my ml. my ml rival in 2nd place is not doing any further transfers and sticking with this team:

    De gea, Otamendi, robertson
    lamela, milivojevic, eriksen, salah, sterling
firmino, kane (quaner, joel pereira , mbemba and goldson)

my current squad is attached with 1FT and 0ITB. the moves i am considering are:
    1) lingard to mili, hegazi to any defender upto 5.4m (these are the ones i have in mind : chambers, robertson, tomkins, van aanholt,TAA)
    2) jesus to firmino/auba, lingard to ramsey/mili
    3) jesus to firmino, lingard to zaha, hegazi to Tomkins/TAA

feel free to suggest other moves if the above three options doesn’t seem good.

I know it’s not overly inspiring but can you not just do Lingard -> Mili and avoid the hit?

You’ve missed a defender out on your rival’s team, but I’d still suggest your defence looks weaker, so probably option 1. PVA could be good but cover Robertson since you are defending a lead I think.

hey robbo. thanks for that. here is the correct one:

        De gea, Otamendi, robertson, ward
        lamela, milivojevic, eriksen, salah, sterling
firmino, kane (quaner, joel pereira , mbemba and goldson)

i guess i will consider mili and robertson here.

Last GW! Looking at trying to bring in Auba for Jesus. Giving Kane the TC. Is everyone bringing Salah back in?

Do people think son and Trent Arnold are certain to plan

I wouldn’t be certain on anyone playing tomorrow other than perhaps those that Jose ‘announced’ in his post game presser and even then I wouldn’t trust him!

Son was reported on Reddit as having been playing with injections but he looked fine in training on Friday.

TAA was replaced by Clyne in a few paper line-ups but again it’s nothing concrete at all. The one below has Ings playing on the wing so yeah take that with the salt it deserves really.

Ffs I waited too long to do my transfers and Salah has now gone up. I can’t afford to get Tomkins now so I need to get a defender for 4.3. Ogbonna or masuaku maybe? What do ye reckon?

Anyone still awake to give any advice here? I’ve got 1FT and 0.1 itb. Happy to take a hit if needed, maybe even a -8. Smalling, Lingard and Kenedy look the likely ones to go but wondering whether I should do Jesus to Aubameyang or Eriksen to Salah? Thoughts?

Just! Been sorting my team too.

You have many options! I’ve decided to keep Jesus myself but you could do him to Firmino and Erik to Salah. Or Smalling to Robertson and Lingard to Zaha.

Or you could actually get both Auba and Salah if you downed Lingard to say Mili (I think?!) but it’d mean losing Erik and Jesus with a -8 and I’m not convinced that’s worth it.

I could be massively wrong on this but I’d be bringing in Salah in some way, shape or form as a priority.
