Green arrows, we see green arrows! Our 62pt haul has lifted us to 134,896 from 283k. Good progress. Our defence was again the highlight with Robertson’s clean sheet and Alonso’s assists – both also scored maximum bps while Mendy chipped in with a single bonus point despite conceding at Wolves. Salah capo was ok, could have been more, but he is solid again. Josh King even scored for us and Tom Cairney and Firmino got involved with an assist each. Hamer, Kun and Mkhi did nowt and we won’t even name the brainless Everton midfielder.

Last Week’s Result

What have we done this week?

Sold Richarlison; Bought Lucas Moura

Ah, that surprised you, didn’t it? You were all expecting we’d make the obvious and boring move to Walcott. Yes you were. Admit it. Why not Walcott? Good question and one there’s no obvious answer to. Only one of the management team voted for young Wally and even he wasn’t 100% committed to the idea. Truth be told, we’ve all been burned by Walcott in the past. A certain Colombian will attempt to say that he suggested we get Hazard but having checked back through the minutes of our many meetings this week and we can find no evidence of such a suggestion.

Back to Lucas Moura. Why did we buy him? Because he’s not Theo Walcott! In fairness to him, he’s scored three in his last two games and while United were poor on Monday night Spurs were quite impressive and are ultimately a better and more attacking side than Everton. We certainly wouldn’t blame anyone for going down the Wally route, he does after all have two good looking home games coming up. Pedro was mentioned too but didn’t get any concrete votes. Moura did and so he is in.

The Team In Full…

Captain – Sergio Aguero

After reading this weeks Capo’s article we all asked ourselves which of the contenders for the armband we’d most like to wake up beside and Kun won, hands down. So he’s our captain. In all seriousness we can’t ignore his recent record against Newcastle, 11 goals in his last five games against them at the Etihad.

    Morning fellas,

Would you make any changes for a hit (used my FT to do the same transfer as the site team) or let it be till next week? Possible transfers next week are Auba >> Mitro, Ward >> Alonso and Cairney >> Pereyra.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the team article really like the transfer. As a Spurs fan I found it hard not doing that transfer and instead benching Richarlison and holding on to my FT this week (WanB will play in a back four for GW4) but I feel the 2FT for GW5 post-international break will be super-useful. Of course if Ings’ injury is looking bad tomorrow morning then I may have to reconsider!

Some people forget that when Pochettino bought Moura he said that he wouldn’t feature much at all that season because he treats January signings like summer signings. Moura exploding onto the scene at the beginning of this season was always the plan! In Poch we trust!

Not sure what I’m happier about – Moura’s redemption or the fact that I get go to Wembley in October to see my side take on Barca! Happy days! smile

Good looking team there Kickers! Personally, I’d be looking to start Davies and drop either Obi-Wan, Jota or King. He was benched for the United game, and I’d be surprised if he didn’t start for a second game in a row… I know Watford offer a good attacking threat, so Spurs could concede, but Davies offers his own attacking threat. If you’re benching a 6m defending vs Watford, are you sure you want to keep him in long-term?

    Hi All,

Any thoughts on how Moura’s game time will be effected when Son returns?

Hey guys, cheers for the article, would you prefer to have:
    A: Kane and Serri
    B: Hazard and Mitrovic.
    Thanks guys.

    Thanks again guys.
When you’ve already made the Walcott move and then read reasons why I shouldn’t (oh man!)
Looking over the next couple of weeks transfers would you go
    Kane, Joselu and Bennett
    Or
Firmino, Alonso and a 5.6 forward (maybe Joselu again)
I’m nervous about having no spurs at all in the team and think that will come back to bite me!
These are the teams I’m open to any suggestions smile xxx
