Don’t panic…
When McGinn is your joint top scorer on 8 points and he isn’t even your captain you could be forgiven for panicking. But, alas, it’s all relative, and most people were in the same boat this week.

Our new signigns Mings and Abraham proved to be unispired choices as they combined for a grand total of 3 points. Elsewhere we had Sterling on 7, Mount, Pieters and Soyuncu all with 6, Salah on 3, Pukki on 2 and Pope on 1. Our captain (Aguero) didn’t even start the game, although he did come on and notch a belated assist.

All that left us on 50 points, 1 below the average, and an inevitable red arrow, our first of the season. It knocked us back about 20k in the ranks and we are now at 61,495th. It happens… don’t panic.

Our GW7 Result…

Let’s go see what was decided this week…

Our GW8 Transfer(s)

Boringly but probably very sensibly we have unanimously decided to hold our transfer this week. As you can see our team looks decently set up for GW8 and having 2 free transfers for after the international break may turn out to be very useful.

To confirm then we have held our free transfer

Captain – Raheem Sterling
With Sterling getting a partial rest in midweek we expect/hope (delete as appropriate) Pep to play him on Sunday, while we do not have the same level of confidence that Aguero will be as lucky! But we live in hope!

With Wolves having faced a long and tricky Thursday evening in Turkey, albeit a winning one, we would expect City to come out flying with or without KDB.

Salah is our vice captain, just in case we get Pepped!

Not massively helpful this although he has been more forthright in ruling Hanley and Krul out so I suppose there’s some hope.

cheers innit. matip and kdb confirmed out. waiting for manu presser now on awb. might not have a good 11 out this week.

        • eresh12 says:

hmm. only thing i found was below from the manchester evening news site but not that helpful.

“Manchester United could be without Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and Luke Shaw for their clash at Newcastle United on Sunday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said after last night’s 0-0 draw with AZ Alkmaar that he doesn’t expect Pogba to be fit enough to feature at St James’ Park, as he recovers from an ankle problem.

Meanwhile Martial (thigh), Shaw (hamstring) and Wan-Bissaka (illness) are also likely to sit out the Newcastle game, with Lingard out with the hamstring strain he suffered at Alkmaar.

“I don’t know,” Solskjaer said on the possibility of any returning players. “Let’s see on Saturday morning.””

I’m in a bit of a pickle if Cantwell doesn’t play, already in a pickle with KDB as I’ve got a horrible bench…

      • eresh12 says:

same here zed. this is me so far. not entirely sure on my moves yet.

        • Zed Leppelin says:

Yeah, this is me, can’t do anything with a single transfer

        • eresh12 says:

think id hold with that team for now zed. would have gotten someone like mount in but i take it you would need to do that for a hit?

the initial move i was thinking is pulisic to yarmalenko/mcginn. not sure if i should do a hit as well to bring tomori and replace AWB. what moves would you suggest mate?

        • Zed Leppelin says:

Yeah I can’t get anyone without a hit… Is AWB definitely not gonna play? If so, think I’d get rid of him instead of Pulisic who might get a surprise haul… If it seems AWB will start then Pulisic —> McGinn might be a good move

        • It was only an illness this time so I expect he will be back.

        • eresh12 says:

there is no manu presser today zed and this info is what i found earlier “I don’t know,” Solskjaer said on the possibility of any returning players. “Let’s see on Saturday morning.” not that helpful.

is pulisic likely to start you think? not featured in any of the last three league games plus CL. smash told me last week to get rid of him so that was the plan for this week.

        • Zed Leppelin says:

Yeah Pulisic needs to go, I was just thinking if AWB is out then you might wanna move him on first, but Pulisic to McGinn is a decent move for you I think…

        • eresh12 says:

cheers zed. will keep that in mind and see what the others say.
