48 points in GW20 and six above the average. ‘Meh’ about covers it.

Our team did secure a green arrow in the overall rankings this week moving up to 1,141,741 from 1,201,188 – 59,447 places. Woo. Hoo.

We know, we know! “It’s a step in the right direction” / “It’s no red at least” / “The correct side of the average”. Etc. etc. But come on this is boring. We want big scores, flashy jumps. In essence, we want to be the hare not the tortoise!

Not looking at it forensically this week – but we had FOUR players with a solitary point in Alex McCarthy, Vlad Coufal, Paddy Bamford and Harry Kane so thank goodness for Gundogan, Antonio, Grealish, Chilwell and Dias for pulling their weight and doing the heavy lifting for the aforementioned rubber ducks.

If only we’d captained Gundogan but can’t honestly say it crossed anyone’s mind…..

Our GW21 Transfer(s)

Nobody in our number fancies Kane does a Lazarus and starts on Sunday and with not much value to be lost if we need to buy him back, we thought we would dip into the market for a new striker. This one was as quick a transfer decision as has been seen within FF247. Two minutes quick, in fact:

Captain – ILKAY GUNDOGAN

With three quickfire votes for the German (and one member temporarily abstaining due to recent personal form), this one too was quickly done and dusted. We like City’s fixture, the midfielder is in scoring form and ‘could/should’ be on penalty-taking duty.

If Pep peps us, then BRUNO FERNANDES will step up as vice captain.

  2. Hey guys. Planning to take Kane out for DCL.
    Wondering if it’s worth a -4 to remove Saka/Soucek for Salah? The other would go onto the bench. Who among Saka or Soucek would be a better long term bench option ?

    • Both of them are scoring and Salah is doing nothing…why make the move now? How many weeks are we waiting in hopes that Mo will do his explosive thing? Zero in 6 weeks! That is my thinking anyway.

  5. What do you think of my benching Kane? I could do Bamford (whose gone off the boil) for DCL and thinking of Bissouma to Son 4ph? (Son any good without Kane?)
    Haha…have done well with my 4ph these past two weeks and 4 green arrows…so might take a chance?

    • Concerned that Kane will be back sooner than Mou is indicating and waste .4m.

    • I would actually say yes to the hit mainly because I don’t like the 442 you would be playing and think the 352 would be better

    • Bees, Kane will be off for quite sometime.
      By the time he is ready to play again his price will be dropped significantly and maybe will be around when the second WC is used.
      No point keeping so much dough on the bench and hoping for miracles.

      • Oops…already got rid of Bammy. Will keep my eye on the Kane situation. Will probably go for Son.
        Going to to be interesting week…other than MC who do we expect will score well? Wonder how CHE is going to do with the new boss?

        • Don’t care about Chelski. Finally got rid of Zouma for Stones which cost me a hit. Elsewhere brought in DCL for Kane.
          The mass will go with Gundo (C) but can’t decide as I think DCL could overscore him :unknw:

        • Agree. Very possible. I usually follow the herd in this case, so I don’t fall too much in the ranking if I don’t have him. How smart this thinking is I have no idea smile

  6. I have had an awful couple of game weeks. 57 during the DGW and 32 this past week. Really bad luck I guess. Big hitters not hitting. I have dropped some 370,000 places. So I followed the team site and moved Kane out and DCL in. Given the team below do you all see any other changes to make. I suppose a hit or two is not out of the question. Do I deal with the KWP situation now? Any and all suggestions appreciated.
