Welcome to FF247 FPL Team GW36
As we approach the final three gameweeks we come in off the back of a very healthy 137 points in GW35. We know all the decent players had ton-plus scores but ours has seen us rise almost 80,000 places to reside currently at 187,389 overall.
In ordinary weeks we would be bemoaning the benching of Matt Targett (8) and Stuart Dallas (9) but not this week. Well OK, we should have played them over Luke Shaw and Ollie Watkins but hindsight ight n’ all that!
Our top scoring player and leading by example was captain Bruno Fernandes with 38 points. He was ably assisted by double-digits from Diogo Jota (10), DCL (11), Martinez (12), Digne (14), TAA (16) and Mason Greenwood (19).
We’re happy with our lot and press on for a sub-150k finish by looking to finish off with three further green arrows.

Our GW36 Transfer(s)
We come into this week in a healthy position of having 10 players who should play. With one free transfer we should be able to field a full eleven. Iheanacho to Antonio was the initial idea which we liked.
Then it was pointed out by a sage member of the committee that we were coming into this gameweek WITHOUT EITHER Kane or Salah. Salah it was felt was primed for a better run in than Bruno (on paper at least) so we thought for a -4 we will take out Bruno for Salah. Then mathematics came in to play i.e. we couldnt’ afford it!
So we either revert back to our single initial transfer or find a makeweight for the Salah move. Che Adams, fresh off the back of an 11-point haul last time out and home to relegated Fulham was proposed.
However, mid way through Friday afternoon, we’ve put our foot on the ball and decided against giving away 4 easy points and with the chance that Antonio and Champions League-chasing West Ham will do well at Brighton on Saturday evening, we’ve stuck to the initial plan.
To confirm then we have SOLD KELECHI IHEANACHO and BOUGHT MICHAIL ANTONIO
Captain – DOMINIC CALVERT-LEWIN
An insurmountable amount of votes for Dominic Calvert-Lewin at home to last-placed Sheffield United were received so he wears the armband and if something goes wrong with him then Son Heung-Min will pick up the slack.

You could fund it if you did, say, Greenwood to Raphinha and Nacho to Antonio/DCL/Bamford?

Still wondering what to do here…
I am going through with my FH either today, or in GW38, as my team looks okay-ish for GW37.
Would anyone hold their FH until the final week? Is there too much risk of rotation in GW38? Traditionally, there are plenty of goals in the final day but with CL and EL final lurking, it might be a bit too hard to predict.
What would you do?
Any help is highly appreciated!

Thanks, GP! I have one 1 FT and 0.1 M ITB. I am second in my ML and I wanted to battle it out till the end but some unfortunate events killed it for me. I still have some minor chances but he started copying my team, so my only opportunity is an exceptional FH lol
Leave it til the last day then and you will know who you need to go for to try to snatch it at the last minute.

Bruno and Nacho to Son and DCL is an option.
Cheers leeboy. It’s a good option indeed, but I have way too much money in Bruno and wanna keep him for Fulham. Can I hear your opinion re FHing this week or in 38, please?
Regarding Bruno, I sold him this week for Salah. I had a lot of money tied up up in him also, but it’s almost the end of the season and money isn’t really an issue with all these good cheap enablers. The Europa final is three days after Man U play Wolves. The Man U team for Wolves will probably look like the lineup vs Leicester. So Bruno probably has about 90-135 minutes maximum left. Bruno against Fulham looks tasty, but there’s good options out there that will get 270 minutes and surely they’ll outscore Bruno.
With the FH, I’d just go for it this week. There’s no real reason, just a gut instinct to attack this GW and have some fun. I’d get Trent, DCL, some Man City punts like Foden and maybe Mahrez. Leeds players also look good.
Thank you, leeboy! I was leaning towards playing it this week but GP’s wise words got me thinking again. I know I don’t need to play it this week, as I have decent enough squad to cover but the question is whether there is a bigger potential for hauls this GW. You reckon there is?
Also, I just can’t decide whether I’d be able to field 11 on the pitch on the final day. It’s such a madness! The whole season’s been madness tbf.
Re Bruno, I know you are right, maybe I am too biased. I just have a bit of a gut feeling for him going big against relegated Fulham.
Too hard to tell when it’s best to play fh without looking into it further. You’d need to sit down with the fixtures and predict scores and lineups.
If only this was last season when I was actually good at predicting scores (my H&L’s trophy shows for it…a bit of a humblebrag). I will come up with a draft and post it here and see what everybody thinks. Anyway, thanks a lot for your inputs, leeboy!
anyone going for Nat Phillips as a defender choice for under £5m??
He’s a great option to get into Liverpool’s defence, don’t have him as I’ve got Trent.
Not really an exciting signing but if you need someone at that price then he’s OK I guess.
i suppose he is never going to get many goals or assists
a bit dubious tbh as i have Trent and dont want to go double LFC at the back
