Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW36

Sometimes it just becomes about setting your own little goals at this stage of the season. We certainly won’t be breaking any records anyway, but three green arrows in a row has seen us ‘soar’ from 2.2m to 953k. May not seem significant but it puts us on course to beat our worst ever ranking, which was last season at a smidgen over a mil. It’s way off our usual sort of performance but small victories and all that.

Yep, after all of those very good ranks all we aim for this season now is some semblance of respectability.

We finished GW35 on 60, 10 above the average. Thanks largely in part to our Bournemouth defensive hangover from the DGW as the pair pulled in 24, which was more than the rest of the team (22) sans Haaland (14, C) combined.

We have 1.1m in the bank and 3 free transfers to use ahead of GW36. Let’s go see what was decided….

Our GW36 Transfer(s)

It is of course a DGW for Man City and Palace and so with that in mind and 3 City players already in situ our first thought was whether we had the correct ones. No, evidently. With Semenyo off the boil a bit (cue 4 goals and 2 assists…) and Cherki looking very much on it we have decided to switch those two over.

With Palace rotating all over the shop and having just played on Thursday we have decided to ignore them for this one.

With another 2 FT’s to burn we then decided to jump on the Arsenal train once more. City need to win, but arguably Arsenal do more. So let’s ride that. Saka is slowly returning to form at exactly the right time, and to not then also grab the opportunity to get a defender from there too (one called Gabriel, to be specific) would feel like a dereliction of duty.

Chelsea and Palmer can do one as they’ve long since departed to the beach.

To confirm then we have SOLD Sensei, Palmer and Semenyo and BOUGHT Gabriel, Cherki and Saka

  1. Which two would you start of DCL Pedro Truffert Struik?
    Thanks guys!

    • Pedro is on the bench for my team this week. Hope that helps.

    • One would be Truffert for sure, away, he has two assists in the last 3 and the other was a CS. Fulham is likely on the beach.

      Struijk, DCL, Pedro all seem to be off the boil. However, of the three, DCL is attractive as Spurs are not exactly solid defensively, but DCL has not scored for a while, Pedro at least scored a goal last week and Liverpool may gift a goal , so, probably Pedro. (I sold him the week before, so very good odds that he scores a goal or two more in the coming GWs)

      • DCL also scored last gw.. 2g in last 3matches

  3. So I have 5 transfers I have copied the site team but wondering if I should save the spare 2FT or use them? Any ideas would help a lot

    • I’d say save the 2 transfers and use them for the remaining GWs as Arsenal have relatively easy last 2 games

      • I think your right mate. 2FT saved and fingers crossed for a great Haaland TC

    Would like to bring in 3 Arsenal but not sure who.
    I want to ditch Pedro and Palmer, and swap Semenyo for Cherki.
    I have considered Gyokeres, Saka and Gabriel, with Munoz my Palace dgw player, but I am over budget, plus I have a benching problem
    Please help

    • I don’t really like any CP player, you’re really only looking at the Everton game. City need to go all out vs them, and they have a cup Final.

      But Lacroix over Munoz saves 0.5m. His minutes feel safer too.

      • Agreed on CP players.
        My concern with the Arsenal players I want is still budget, and who I play

        • I think Palmer is your most sellable premium player. So him to Saka is your first move.

          If you want tripple arsenal you could change Pedro to Victor. But minutes is the gamble here.

        • Bringing in Gyokeres and Saka for Palmer and Pedro gives me 1.3m. Not enough for Gabriel yet. I can do Semenyo to Cherki which gives me 2.5.
          I would have to ditch Senesi to get him in.
          That leaves me with 0.5m and 1ft to decide if I want a Palace player.
          Happy to go -4 as I’m well ahead in my ML

        • if you have 5 FT no need for -4.
          1.Senesi to Gabriel
          2. Palmer to Saka
          3. Semenyyo to Cherki
          4. Pedro to Gyokeres
          5. Save 1FT or get 1 CP defender

        • Zack, I don’t have the money to do all that. I can’t get a CP defender in.

        • Actually Zack, I can get a CP defender in, but only Canvot, Richards.

    • For Arsenal it is Gabriel, Saliba and Saka.

      I would do Palmer for Saka tbh as Palmer is rubbish and is only worth it for pens.

      Palace are only really viable for this DGW and tbh Convot is the best option for defcon really, for attacking Munoz and splitting the difference Lacroix.

      I would play Senesi over Pedro.

      • I’ve brought in Gyokeres, Saka , Gabriel and Canvot.
        Also swapped Semenyo for Cherki.

    Haven’t been on in a while.

    Here’s my team for this week, already used my FT for Saka. Have 2.8 in the bank.

    Is it worth a -4 for A.Jiménez to an Arsenal player. Need him gone ( Do or do not Google it do see way)

    • 1st – 3 city
      2nd – 3 Arsenal
      3rd – 2 Brighton
      4th – Bruno and maybe a 2nd manu. Sesko is out so Mbeumo maybe.
