Welcome to FF247 Site Team News GW6

I feel we’ve turned point dodging into an art form. We finished on 42 points against an average of 48, and one look at the team makes it fairly easy to work out where things went wrong.

Pascal Groß (14pts) was once again the saviour for many, and unlike GW2 we actually started him this time. A 12pt return from captain Haaland meant that 26 of our 42pts came from just two players. The other nine managed just 16pts between them: Two. Two. One. One. Two. Two. Two. Two. Two. Quite impressive really. Not a single return between them, with our entire defence combining for a magnificent six points. Konsa and Calafiori even threw in a couple of one-pointers for good measure.

Of course, there were points in our squad. Plenty of them. They were on the bench. Verbruggen returned 6, Kadıoğlu 5 and Le Fée 5, leaving 16 points staring back at us from the sidelines. There’s a theme developing to our season so far.

Pick three different players and suddenly it looks like a perfectly respectable Gameweek. Pick the ones we did, and you get 42 points and a GW rank of 7.5 million. In the end it was a red arrow this week, a drop from 411,793 down to 693,887. We’re consistent if nothing else!

Our GW6 Transfer(s)

We had a brief discussion in the usual WhatsApp group chat. Hell, we nearly even made a move. In the end, the only thing that seemed obvious was Szoboszlai out, but with no obvious replacement (for this week at least), we’ve decided to give him a little longer to disappoint us.

We’ve still got our Wildcard tucked away, and if we make it through this week with our patience intact, we’ll have 3 free transfers to play with next time around. That puts us in a pretty strong position to shake things up, should we feel the need. The Robot keeps the armband despite a fixture which could go either way

Or, as is becoming something of a tradition, we could just talk about it again and do absolutely nothing.

To confirm then we have rolled our transfer

PREDICTED LINE-UPS

Back by popular demand! Well, sort of… Drafthound have changed their line-up approach this season and what it means for us is that we are no longer able to display a live feed of it on here due to some technical difficulties. That said, what they have done looks great and is still only a click away so if you want to access those they are HERE

  1. Current WC team 2.4itb what changes would you make? Also having a headache with starting 11

    • I’d be temped on Raya if you only have 2 outfield Arsenal. Otherwise looks good.

      • I agree, but I would also consider Muharemović over Thomas/Davis (okay this GW against Arsenal isn’t great, but he’s great for defcon).

  2. Wissa has one more chance.

  3. I put the WC together a few weeks ago. Still looks decent although Gakpo needs replacing. 7.8 to spend. Thoughts on these options:
    Josh King – great fixtures
Szoboszlai – might play further forward with Isak out
    Barnes – decent fixture
Shade – form but iffy fixtures

    • Barnes is good but you also have Wissa, I have both and I will keep Barnes but Wissa has to do something very soon otherwise h’s out, I think it depends on how long you will keep Wissa, I have gone all in on Newcastle (my team is above) and they have been poor.

Tavernier is another good player, okay not this weeks game but after that it’s a good run of fixtures, what about trying to fit in Saka?

    • The problem with Gakpo to a solid replacement is you’re always going to have a benching headache. I’d be inclined to go for bench fodder and have a nice bit in the bank. It’s that or find someone who rotates with Gross or Wissa, who I guess might be the ones to sit in the bench for them.

  4. Best Isak replacement?

    1) Wissa
    2) Gonzalo
    3) Someone else

  6. Any thoughts here? I’ve got 2FTs which I think I need to use on Gakpo and Isak! Going for Saka gives me two ARS mids and 2 CHE mids. Thoughts on replacements?
