With deadlines between GW’s almost running into each other this somewhat randomly placed and sprawling midweek fixture list always feels like it is simply placed here as a training vehicle ahead of what is about to come over Christmas.
With GW13 having only finished late on Sunday evening we are back at it already on Tuesday and this one goes through to Thursday night and then GW15 kicks off on Saturday. It’s a 2-6-2 split with Wednesday doing the heavy carrying.
Just the two on Tuesday then and we begin with a relegation 6-pointer as the worlds richest club (Newcastle) go head to head with the world yo-yo champions (Norwich) at 7.30pm. If that one hasn’t put you to sleep then Amazon are obviously hoping that you will then switch over to see the 2nd half of Leeds v Palace as they are stategically placed to kick off 45mins later at 8.15pm.
The oh-so-clever ploy continues on Wednesday with Saints/Leicester, Watford/Chelsea, West Ham/Brighton & Wolves/Burnley all in the early slot before you are forced to turn over to watch either Villa vs Man City or the Merseyside Massacre Derby.
We may have spotted the flaw in their plan on Thursday though… good luck getting either Spurs or Arsenal fans to tune in early or switch over later to watch their rivals as the former face Brentford and the latter go to Old Trafford. The rest of us will though, probably just for a laugh.

I would change ur front 3. Wilson scored a lucky penalty and has 1 more good fixture, thats it. Kane is horrible and Jimenez has the worst fixtures. Could also change gallagher and get Bachmann as reserve gk.

Isn’t it time to get rid of Raph and Brownhill as well?
Why would you get rid of Brownhill? at 4.4 and plays every game, that to me is the perfect enabler/bench fodder, waste of a transfer in my opinion..
In your shoes I’d probably roll the transfer – I certainly wouldn’t -4 in a player who’s got City next. If you can get Jota in without having to take a hit, maybe do that.
Brownhill is perfect bench fodder. Raphinha is fine for his price. Tricky fixtures forthcoming, however.
All of us feel the pain re the forwards. I have Watkins on my radar, probably after the Liverpool game.
2ft and 1.8m itb. May as well use a transfer but can’t think what to do apart from change one bench fodder for another? Any ideas?

Likewise no worthwhile transfers. I’d probably switch Gallagher and Antonio.
2FTs, 0.3M in the bank, any ideas? Wilson needs to go soon but I might wanna give him one more game this weekend though… Don’t wanna burn a transfer either

I’m staring at it. Kane has Norwich next, and I think I will give hime this one. From then on, they both look to have good schedules for quite a ways. If Kane gets going, I’ll probably keep him to cover off some mini-league opponents. OTOH, I’ll be curious to see what Rangnick does with Ronaldo. Carrick has made it clear there’s some sort of break coming.
Part of this has to do with “premium forwards”. None of the three has been stellar, and I wonder about the alternatives. Vardy does not appeal, as he has had marked winter slumps; maybe DCL?

So I’ve transferred out Vardy before his brace and Ronaldo before his brace in consecutive weeks….Kane out for the hat-trick this week?
