Welcome back to FPL and if you are one of these shut-down-completely types who has spent the time between the end of Gameweek 3 and this deadline up a mountain with no internet or civilisation, you haven’t missed an awful lot (pffft)! Just tell me you made your transfers or pressed the confirm button correctly? No? You could be in for a rough one then.
Anyway, the fixtures themselves have us off to the capital this lunchtime for a South meets North affair as Palace host Spurs at Selhurst Park.
At 3pm – in a continuing glorious and welcome return of normality – we have count ’em SIX matches on offer. Those who have the luxury of watching matches at this time, we guess you may have your eyes fully on Old Trafford as the world watches how Newcastle will line up without Callum Wilson. United v United, Red v Black and White.
Arsenal and Norwich square off in what already looks like a six-pointer (jokes) and there are matches at Southampton, as they welcome West Ham United, and Watford who host Wolves. Meanwhile two Cities collide at the KP where Leicester and Manchester renew rivalries with the Foxes sharing the most recent fortune in their meetings.
Lastly, it is ironic how two teams who play football on the ground sounds like the airborne battle of the weekend as the Bees play the Seagulls. Brentford v Brighton is also a phonetic dream.
At dinner time (winks), Chelsea and Rom go after the (Argentine-free) Villains.
Sunday has us waiting until 4.30pm before we can enjoy Leeds v Liverpool (Mark Viduka springs to mind) and until then, I don’t know – talk to your family or something I guess.
MNF is Everton v Burnley and is one for the DCL captainers to pin their Gameweek 4 hopes on.

I am thinking if playing my WC, I think the GK need addressing, as well as 1/2 DEF. Shuffle in MID to bring in FWDs that are playing??
Think its a personal choice. You could get away with a minus 4 and take out DCL and Ings for Bamford and Jiminez perhaps (or whoever you like better).
But if you want one of Rom or Ron up top also and a little tidy up around the fringes i would not be against a wildcard either.
I would personally wildcard but it really depends on how many changes you want to make past the obvious stuff to address (Antonio / DCL)
Fell about 500k spots this week so rage-activated my WC… thoughts on this (very thin at the back) one?

Thin at the back but also, how comfortable are you with playing Dennis every week?
In a similar situation but I have Pukki as my 3rd striker and debating the very same dilemma. Just the sacrifice in 3 premium plus TAA

Both Manchester United and Brentford fixtures take a turn for the worse with both Wolves and Chelsea taking a turn for the better (well game week 7 for Chelsea).
What about losing Toney for Jimenez this week either plans for Shaw to James or Rudiger in the pipeline.

Thanks I was thinking myself Amartey to James or Rudiger. I don’t want Jimenez as I’m not sure he’s the same player after that nasty head injury. Yet to score and most of his shots have been off target. Toney out basically means playing Brownhill too
Get rid of toney.
All good saying sell Toney but there’s not loads of options. I’d prefer to go 3-5-2 with Raph but that’s two transfers and not something I can really do this week
Alternatively to James/Rudiger in is Dennis and Raph in for Toney and Brownhill but that’s a hit
I actually quite like this option. Looking at the fixtures the hit could pay off.

I would consider just taking the hit and playing Brownhill this week. That giving you 2 FT to attack next week (any ideas what you would do?) I think your team look in good shape otherwise
I’d roll the transfer. You’ll thank yourself for doing it next GW.
Otherwise Bamford in for Antonio then Antonio in for Toney the following week.

2) Amartey to Duffy
3) The above but with someone other than Duffy
4) Stones & Antonio for TAA & Dennis for a hit

I’m struggling here. Maybe 4 but I’m not a fan of Antonio out. Its tough I’d be tempted to wildcard as I see a few issues. I’m not sure just Duffy gets you by
Cheers Smash. Yea selling Antonio was never on my mind. Bit now I’m wondering who’s better him or TAA. Problem wit the TAA move is it means playing Dennis every week. I hadn’t even considered playing the WC! Now you’ve planted a seed!!!!
Similar advice to what I gave Smash. Just roll with it, hold the FT and have 2 next GW. Team looks good otherwise and some of the moves only seem like they would offer minor improvements for this week only. Then you’d have less flexibility next GW too
