Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 8.

These GW’s get earlier and earlier. We begin this one with a 4pm deadline on Friday as Brighton and Burnley go all Box Office on us. Ever that hardy and all that… The late game is at 8pm as Southampton begin life sans Danny Ings against Newcastle.

Saturday sees the now normal succession of games beginning at 12.30pm with Everton hosting Man United and ending at about 10pm as West Ham and Fulham do battle in the late one (8pm KO). In between Palace and Leeds occupy the 3pm slot and Sheffield United go to Chelsea at 5.30pm.

It’s another marathon on Sunday as West Brom and Spurs kick us off at 12pm, Leicester host Wolves at 2pm, it’s the biggie at 4.30 pm as Pep welcomes Jurgen before Arsenal and Villa welcome in the International Break at 7.15pm.

The games in full…

I would say, this week will be almost a status quo in ranks and positions.
90% have captained Kane and V Son.
The difference will come from the outcome of:
    Jimenez↔Bamford
    Grealish↔Zaha
    Wilson↔Werner

      Gavy says:

Hoping Zaha out scores Grealish this week. Picked him last week and it hurt

      • It’s very possible Gavy.
My finger was on both of them for a day last week, finally went for Grealish who didn’t disappoint last week but don’t expect miracles every time tbh.

        • Gavy says:

If he was playing for a top 4 team he’d be unreal. If villa score, which the should. More then likely he’ll be involved.

          You on captain kane again?

        • Of course I am. I think, might extend a bit further the Kane experiment. Many people will get scared from the upcoming fixtures and start getting City, Man U or Chelsea players for him. I would rather take a gamble and see if he can deliver, as he has done in the past against the “big guns”.

        • Gavy says:

I’ll be keeping kane 100%. The double with son might be over kill. Could get kdb or Bruno in for him

        • Well, this is the conundrum. They do well as a pair. In fact, it has been a very long time since we’ve seen two players to compliment each other so well in the EPL. It will be a hard decision to make, we just have to watch those two.
It might sound cruel, but you wish one of those to be injured in situations like this. I hope not.

        • Gavy says:

They are reminding me of suarez and Sturridge from a few seasons back. I’ll keep them both for the city game, will judge on that

        • inittowinit says:

Gavy, if you’re keeping them for that then you just keep them, you can’t judge them based on possibly their hardest game of the season.

        • Gavy says:

Get what you mean initt, what I mean more so is if the win that I’d keep them both for the season, and not looking for them both to score. Just look sharp

        • inittowinit says:

There’s a lot to be said for simply keeping the best players in regardless.

    bees393 says:

Want to bring in Vardy for Jimi and have exact money. He is going up tonight…worth chancing it?

    Shadow says:

Nearly went for Adams as a straight swap for Ings.

Come on Wilson, but come on McCarthy too..

    Robin Friday says:

Might be a stupid question, but if a points hit is deducted at the start of the next game week (according to the FPL site – “Each additional transfer you make in the same Gameweek will deduct 4 points from your total score at the start of the next Gameweek”) what happens if you take a hit in GW38 and there is no ‘next gameweek’? Assume it takes the points off your total season score at the end rather than letting you get away with it
